Three stories about midwives. I thought this was a nice collection from the three authors, each story was touching, however my favorite was written by Ms. Gray. It was much more interesting to me than the other stories in the book. Overall, an enjoyable and fast read.
I received a copy through Netgalley. Opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley for the chance to read and review this ARC. Oh how I love Amy Clipston and her stories! Very heartwarming collection of Amish stories centering around midwives who help deliver sweet babies, but haven't experienced the joy of having their own children. All three novellas were an easy enjoyable read and I recommend this book to everyone!

'Amish Midwives" is a collection of three novellas -short stories- each one was individually written by an author and those authors were Amy Clipston, Shelly Shepherd Gray, and Kelly Long. Each novella setting was in a different Amish community.

"Amish Midwives" was an excellent collection stories of midwives all of whom had a personal struggle to overcome mixed with a little bit of love. The midwives serve their communities by helping to welcome new babies into the world and strengthened relationships.

I enjoyed all three novellas in this collection. Each one was beautifully written by one of the authors.
I look forward to reading materials written by Amy Clipston, Kelly Long, and Shelly Shepard Gray in the future.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley, no monetary exchange, only agreement was that I write an honest review of my own words. This is my review in my own words.

These three stories warm the soul like a hot drink. I loved the inspiration and faith of these midwives. They each have a special message.
Many thanks to Zondervan and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a novella collection revolving around the theme of midwifery. I've always found both the Amish and midwives fascinating and I enjoy the writing of all three of these writers so I was very excited about reading this. Each of these women are in a different season of their lives and find themselves facing the possibility of big changes. Each story is full of hope and romance and the promise of a new life.

Bundles of Blessing by Amy Clipston is about Kristina Byler, who has given up on the idea of remarrying and decided to build her life around being a midwife. She finds herself very surprised when Aidan Smoker, her ex-boyfriend and the man she was once sure she was going to marry, moves back to their community after having lived in Ohio for eight years. Even though, they're both sure that there's too much pain from their shared past between them, they keep finding themselves being drawn together. As Kristina helps other women bring their blessings into the world, she finds herself wondering if a family of her own might be a possibility for her. As always, Amy Clipston has written an insightful, empathetic story. Her characters are relatable and have a good lesson to teach. This story is about second changes, forgiveness, and new beginnings.

In Shelley Shepherd Gray's A Midwife For Susie Joanna and Dwight explore the idea of love that begins in a deep friendship and being able to forgive oneself. After a tragic accident, Joanna is convinced that she's left midwifery behind her. All Dwight knows is that his longtime friend hasn't been herself lately and he doesn't understand why. Every time he tries to talk to her about what's troubling her, she just evades his questions. When Dwight's sister, Susie announces that she's pregnant and only wants Joanna as her midwife, she has to decide if she's brave enough to forgive herself for the happenings in her past. I really enjoyed this novella. The friendship between Joanna and Dwight was sweet and will make an excellent foundation for a marriage. I definitely related to Joanna's tendency to be her own worst critic.

Kelly Long's Christmas Cradles finds Anna Stolis taking over for her aunt, the local midwife on Christmas night. She finds herself attending to multiple deliveries with the help of the handsome Asa Lapp. This story was sweet and interesting as each delivery had its own distinct challenges.

This book contains three novella-length stories by three talented Amish authors. I liked it that although each story was written by a different author in their own writing style, the reading is seamless from one story to the next. Each midwife’s story was heart-touching. It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite story among the three as there was something that I loved about each one. There’s a theme of faithfully trusting God with the future that links each story together. Readers that love Amish fiction will find that these authors write with authenticity about the Amish faith; and readers that enjoy faith-based fiction will find inspiration in these stories.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This book contains three short stories about Amish midwives.
Bundles of Blessings by Amy Clipston is about Kristina who has lost her husband to death before they had children of their own. Her happiness is now found in helping women bring their babies into the world. She has given up a family of her own. But...a birth reunites her with Aidan who was a friend of her husband and also her first boyfriend. But, he broke her heart many years ago. Can she/they get past that and Kristina have a family of her own?
Book 2: A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepard Gray
Joanna Zimmerman has much guilt from her past, and and doesn't believe she should continue as a midwife. Her best friend, Dwight, is trying to convince her to deliver his sister's baby. But, he doesn't know why Joanna stopped midwifing. Will the truth change everything?
Book 3: Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long
Anna Stolis is filling in for her aunt over Christmas, and finds herself delivering multiple births. She has Asa helping her. With three births in one evening, Anna and Asa begin to grow a relationship.
Three very sweet and endearing stories.
I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Zondervan and Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.

