Underwhelmed and not even sure what the point of this genre style is doing for ya readers. Can’t say i am compelled to recommend this.

A fascinating, if dark, concept that played out very well. The romantic aspect was also very swoon-worthy.

This was a fun read and I really enjoyed the narrator. It was the perfect read after The Final Girls Support Group.

I actually liked most of this book.

Have you ever read a book you’re pretty sure was written specifically to be made into a movie or series? This is one of those. It worked as a book. It was good. But I think it would work so well as a movie.

Unique concept. Strangely likeable, unlikeable characters. Teenage angst to the extreme. Unlikely friendships. It was… it was strangely good, yet uncomfortably so because of all the murdering teenagers who lack empathy and stuff.

*received for free from netgalley for honest review* Don't care much for love triangles or whatever that was but other than that pretty good read, something different

I chose this book for my book club this past July and I am very glad I did. I sadly didn't read this when I was approved due to depression but I am also very glad I didn't try to push myself to read this because I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much had I MADE myself read this.

The book/plot was definitely not what I was expecting from the title. I was actually pleasantly surprised to learn this was about a bunch of teen killers with some genetic anomaly but out main character actually wasn't what everyone thought she was. The ending of the book killed me and then revived me.

I LOVED this book so so so so much! Yes, I felt there were a few pointless things in it that should have been left out.

Why didn't the main character try harder to prove her innocence BEFORE coming to the camp? I felt she didn't seem to care as much about it as she should have, she's a teenager- I feel like trying to get out of jail would have taken over her entire life. Instead, she had figured out how to fit in for the most part.

I didn't like a few of the characters, or the weird relationship at the end. Why didn't she just get with him to begin with? The love triangle felt... forced. Like it was just a filler.

All in all, I enjoyed the storyline and the ending and I hope to read more from these characters.

First teen fiction read for me in a while, and I loved it! I was glued to Signal's character development as she tried to navigate whether or not she is a murderer alongside the group of other teen killers. I also enjoyed the relationships between all the characters and side plots. Everything about this book kept me glued. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Teen Killers Club was - Well, it was different. Needless to say, it had that in the plus column from the get-go. I don't read (or listen) to much teen or young adult fiction anymore. Mostly because the older I get, the more trouble I have relating to teenagers, especially today's teenagers. Nevertheless, this book caught my eye so I jumped right in. And I wound up being quite impressed. I won't go into the details since anything that isn't included in the blurb doesn't need to be out there. Instead, this is definitely one to be soaked up without spoilers. There are lots of twists, some sit up and take notice moments, and a group of characters that, love them or hate them (and there are some of both), you'll be intrigued enough to want to know more. This one is even more impressive for being a debut, and Lily Sparks has definitely set the bar quite high for her next novel. The narrator for this book, Jesse Vilinsky, was new to me but I'll be happy to listen again. She does get a bit quiet at times, but I'm not sure if that was the narration or just a problem with the audio. Either way, I did have to turn up the volume a couple of times. I will note that this one does get a little disturbing at times, so I'd use caution depending on your teen's maturity level.

3 stars. I have so many thoughts on this one. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I also hated it, too. Review to come.

Due to being a high school teacher, I often fall behind on writing reviews. Here are my initial thoughts.

While a little slow and repetitive in some areas, I loved the Minority Report premise of plucking teens with a genetic marker for potential sociopathic tendencies and shipping them off to a secret, government-funded assassin training camp. That, and the cast of surprisingly likeable criminal misfits as well as a complex and twisty plot, left me hoping there's a book 2 in the offing.

I thought that this book was really fun! the characters were all very distinct and different and I immediately enjoyed every single one of them. I was even somewhat interested in the love interests. I thought the plot was kind of cool and didn't get too bogged down in the details. It lost it's way a little near the end but overall this is one of the better YA books I've read.

Teen Killers Club by Lily Sparks is a book that you will not want to put down and is continuously packed with action. It is a mystery unlike any other and the plot of the book is suspenseful and always compelling. I also think that the narrator of the audiobook did a very good job of telling the story and knew where to emphasize important passages of the novel. Any mystery lover should listen to this book!

I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Signal is framed for the murder of her best friend. Facing years in prison, she and other teens accused of murder are recruited to a top secret society of teen killers. The kids are taken to a camp to learn their trade. Signal claims her innocence throughout and goes on the lookout for the person who really killed her best friend Rose. Deep relationships are formed with this group of teens and multiple moments of the book where I laughed and gasped! Highly recommend.

There are definitely elements of this book we've seen before. Killers used as a strike force, controlled by "kill switches". That was basically the idea behind Suicide Squad. The only real difference here is that the killers are teenagers. We've seen teens as covert agents as well. And of course, the falsely convicted innocent protagonist trying to bring the true killer to justice. No real surprises in the plot elements. But the characters are fairly well developed and compelling. The plot is well paced, though some parts of the plot are a little underdeveloped. Not a super complex read but an entertaining one.

This book follows our main character, Signal, as she grapples with trying to fit in with a bunch of teen killers while not being sure if she is a killer herself. The world thinks that she killed her best friend, however she doesn't remember anything from the night the murder happened.

I ate this book up. I loved the bad b*itch vibes that were served to us on a silver platter. The friendships and relationships formed throughout this novel were wonderful to read about.

At about the 75% mark is where the book really picked up speed for me and I started to love it. I was gasping and stressed out for all of our main characters.

I ended up giving this a 3 star solely because I only "loved" it from 80% to the end. Also, I don't tend to give YA novels a 5 star very often.

This was such a fun and interesting read. By fun, I mean stabby and mysterious. I highly enjoyed it. 4.5 ⭐

The story is about teen killers that are brought to a camp to learn how to kill and not get caught so that they can go on "missions". They only take the highest class teen killers to be in this camp. The only problem is, Signal may not have actually killed anyone...

As we go through camp, we learn bits and pieces about Signal and the other campers. There is even romance blossoming in the camp, which leads to rivalry but also tight friendships. Someone knows Signal's not quite who they think she is and is willing to help find out what really happened that night.

Shit gets crazy for a bit when someone makes an attack on the camp from the outside. We find out eventually why and who would want to stop what is going on at the camp. Stakes are high and no one is safe, even from those that brought them there.

As the story progresses and our teens start going out on missions, they learn nothing is quite as it seems and how strong the friendships they've made at camp really are. Who will survive and what will they do with the information they've found.

The narration of this story was great. I felt the narrator fit the story perfectly and brought so much excitement feeling to it. I would reccomend this story to anyone who is just getting into the genre.
