So much valuable information, history and recipes! My hands/fingers tend to swell in the winter (likely due to how much time I spend on the computer due to work), these recipes will come in handy.

One interesting book to read, full of informations I never bothered before. That eating correctly doesn't mean reducing your intake of food in harsh measure, and doable. It is all about ingredients and how to cook them, also when to eat them. You don't need to apply all and change drastically, but can be done in small steps. It's about your health, anyway. 

Included recipes to try, one package you won't miss!

So many recipes designed for children (and the whole family). This is an excellent way to change your family's style of eating into delicious, easy to prepare meals. Recommended.

The Anti-Inflammatory Family Cookbook has an excellent selection of family meals and does a great job of walking those who are new to the idea of eating for your body, and eating good food, really well. 

Overall, the recipes were easy to follow for the cooking savvy and tasted wonderful. I think this is also a great option if you are just looking for a good recipe book that has recipes that taste good - that was the overall effect. Very good, homemade food for everyone.

This was a very well written cookbook. I found the layout to flow well and the recipes were easy to understand and follow along to. I look forward to trying some of them out for my family.

I really enjoyed this cookbook the recipes are interesting and easy to prepare. I really liked it was geared towards family eating which I feel is a great benefit because it can be so hard to find recipes that fit everyone’s needs in a specialized cookbook.

I highly recommend it and I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

What a fantastic resource for families! Tasty, easy to understand recipes which appeal to a wide range of ages and different tastes. With two finicky eaters in my house, I can see a number of healthy choices which will appeal to all of us.

I'm interested in this book because it can help adults and children suffering from obesity, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, and high blood pressure. The recipes here are easy-to-use, it seems medically accurate, and it has child specific guidance for anti-inflammatory eating. I like to make Curcuma drink, and the effect is good to my body, so this is the book I enjoy. 

The recipes look tasty and straightforward to prepare. If you want to have a healthier lifestyle perhaps you want to gain more knowledge from this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to have read this book and review it for an honest opinion. I suffer from arthritis and this was a cookbook I was very interested in reading. I thouroughly enjoyed the chapters that explained inflammation and the roles that food play into it. I however do not feel that any recipe in the book is something that I would try personally.

If you aren't familiar with the subject matter this book has a lot of the science behind this diet. The cookbook itself doesn't have as many recipes as I had expected. The recipes look very family friendly, maybe just not particularly new or unique. This is a great book for someone just starting an anti-inflammatory diet and trying to feed the entire family one meal.

This title would be suitable for those living with chronic pain due to injuries, or from autoimmune diseases (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, lupus). 

It has been said that diet can play a role in pain relief, which stems from inflammation in the body. This book steers people to recipes loaded with food that are healthy, and help alleviate the inflammation. 

Check it out for yourself, or someone you care about with chronic pain .

The Anti-Inflammatory Family Cookbook is great for anyone that is trying to eat an anti-inflammatory diet or eat healthier. The beginning of the cookbook discusses the benefits of an anti-inflammatory diet and how to keep it. I found it interesting the discussion of what different chemicas are found in and what health concerns they are linked to.  All of the information at the first part of the book was very helpful and I learned some things I didn't know. The recipes list which dietary restrictions the recipe follows. There is a variety of recipes that are easy to make and good even for picky eaters.

This cookbook would be good for a beginner who is just beginning to try and cook in a healthy way. But, whoa, a lot of information is thrown at you at the beginning. The recipes are good but since I already cook 95% of our food from scratch with lots of fruits and veggies I really didn't anything new in this book.

This was a standard cookbook in that there were recipes, but a large portion of the book was dedicated to discussions of food, both trying to define anti-inflammatory foods and also detailing how to integrate new foods and recipes into your diet, and especially into your children’s diet. This book is heavily focused on family eating and convincing children to eat food. This part of the book was less applicable to me, but I still found it interesting and logical. Would the tips have worked on me as a child? Well, maybe some of them.

Maybe. But in the case of medical advancement in the fields of natural, ancient, and nutritional healing, our society’s advancement shows its incomparable worth.

The Anti-inflammatory Family Cookbook: The Kid-Friendly, Pediatrician-Approved Way to Transform Your Family’s Health, is a no brainer for parents and grandparents.

I wish I had the foresight to adhere to these simple tenants when I raised my children. I would have gifted them with a solid nutritional foundation and a much better chance at fending off the world’s woes.

Authors Stefania Patinella, Alexandra Romey, Hilary McClafferty, Jonathan Deutsch, and Marie Mascarenhas collaborated for this impactful presentation of the Anti-Inflammatory Way.

