Unfortunately I didn’t realize this was book 6 in a series. For me that means I didn’t really understand it, however it was written well enough to make me want to start the series from the beginning.

If readers are looking for a murder on a ship, Elliott’s got the story for you. First of all, a body washed up on the shore of a crew member. But then a second body washes up and it’s Marc’s ex, Lacey. Addie is presented with a torn out page of a book, but there isn’t enough information to find out which one it is. But the ship’s library is full of books, and some of them appear not to have the provenance their paperwork claimed. So there are a few mysteries here, and Addie is stuck on the boat with the rest of the passengers (the happy couple made it off for their honeymoon) and building her murder board with the tools she has available.

I’m not sure the direction this series is going with Marc but it’s getting a bit ridiculous. He didn’t treat Addie well, she is with Simon, I hope there’s not more back and forth. He’s dealing with some work political issues with his girlfriend, Riley, who has higher ambitions.
The author does an excellent job of moving the story forward and putting together clues with those on land and those on the boat. The setting was fun because the boat’s just off the harbour, they’re not stuck at sea or anything and they could technically go home at any time. It was a great way to incorporate the community feel of the town in an external situation.

Overall, series readers will enjoy the latest instalment and we’ll have to wait and see what’s next for the series.

Addie is maid of honor for her best friend, Serena, who has turned into a minor bridezilla. Serena is marrying the son of a very wealthy man, and the step-mother keeps trying to change the wedding from simple and small to an extravaganza. The wedding is held on the family yacht and is beautiful, and the couple head off to England for their honeymoon. Before the wedding, a body is found on a nearby beach. The day after the wedding, the body of a former friend is found. The murders may be related to the people on the yacht for a myriad of reasons. There are overlapping romantic triangles, a library with numerous forged copies of first editions, and hidden secrets. Which is the cause of the murders and who is responsible. With Addie’s knowledge of books, she quickly becomes involved in the investigation. This is a fun “locked room” mystery, with the locked room being the yacht.

Under the Cover of Murder is set on a yacht and as an inveterate cruiser, they had me at the gangway. Serena Chandler and Zach Ludlow are to be married on his family’s yacht and Addie is the maid of honor.
Before they board a man is found dead under suspicious circumstances and Addie gets involved in trying to identify him.
His stepmother is a rather controlling woman who interferes with Serena’s plans for her wedding. When they get on board and the stepmother has changed things yet again Serena is not pleased so Addie calms her down.
Onboard the wedding party and guests are enjoying all of the amenities of the yacht and all is flowing smoothly until another body turns up. The body of a guest who had been wreaking havoc at the reception and wasn’t actually invited.
Needless to say, this leads to a lot of speculation and investigation. Are the murders connected? If so how are the victims connected? Who would gain by their demises?
Along the way, Addie discovers that some of the yacht owners precious one of a kind books are forgeries.
Addie starts a murder board with her friends and theories abound as they investigate all of their suspects and try to not rattle the wrong cages.
Ultimately the perpetrator is someone you would least likely suspect.
This was an interesting read and ultimately satisfying read and the setting was great. Now is someone would just invite me for a cruise on their yacht (sans murder) I would be happy.

This series just keeps getting better and better. What a pleasure to be able to read an advance copy thanks to NetGalley and Kensington.

Being number six in the series, I was anxious to see where life would take Addie next. I was happy to find out it was a luxury yacht in the local harbor. The yacht is the site of a very special wedding and Addie was invited to stay onboard as part of the wedding party.

Now it is no shock there was a murder or two but who and how were interesting. And as all books in this series, there was a book theme tied to it. I especially love this about the series. Due to the murder, everyone has to stay onboard. Of course Addie has to improvise but is able to come up with a murder board as this is how she works best. She also has new minds helping her on it.

The story includes all the usual characters and some we see bit more of than we did before. This keeps the series fresh in my opinion. I do love her with Simon and look forward to seeing what's next for them. But, the ending may change the love of her life....read to find out what I mean.

I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were believable and at times had me laughing. This was another book which I finished in one sitting and in fact I was so engrossed in the story that when I turned the last page I was a bit sad I couldn't live in that world any longer.

Awww a wedding aboard a luxury family yacht ~ sounds so romantic.
Wait a minute two murdered bodies are found.
I have attended many weddings but never on a yacht but sure this is NOT typical!
This is my first read in the ‘Beyond the Page Bookstore Mysteries’ series and this is #6.
I found by going back and reading some reviews I got a bit caught up on the characters.
Addie Greyson is a bookstore owner and seems to be more involved with police/murder investigations. But that is what you do if you are a Cozy Mystery Protagonist`~ Right?

