I loved the first part of the book then I struggled with the rest. I'm trying to judge this book on what it's meant to be rather than what I wanted it to be. But it's hard. It's super high concept and meta. I get that but I didn't enjoy the journey passed the first section.

Overall, this book can be much shorter. It got its point across by the midway point. Everything else was just extra and meandering.

I loved the prose and the narration was really good. Looking forward to see what else comes from this author.

This 600-pager has been out since 2019 and has lots of helpful reviews. Since I can't add anything new to the mix, I'll just recommend it fantasy and scifi fans.
