In Make Their Day, Karen Ehman presents creative ways to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others.
Some of my favorites were the book baskets, (which involve gathering things that were meaningful in a book to gift along with it, including baked goods and vintage stocking stuffers such as oranges), the sneak-a-snack stations, and the "carrot" strawberries. And I enjoyed the anecdotes of how the author saw the impact that kindness had on the people she and others reached out to.
This book would be a good resource for those looking for creative opportunities to be a blessing to someone. I now want to go bake a big batch of muffins to share. 😊

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley for review purposes. A positive review was not required.

A sweet simple book with lots of suggestions about how to show love to everyone in your life: Whether they're friends, neighbors, family or even strangers. The book itself is much like the point it makes. It only takes a short time to read through the ideas and it doesn't take long to make someone's day. I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. My opinion is entirely my own.

This book was received as an ARC from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I see on social media all the time, the impact small deeds have on an individual and how their day is brightened no matter what kind of deed it is. I love the ideas Karen Ehman had in this book especially the deeds titled “send an un-birthday gift.” Being a Disney fan, everyone has 365 un-birthdays and why not celebrate it for fun. I loved the idea so much that I am inspired to do a library program based on the concept alone (thank you Karen). This book really exemplified how good everyone feels after they do a good deed and they go way beyond, paying for the person behind you in the drive through line. I know this book will do very well in our library and I can’t wait to see how our community will receive it.

We will consider adding this title to our B Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Make Their Day by Karen Ehman is 101 different ways to love others well. And this book surely follows through.

Inspirational, I loved how Karen took every day ways to bless others. It was amazing how little simple ideas generated creativity. Some at low or no cost. Yet they significantly show love to your family, friends, neighbors, even strangers.

Although it is not a big book, it was a quick read, and a handy reference to check back for reinforcement. My favorite one was "Notice the necessary people". Karen shares about Mr. Brown Day, when her family honored their post man. It was touching how she looked beyond herself and into the face of others who serve us faithfully.

I think Make Their Day would be a great book to give to friends and relatives. After all we could all use 101 ways to bring joy to someone's day.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Net Galley and the publisher. All views expressed are my

Make Their Day is a great book to find an idea to do just that...makes someone's day. There are a lot of ideas in this book, however, I found that most of them aren't for me. Although, I did find quite a few new ideas to brighten someone's day. Overall, this book was well written and well organized, but for my personal use, it just didn't have enough new ideas. If you are not a very creative thinker and have a hard time thinking of things that you can do to bless others, then this book might be right up your alley.

In this book Karen Ehman gives some great, practical examples on how we can "love one another". I appreciate that she gave a variety of realistic examples for a diverse number of situations. I have tucked away a few ideas to use in the future and let the love of Christ shine through me as I put these into action.

Make Their Day outlines 55 ideas to make the people in your life feel special. The author presents different ideas for categories in your life: friends, family, coworkers.

This was a cute idea! I like the idea of celebrating the good things and good people in your life. Some ideas were religious, I liked them but if other people aren't into that sort of thing it wasn't too too much!

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a short and sweet book, good for if you are looking for some ideas on how to show a little love to others but want some slightly more creative or sentimental ideas. At the end the author even includes some printables to go with a few of the ideas. A good read for an afternoon.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bethany House Publishers for an e-ARC of this book.

I read this book and it has so many ways ideas I could take away and use on a daily basis. Karen gives practical ideas on how to focus on others and make them feel loved and appreciated. So often I think doing something for someone else has to take lots of time and effort but in reality I can do things that are easy, don't cost much if anything and really show someone else love. I would highly recommend this book.

I received a digital ARC of this book from the publisher as part of the book launch team. Gift Giving is my love language so joining this book launch was a no-brainer for me. Karen gives you 101 ways to bless others from simple to extravagant, from your friends and family to your neighbors and church members. Karen breaks up those 101 ideas into 8 categories and gives you ideas on how to make someone's day in that category. Karen even has recipes and gift tags included in the book that you can copy and put with the gift of choice. Not all gifts cost money, some are just giving of your time or talents. Most of these you can even do during our current pandemic. Who doesn't need a nice little surprise after the year we've had? I highly recommend buying this book! It's an easy read, and you don't even have to read the whole thing all at once, you can just have it as an idea book. Need an idea to bless a friend, go to that section. Need an idea to bless a neighbor, go to that section. What are you waiting for? Go "Make Their Day"!

What many of our friends and family need most right now is an extra dose of kindness. What the world needs is an extra dose of kindness. Have you ever had the urge to do something nice for someone, but didn’t know what to do? I’ve been there many times. Karen has come to our rescue and created a book full of incredible ideas for making people feel special. Ideas for those nearby, far away, and those we haven’t met yet.

I’ve found that looking outward and finding people to encourage has helped me out of some of my darkest days. Thank you, Karen, for a wonderful tool for the days ahead!
