3.5 I saw this movie and loved it. However, when I listened to the book...it was ok. Not sure why. Maybe I will give it another chance more toward Christmas time.

Thank you #NetGalley for letting me review this audiobook.I did not realize this was also a movie until after I listened to this audiobook. This book combined Christmas with a time travel storyline in such a wonderful way.

I thought the story line was great but struggled to get through this book because I found the narrator to be dry which, in turn made the plot feel slow. It was a great little Christmas novel for around the holidays!

This was such a cute fun lighthearted listen. Perfect for the holidays. It gave me all the warm fuzzy holiday vibes, I also really enjoyed the Hallmark adaptation of this as well. Perfect casting for Charles.

I was unable to download this audiobook in time as I didn't realize it was on my shelf. It was archived too quickly from the time I requested it.

I went into this thinking it was a romance and it’s really more of a historical fiction. It was slow and not really what I wanted but I did enjoy the ending.

A Timeless Christmas is pretty much as I expected it would be. That is to say it's a cute, clean romance, and it runs the predictable timeline of just about every Hallmark Christmas movie I've ever seen. That's the beauty of them, though - Right? When we want to be carried away from reality for a while, a story like this one is a good way to do it. The story is charming enough to put a smile on your face, and the time travel aspect is fun. The couple has good chemistry, and I can see how this one would make a good choice for film. Kate Rudd is the narrator for the audio version, and I have to say that she has a voice suited to this type of story. It's my first listen with her as narrator, and I'm impressed with how she brings the story to life. All in all, A Timeless Christmas is cute, entertaining holiday romance that is well suited to the Hallmark brand.

This was a nice tale to listen to while prepping for the holidays. But I personally hate time travel novels and if I had known that was what this was, I would have never finished it. However, I did enjoy it, and I think many others will as well.

Title: A Timeless Christmas
Author: Alexis Stanton
Read by: Kate Rudd
Publisher: Hallmark Publishing / Dreamscape Media
Length: Approximately 6 hours and 52 minutes
Source: Review Copy from Hallmark Publishing / Dreamscape Media through Net Galley. Thank-you!

Megan Turner is a historical reenactor at the beautiful historic Whitley Manor. The owner, entrepreneur and inventor, Charles Whitley, mysteriously disappeared in 1902. One day, a mysterious man appears in the study claiming he is Charles Whitley. Does this explain why Charles disappeared in 1902? Why did Charles time travel to 2018 and how can he return to his time?

I liked this charming tale. Charles is a fish out of water exploring the wonders of the modern era. He also has time to ponder why he doesn’t celebrate Christmas and think about what is truly valuable in life. Charles also helps Megan to realize that she needs to move forward in life and ask her advisor for a recommendation to move on with her career. As the two find themselves falling in love, what will they do when Charles returns to the past?

I love time travel movies and novels and thought this was a sweet one. I enjoyed the clean romance and I see that there is a new Hallmark movie version of this book this year. I definitely need to check it out.

Kate Rudd was a great narrator. I like how she had unique voices for the characters

Overall, A Timeless Christmas is an enjoyable time travel clean Christmas romance.

This is the perfect audiobook for the holiday season. If you enjoy Hallmark movies, "A Timeless Christmas" is absolutely for you. The characters are well developed and believable, the setting sounds gorgeous with descriptions that allowed me to properly enjoy without thrusting Christmas joy too into my face, and there was the holiday happiness ending you expect. I was hoping to discover who the design traitor was (I had a suspicion) but that was the only "loose end" and it wasn't exactly a critical element, just something I jumped on as a mystery lover. Overall, it was a fun, enjoyable read for a holiday season unlike any other.

A Timeless Christmas took me out of my comfort zone and put me in touch with my heart. It's the same old story told from two different angles and leaves a huge mark on the soul. Megan and Charles are a love frozen in time, waiting for their chance at forever. Rudd narrates a beautiful yet broken fairytale that leaves a lasting impression. Stanton takes an interesting approach to romance with breathtakingly timeless results.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me the chance to listen to a copy of audio version of A timeless Christmas by Alexis Stanton (read by Kate Rudd). Megan is a tour guide at a beautiful historic mansion, whose owner, Charles Whitley rose to wealth only to disappear without a trace in the early 1900's. Charles was always intrigued by the future. He just never expected to go there. But when he repairs a mysterious clock he bought on his travels, he’s transported to the twenty-first century, with his home decorated for Christmas and overrun by strangers. Charles is determined to find a way back to his own era, but Megan and Charles both feel a once-in-a-lifetime connection. Could it be that, somewhere in time, they belong together? This was exactly what I needed for the holiday season. This is a sweet, holiday romance, with a time-travel theme, and even though you could say, the character of Charles acclimated very quickly to the present day, it was wonderful to listen to. The narrator Kate Rudd did a great job. Made into Hallmark Original movie, I am looking forward to watching, I do recommend this holiday book, I plan to read again next year!

Another Hallmark movie moment. This was a holiday romance that was not really romance. The man out of time, Charles, was not a romantic at heart. He seemed a bit jaded, cold, distant. Megan was the one woman that could get Charles through a time period that he knows nothing about. This was a clean slow brewing romance. As with most Hallmark stories love comes in the end. It was nice watching a man out of time get acquainted with the world around him.

Narrator was pleasant.

Sorry, I thought I would not be able to listen and review this title, but t still appears on my bookshelf on my NG app, It may be due to me sampling the start of the narrator. I will update my review once I finish listening to it (over my holiday break).

thank you

Enchanting Story

I'll admit to having a soft spot for both time-travel and holiday romance, and this one is both! The first scene takes us back to the past where we see young industrialist Charles Whitley touch a clock... and something mysterious happens! We flash forward to the present. This young man disappeared in 1902, and currently, his house is open for public tours. The heroine is a newly minted Ph.D. historian who gives tours acting as the man's housekeeper while trying to decide how to move forward professionally. Imagine her surprise one day when she sees a man who is not the regular impersonator of Charles Whitley in the study, and he gives the tour group quite a show, demanding answers about why they are in his home! It takes a while for Megan and Charles all to figure out what's happened, but then Megan becomes his tour guide to the 21st century. The author did a good job showing Whitley as gentlemanly and more formal than a man of our time would be. I thought Charles, as a man who was interested in the technology of his day, showed the appropriate wonder and curiosity such a man would have had when shown 21st-century tech. He certainly had a personal growth arc, too, as he was very closed off back in his time, focusing on his business and science. Megan gently showed him a new way. But would his jealousy toward his old rival—who not only married his fiance but moved into the house Whitley had built for them—keep him from happiness in the present? Which is stronger, love or hate? You'll have to read or listen to the book to find out!
