This is a fantastic book which teaches children what Optometrists do and what will happen when they go for an eye test. The book has lovely illustrations, which are bright and colourful. The writing is very good and is educational, so it would be a good book for a school. Younger children will enjoy looking at the illustrations and older children will also enjoy the in-depth text which holds a lot of knowledge. I really enjoyed this book.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this text.

This book is full of bright, colorful illustrations that would be very appealing to a young child. It is a good book for elementary teachers to use for teaching careers, or for parents to use prior to a child’s first appointment with an optometrist. While the book is very informative and told in a fun narrative, a lot of the language is too advanced for young children. I worry children will lose interest with the difficult vocabulary.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.

The pictures in this book are bright and colourful. The text is quite in depth, but will be so helpful to kids who may feel anxiety about visiting an optometrist.

This was an interesting story that would be helpful to use before a child's first visit to the Optometrists. One critique I have is the descriptions come out as more of a data dump. It might be hard for a young child to follow all those steps and details. The illustrations were cute though with the more advanced subject, it seemed a mix match. The illustrations are more appropriate for a younger audience than the detailed subject matter.
