Such a lovely little read this is. It's quick, only 16 pages, but it has such a momentous take-away. Gold Berry is a sensitive little fairy who wants to be involved in a race, but fears her wings are too small for her to be able to compete. It's a great reminder that we are enough, we can believe in ourselves and be hopeful.

Contradictory statements like the flag snapped back and forth indicating a strong wind and yet everything was soft and peaceful. The language was also more suited to children of a higher age rating than intended. Badly edited.

This was just the cutest story of a fairy that struggles to be better but she has small wings. She shows so much strength and growth in the story and the illustrations are just adorable this was a very loved and cute story. It is definitely something I will purchase for the library for the kids. It is also a story I would like to read aloud to my younger kids. Thank you netgalley for the viewing of the book.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and booksbuzz for the ebook to read and review.

A cute little fairy called Gold Berry wants to enter the annual fairy festival race so that she can win the prize. She wants nothing more than to have her wings light up just like the lantern fairy’s that lead the way for all fairies. Though her wings are very small and she’s not as quick as some of the other fairies.

What an incredibly sweet book. It has sweet messages of hope, self belief, determination, and trying everything to make your dreams come true no matter the barriers. This is a great book for young kids to read, it’s easy and fun and colourful with beautiful illustrations to go with the story.

If you are looking for something heartfelt and enjoyable to read with your kids, I highly recommend this book it’s utterly adorable.

Thank you NetGalley and Generally Verbose for the ARC of The Lantern Fairy.

The Lantern Fairy tells the story of Gold Berry, a tiny fairy in the kingdom of Berryville. Gold Berry is headed to the Fairy Festival to win the trophy and a wish from King Fruitkin. She wants to be a Lantern Fairy but she has tiny wings. Gold Berry will learn that her power was within her all along; all you have to do is believe.

I read this story with my fairy loving 5 year old nanny kid. She thought the story was great. She really liked the bright colors in the illustrations. But, she did not how King Fruitkin disappeared.

I think the story was very cute and had an important theme- to believe in yourself. But, I thought the illustrations were too busy for a small children's book. The five year old disagrees.

Really cute little story that my daughter loved!
Truly magical, and although on my Kindle the illustrations were in black and white, they were pretty so in colour I can imagine they really set the book off well.
Nice little story that teaches children to believe in themselves