Love a nice cozy mystery ~ fun read! ⭐⭐⭐.4

It's finally time for Serena Chandler and Zach Ludlow to walk down the aisle. However, as with any wedding there is bound to be a hiccup or two! This time the trouble comes in the form of a dead body found on the beach, and an uninvited guest. Will Addie Greyborne and Police Chief, Marc Chandler, be able to solve the crime before Serena and Zach's big day is ruined? Not if Addie has anything to do with it!

Ever since Addie Greyborne stepped into Greyborne Harbour in Murder by the Book I've been absolutely smitten with this series. It is a bibliophile's dream, with all the bookish treasures at both Addie's store and her house. This time the bookish treasures have moved aboard a luxury yacht, and there is the mystery of not-quite-right "first editions"!

With the murders surrounding the first editions, I love that this gives Addie a reason to "snoop"! Not that she wouldn't have tried to anyway. She sweeps up friends, Catherine and Paige, along with her, and the three make a fabulous detective trio as they follow the clues.

The mystery itself was first class! The entire time I was on the completely wrong track, and I didn't manage to solve it before Addie and Marc. I loved that the mystery was a "locked room", in that the entire group were stuck on the boat! It definitely had a very modern-day "Agatha Christie" feel to it.

Under the Cover of Murder is my favourite in this series so far! The ending gave me all the cozy "curled-toes" feeling, and I just loved trying to solve it alongside Addie! If you haven't visited Greyborne Harbour yet I thoroughly recommend you do! Start with Murder by the Book and you'll be so hooked, that you will want to read them all!

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. Addie is a fun character who knows her books. Although she may not always go looking for crime, she always finds the criminal. This book kept me guessing longer than some of the others in the series. So many motives, two murders, and the reader is not quite sure which crime is the crime Addie needs to solve. Even better the whole story take place on a super yacht. Worth the read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review of the book.

This series is always a mixed bag for me. I tend to find the protagonist unlikable, but I do love the setting and premise of the series (a woman owning a bookstore finding herself in all kinds of mystery and mischief).

I felt like this was a weaker entry in the series. The setting is fun--a "locked room" mystery on a yacht. That was the best part of this one for me. Otherwise, the number of confessions the protagonist seemed to stumble upon became a little much--even for a cozy mystery. If you follow this series, however, there is some movement in the personal lives of the characters that could be important--so you probably will still want to read this one to make sure you understand the character trajectory.

As a final note, even though I didn't love this one I still keep reading the series. So I would recommend this to others who have followed this series thus far. If you haven't read the series before, I recommend you start with the first and move forward.

Addie is back again! This book is different from the others in this series because it takes place on a fancy yacht rather than the usual places around Greyharbor. It took me a couple of chapters to get into this book because it was not taking place in the usual places, such as Addie's bookstore or Serena's tea shop. I think the author does a great job of describing the yacht and just how grand it is to stay on board.

Of course it is taking place on the yacht because Addie's best friend Serena is getting married on board to Zack. I think the author does a great job of keeping you guessing right until the end because there really are so many suspects. It seems like so many have a motive for the killings and other secrets that are discovered along the way.

This will be another hit for author Lauren Elliott! She is one of my top favorite cozy mystery writers. I look forward to the next in this series!

This is a series that I've found always to be interesting as I love anything regarding books. When a wedding is added to the book angle and on a luxurious yacht, I found it a very interesting read.

The characters' relationships are continuing to evolve as time passes and I felt like I was visiting with old friends.

It's well-written and easy to read. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Lauren Elliot’s 6th book of her “Beyond the Page”
series shines as the apex! Elliot keeps our attention as she intertwines the characters in unexpected relationships. Mother and daughter’s romantic rivalry is electric adding sparks that were unexpected and fully caught by Elliot

Addie Greyborne has detective skills that surpass the local police department’s. Her expertise with book’s become priceless as she detects falsehoods. Romantic interests, past and present, shadow Addie’s search for murderer’s who killed around the time of her best friend’s wedding. Following the second murder, all of the wedding
guests are sequestered to a luxurious yacht fully surrounded with full-service staff. Unfortunately, a murderer remains on board resulting in questioning everyone’s motives.

The book has a surprising and climatic ending that brings all of storylines together. It was an enjoyable easy read. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This cozy mystery was a very fun read. I loved the characters in this story, they were filled with so many secrets, I couldn't find out whodunnit until the end. It was a surprise. The plot was very interesting, but what I loved the best about this book is that the author picked the exact character to be the victim as I would've chosen. Definitely a five star read. I received an advanced reader's copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book. It's got a lot going on a all times. It's fast paced and the characters are great. I was surprised by who the killer was, he just wasn't on the radar. #UndertheCoverofMurder #NetGalley
