Thanks for the opportunity to review this book. Building off the covid 19 induced mask mandates, this book is about all the reasons why people wear masks, such as nurses and artists. It’s a nicely illustrated book. Hoping it gets published soon as to not lose its poignancy!

First off this book is beautifully illustrated. The book provides children with examples of people wearing their masks while performing different tasks and explains why those people need to wear their masks. It also emphasazies that wearing a masks helps protect yourself and others. I actually really recommend this book for teachers and parents because it is an easy and effective way to help them bring up the topic to younger children and aid them in seeing the importance of mask wearing. Another thing I enjoyed is the inclusion of asl masks in the book. I actually will be buying a copy once it releases as I loved it. I have also added this book to goodreads as it was not available.

I thought this was a well illustrated storybook with lots of bright colors showing how everyday workers wear masks. Its a good starting point of explaining to children why we need to wear them.

Mask wearing is such a big stressor for little ones. This book does great talking about how masks are helpful in lots of jobs. Using this book as a jumping off point to discuss COVID-19 is a great idea, as the book doesn’t discuss the pandemic specifically. I thought WeWearMasks was beautifully illustrated.