It seems like it would be common knowledge by this point that poor diet, lack of exercise, and lackadaisical lifestyles lead to unhealthy bodies unprepared to fend off preventable and yet inevitable diseases.
So too, do these qualified, deeply committed and community involved authors reiterate that daily reminder.

The Anti-Inflammatory Way outlined in this book within a cookbook helps negate these environmental temptations with whole, healthy doable recipes designed for families with children.

I became particularly interested in the anti-inflammatory lifestyle after becoming crippled in a car accident caused by a wayward teenage driver in 2001. I was in my late 30s, and my ability to re-learn how to walk, balance, and move through the day literally balanced on my ability to nourish my body in a way that would eliminate the most amount of sheer pain and potential mobility possible.

After understanding why placing importance on my body’s inward workings was so incredibly pivotal to my overall lifestyle, finding ways to include anti-inflammatory foods and recipes into my diet took center stage.

I personally recommend this book from experience with the debilitating enemy of inflammation following me daily for the remainder of my happy and healthy life.

I found this book to be both educational and interesting. I like the tables it gives for what foods and chemicals to avoid.

Anti-Inflammatory diets are all the rage and their goal is to lower inflammation within the body via one's diet. This type of diet can be helpful for many aliments. This cookbook focus on the use of this type of diet for the whole family. The authors spend the first third of the book going through what this is, the things to avoid and the things to add, as well as making this an entire family way of eating. One of the items I found helpful is the food pyramid on page 37ish. First pictures are very helpful but especially in this case since an anti-inflammatory food pyramid is a little different than the US government one. This diet really focuses on fruits & vegetables followed by herbs and spices. We so often forget how important spices are for our body and not just as a flavoring on our food. The other big difference with this pyramid it that it breaks out plant based sources of protein (i.e. tofu, beans, legumes) from the other sources of protein and carbs categories. It is important to do this because animal products should be minimized as part of this diet. 
After about 90 pages you get to the recipe section of the book. The nice thing that these authors have done is they put their spice blends and sauces as the first chapter. These items are used throughout the recipe bank so it is helpful to have seen them before looking at all the other items. So often these types of things are relegated to an appendix section meaning I see a recipe earlier on that I might like but I won't know until later if that sub recipe in it is something I can eat. Like I said earlier spices are an entire category in the anti-inflammatory food pyramid so it is nice that they take center stage. Some of the big spices in this diet are turmeric, cumin, and ginger. These spices might not be ones that the average American has in their cabinet but they should be. Besides adding that great color or hidden pop to your food, or spice to your Asian delicacies they are great for your body. 
Now since this is a family geared cookbook the recipes should be kid friendly. I think some of them hit the bill. We have scrambled eggs and muffins as well as chicken tenders and pizza. Now these are a little different than the standard recipes. Instead of oily breading on formed ground chicken these are piece of chicken breaded in a nut mixed from the first chapter. And the pizza will be different to. These are vegetable pita pizzas. Now that doesn't sounds too kid friendly but think of it this way, pitas aren't very big so each person gets their own and can put what they want on it. I think after a while of eating items like these your kids will actually learn to crave the fresh foods since the salt, fat, and sugar intakes have been lowered and the cravings for them have lessened. Now that is not to say that these item are not in here, they are, they are just different. The recipes focus on healthy fats, sugars from natural sources like maple syrup and fruit. There is an entire dessert chapter that I think everyone will love. The other unique thing about this book is that almost all recipes have a baby food blurb. This will tell you how you can turn this into food for your littlest ones or it might say that this one is not recommended. The nice things is it gives guidance.

A great kid focused cookbook that teaches parents about inflammatory foods and how to change your families diet for better health. The recipes are easy to follow and have great suggestions on how to get kids involved in healthy cooking.

To say I've been doing a little more cooking than normal during quarantine would be an understatement. This cookbook not only taught me some new recipes but how to cook healthier for my family. 
My daughter suffers from Hashimotos disease and I have been prone to inflammation as well, I've learned over the years what foods will contribute to inflammation but not so much how to cook a meal that helps in this area.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Adams Media to facilitate my review.

I've been looking for ways to incorporate more anti-inflammatory ingredients in our meals, and this cookbook did not disappoint. It explains what an anti-inflammatory diet is and who can benefit: great for those just starting out with this way of eating. There were not photos of every recipe, but the recipes aren't complicated enough to need them, in my opinion.

I found several recipes I'd like to try and recommend this cookbook