I enjoyed all these authors and their short stories. Each one is a short romance about an Amish midwife. Each one had its own spin. The fun thing is that you can read a story in one sit down and enjoy it and move on to other things. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this genre but doesn't have time to read a whole book in one or two sittings.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Amish Midwives is a collection of three novellas by some of the most popular authors of Amish fiction: Amy Clipston, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Kelly Long. Each story focuses on a midwife who is determined to do their best for their patients and the Lord. Each one reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it to bring glory to God. All three stories are uplifting and enjoyable reads. I am grateful to #NetGalley for the chance to read and review them. Five stars, as always!

Three novellas about women with a passion for midwifing, who find love and a family of their own along the way.

Bundles of Blessings by Amy Clipston
Old flames reunite in this story about lost love and second chances. Kristina gave up her dreams of family after the death of her husband, finding joy in helping other women bring children into the world. Kristina and Aidan are convinced that there is too much in their past to consider getting back together, despite the encouragement of friends in the community. This is a engaging read, with compelling characters and the mystery of what broke them up in the first place. I liked their chemistry throughout as they reconnected, though the ending seemed rather sudden. But an enjoyable read!

A Midwife for Susie by Shelley Shepherd Gray
After a birthing gone wrong, Joanna is unsure about continuing her work as a midwife. But when her childhood friend becomes pregnant, she wants Joanna to attend her and has enlisted her brother Dwight to help convince her. Dwight is a wonderful brother to Susie, and his is supportive and encouraging of Joanna throughout. A beautiful novella of overcoming fear and trusting God.

Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long
Anna Stolis is covering for her midwife aunt over Christmas, but a busy night finds her attending multiple births in one night with the help of Asa Lapp. A sweet Christmas novella of love and new beginnings. Asa is more reserved, but finds himself opening up to Anna and I liked how he is willing to help as much as he can over the course of the busy night. I loved the stories behind the quilts and how the eventful night brings Anna and Asa together.

Overall, three wonderful heartwarming romantic stories of courageous women with a passion for helping other women, who find their own chance at family in this collection. Great for fans of sweet Amish romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Amish Midwives is a well written collection of Amish novellas. I enjoyed each selection. I highly recommend this book.

Amish Midwives is a collection of three stories by some of my favorite authors, Amy Clipston, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Kelly Long. Each of the stories focused on a midwife and her challenges, whether it was delivering a baby in a barn during a snowstorm, a breech birth, or her own love life with ex-boyfriends or childhood friends. I enjoyed each of the stories--stories full of faith, family, friends, and the possibilities of new love. I listened to a library copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. Lauren Berst did a nice job narrating Amish Midwives which made for an enjoyable listening experience.

Three well written stories that are page turners and have you hooked from page one. Each story has its own charm and wit.

Three novellas with strong heroines who devoted their lives to midwifery instead of marrying.

Bundles of Blessing by Amy Clipston found Kristina and Aiden once again in the same community. Kristina had her mind set she would never marry after the breakup with Aiden, but yet she felt drawn to him. Will the truth of why he had never married be to hurtful to find new beginnings and forgiveness for all the heartache?

Shelley Shephard Gray’s story A Midwife for Susie explored the friendship and issues facing Joanna and Dwight. Joanna’s struggles of overcoming a trauma made this is a touching story as her character became stronger with fortitude to do what she loved best, midwifery. This was my favorite tale in this collection with the depth found in the characteristics of the hero and heroine.

Christmas Cradles by Kelly Long was a repeated novella found in An Amish Christmas. Anna covering for her aunt on Second Christmas brought more than her aunt had expected. The deliveries were on a snowing night with Asa driving for her. This was my least favorite story for multiple reasons.

Thank you to NetGalley for an early ARC of this collection without any obligation to write a positive review. I have shared my own opinion.

Amy Clipston, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Kelly Long always write stories that draw you in and have you turning the pages to find out what adventures await. Amish midwifing has been around for many decades. It is a fine profession that can be both a blessing and a tragedy. Each of the three novellas bring to light different aspects. From the sweet story of Kristina and Aiden to the tragedy of Joanna Zimmerman and Dwight Eicher and finally to the Christmas adventure of Anna Stolis and Asa Mast. I do love all of the stories, however, with Christmas being my favorite time of the year, I may have leaned toward Anna and Asa's story haha. Each author weaves not only a page turning tale but includes many uplifting moments and messages. I look forward to many more books by all of these authors. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.
