The premise of our loves lives possibly being coded into our DNA is a fascinating idea. Mix in some grumpy (not quite enemies) to lovers and I'm sold.

A sweet romance about a potential new dating technology. While sweet, I didn't connect with the main character's romance for the majority of the book. While I am glad that the two ended up together in the end, there were a lot of instances where they relied heavily on the fact that they were told they were perfect instead of digging more into interests and building trust and connection.

I was looking for a light summer/beach read and this was exactly that. I rarely read romance novels, but I got through this one in two days. Jess Davis is a single mom who’s a statistics expert. She was never married to her daughter Juno’s father and has basically avoided relationships ever since their breakup. When Jess hears about a cutting-edge new DNA-based matchmaking company, she’s intrigued by finding a numbers-based match. Jess is shocked when she learns that her test results came back as an unbelievably compatible 98% match with the company’s founder Dr. River Peña. She’s especially stunned because she has already met River and found him to be rude and arrogant. The development of their relationship is fairly predictable and so is the inevitable conflict and conflict resolution, but I still enjoyed the story. It definitely appealed to the math-nerd part of me. Thanks to #netgalley and #gallerybooks for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3 1/2 stars. I have been reading (and loving) Christina Lauren for years. I enjoyed this novel quite a bit but not as much as some of their others.

I truly did enjoy this book. It was very unique and enjoyable unlike anything else I've read from Christina Lauren. I found the couple to be really enjoyable. I personally am not a big fan of the fake dating trope but it felt like this was a great spin on that trope. The chemistry between the couple was palpable. This book had a great host of supportive friends and family members. Which is great to see about a book featuring a single mom. I also loved that Jess was a single mom. We don't normally get to see single mom's have their own love stories. Jess and Juno were wonderful and I adored Fizzy. This was overall a enjoyable read.

I love Christina Lauren (the duo) and was not let down by this book! I loved that Jess was not only a single mom but also a SCIENTIST (yay for more inclusion and REAL characters). One of my favorites I've read by Christina Lauren so far!

The premise of this novel sounded interesting--finding your soulmate through a DNA test. Although I did love the main characters, I just didn't love them together or feel any spark between them. I do think that there are many who would love this story, especially if they like romance, but for me, this was just an okay read.

Funny, witty romance between two people who are connected as soulmates by a DNA dating service, Loved the chemistry between Jess and River. Highly recommend to all romance lovers and book fanatics.

Jess Davis is a brilliant single mom with abandonment issues. When she learns about a new DNA matchmaking company, she thinks this could be her chance until she is paired with the company’s founder, Dr. River Pena. She knows him and doubts that they could ever be compatible. When she is offered money to try, she cannot refuse. A funny and thought provoking read about what makes a soulmate. Fans of Christina Lauren will enjoy this contemporary romance. 3.5 stars.

I have been a CLo fan for years and have read almost all of their books. I feel like they have evolved since their earlier series, and I have loved the evolution! The Soulmate Equation has the great characters and chemistry that we have come to expect from the dynamic duo. I loved that there was an interesting combination of things going on in this one... a dating app, lots of fascinating science, and a single mother. And Fizzy! I really hope we will see more of her with her own book in the future.

Jess is a single mom and a statistician (A.K.A. Mathematical genius!) that signs up for a new Genetic based dating app on a whim and unknowingly turns her life upside down. Unbelievably, she is matched with one of the creators of the App, Dr.River Pena, and they are total opposites.

This was an opposites attract done very well! With lots of laughs and tender moments as well.

The Soulmate Equation has a good premise – find your potential soulmate through DNA matching. It can be an efficient process that eliminates those many conventional on-line matches that only result in frustration and a wasted evening. Sounds too good to be true? That’s what single mom Jess Davis thinks when her best friend signs her up with GeneticAlly.

I really wanted to like this book and there were parts that were enjoyable. The characters are pretty likable, although my least favorite was Jess, while her daughter, Juno, and best friend, Fizzy, were hands-down the most appealing to me. The premise is interesting and the humor is gentle and well-done.

There’s a lot of dialogue concerning the science behind the algorithm that is used to determines the perfect match. While it added depth, it also seemed to be a bit more information than was necessary or germane to the story, and after a while I found myself skimming the pages in order to get back to the main events. As a result, the story seemed to lose its pace in many places and was much longer than necessary. For these reasons, I would give The Soulmate Equation 2.5 *s but will bump it up to 3.

I love the Christina Lauren duo, and this was no exception! I loved Jess, Juno, and their grandparents. Fizz was a fun character as well. I’m a bit skeptical on the premise of the story with DNA being a factor in compatibility, but it didn’t prevent me from enjoying the book. Definitely recommend!

I’m all for online dating, especially in this day and age, being represented but something about this book just didn’t match for me.

I love the wit and science throughout the book, I love a good brain workout along with my romance; but it still felt somewhat lacking.

Jess and River were an okay couple by anyone’s standards, and enemies-to-lovers and single parent romance to be sure; but it just didn’t feel the need to continue swiping right on my kindle.

Jess is a single mom that's down on her luck. Life has been hard for her and the only thing she really believes in is data and statistics. She decides to try GeneticAlly, which helps you find a partner through a DNA match. It appeals to her scientific mind. She gets a 98% match with the founder of the dating site Dr. River Peña. It doesn't make any sense because she can't stand him. However, the company will pay Jess to keep going to events with River and she begins to realize maybe there's more to him than she first thought. This books was sweet, funny with lots of chemistry between the leads. Another winner from the writing team of Christina Lauren.

This is one of my favorite Christina Lauren romances in recent years. I do wish there was more spice, but the relationship between the main characters was great. I really liked the single-parent romance aspect of this.

Perfectly enjoyable, super quick read. Would recommend for cross country travelers looking for a romantic one plane trip book.

Rivers is your nerd, bookish, scientist guy but intensely passionate underneath it all. So his Biotech company matched him with Jessica, a single once bitten twice shy mom. So, the experiment starts and it was public too. Something like a scientific dating game. It worked, but apparently his colleagues had doctored the data. So, what worked? Science or emotional science? Yeah read this to see. CLnever fail to surprise me. I always one click their books. This is no exception.
