Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an e-ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This was such a cozy read!! I'm a little bit sad that I couldn't get the chance to read it on Christmas time, but it was still great tho!
I'm extremely careful when I'm selecting the romance books I want to read, cuz' I tend to dislike them pretty fast >•< with that said...
I adore this couple a lot, I think that he's way too good for her.. but it was still a great short read. I laughed so badly in certain parts of the book and that was what definitely kept me reading :)

Congrats to the author and I trust that some of the punctuation marks were corrected:)

A quick Christmas romance that is cute but not quite there in terms of delivery as it felt incongruent in the time-lapses and change of POV.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a cute little holiday story about ex-best friends meeting again after 10 years. Based at Christmas time Carina wants to surprise her fiance by gifting herself to him at a hotel room. She ends up getting delivered to the wrong room where she meets Rad. After eventually getting to the right room she finds her fiance cheating on her and goes back to Rad.

The timing in this story felt a little off to me. The first half of the book is Christmas eve, and then the last half jumps 3-4 times throughout the next year. There were also flashbacks as well which was nice to see where Rad and Carina came from but I felt the story could have been longer and showed us more what happened in between the time jumps.

Other than that the story is great to read around the Christmas time, and you get to see what the holidays are like in New Orleans.

This was a short but charming Christmas story full of laughter. It was a light novella full of wit, charm and adorable characters. Carina decides to surprise her fiancé by having herself delivered in a wrapped Christmas box to his hotel room. Only to be delivered to the wrong room and with stranger. She never expected to discover her fiancé with another woman. Realizing the stranger was actually Conrad (Rad) LeBlanc, her childhood friend, gave her something to keep her from falling into despair. Rad had loved Carina all his life but she never realized it. Now several years later will they get their chance of love together?

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance readers copy of this story.

The Christmas Mistake, by Josephine Templeton, is available at booksellers on 12-1-2020. It's a cautionary tale for those thinking about doing something out of the ordinary to a loved one. Boy did it go wrong, until it went very right. The characters are fun, even the cheating boyfriend has his moments. I liked the plot and a good Christmas book always has my attention. It was an enjoyable read.

3 stars for this second chance Christmas love story!

Thinks with Bart and Carina. On Christmas Eve, Carina decides to travel from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to New Orleans to surprise her fiance. She is the one that ended up surprised. First, she is delivered to the wrong room, where her high school best friend is staying. Then, next door, she finds Bart with a dominatrix. The positive of this, is she reconnects with Rad, her bff. The romance is slow burn, with a HEA. Cute story that can be read in one sitting! Very fast read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and GenZ Publishing for the ARC of The Christmas Mistake by Josephine Templeton.

Carina's fiancee has to work over Christmas so she's heading to surprise him at his hotel room. But, Carina gets dropped off at the wrong hotel room. Dun dun dun. Carina's fiancee is not the perfect man but rather an ass. An awkward meeting brings two old friends back together. Throw in the magic of New Orleans and you have the foundation for a fantastic book.

I loved the beginning of the book. I thought all of the scenes that took place in New Orleans were fun to read and cute. I liked the switching back and forth between Carina's and Rad's point of views. I loved the flashbacks to their childhood friendship. But, when Carina and Rad return home, the story just dragged for me.

If the book had ended with them leaving New Orleans, The Christmas Mistake would have been a five star read. But, the story sank in Baton Rouge and The Christmas Mistake ended up as a 2.5 star read for me.

I received this book complimentary from NetGalley but all opinions are my own.
This lost a star for how short it was. It was really cute though! I’ll be keeping an eye out for future books by this author. I liked the characters and the quick-changing setting. I liked how the romance played out. This was a short and sweet one.

Unfortunately I can't say I really enjoyed this book. I found it quite rushed and the main characters quite boring. I was very disappointed with how the plot developed or lack of as the case may be. The author tried to rush the plot and cram as much as possible into a novella. I expected better from this author.

It was a cute fast read. Not something I'd necessarily remember for years to come and probably wouldn't think to recommend to my friends but I thought the story was cute.

First, I want to thank Josephine Templeton, GenZ Publishing and Xpresso Tours for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Joesphine Templeton had me cracking up laughing with the mixup of The Christmas Mistake!! That scene was just priceless! This book was such fun, sexy, shocking moments that you never imagined, that will get you in the holiday spirit.

This book is dedicated to Mike. Joesphine is so blessed with the life God has blessed upon them.

She is also thankful for Suni Nichols for being the first reader of this book.

Kudos to the graphic designer who created the front cover. It was so perfect to the storyline with the girl in front in the Santa outfit and holding presents.

There was a scene in the book that I totally didn’t expect to happen. I was totally shocked by it because it came so early in the book. It was a sex filled scene however I could not help stop laughing due to the circumstance of the situation. I wanted to smack this individual so bad!!!

I loved how this book goes from present day to 2005 where we learn more about how Carina (such a pretty and unique name) and Rad met. Plus, how that ties into the storyline today. It is a twist in the story that you didn’t see coming but will put a smile on your face and love in your heart.

This was such a cute and sweet Christmas read. I loved the way that Carina and Rad meet, and how their relationship develops. My only complaint was how long it took for them to get together, and how little of the couple we got to see, but overall, if you're looking for a short and sweet Christmas read this holiday season, I think this one will definitely do the trick.
