First I want to say, this book is NOTHING like 50 Shades of Grey (even though the Author mentions it in the beginning herself) it is absolutely, positively SO MUCH BETER!!!! That being said let's back up and start from the beginning of book 2.... You must read book 1 before reading this book, which is book 2 in the follow me darkly series. Skye and Braden's relationship is absolute fire and gunpowder. It's like watching a standoff and you know something is going to happen and you are on the edge of your seat but you just don't quite know what that is. The entire time flipping through the pages frantically trying to discover just how much more of this Skye is actually going to be able to take. Braden is use to the spotlight, use to the control in relationships (which let's be honest they weren't real relationships) and he is use to always getting his way. Here comes Skye who also is always in control in situations, carries herself very well and is quite brilliant too. When their relationship ignites in book 1 it's a fiery passion that really set the book on fire. I could really see where you could get the comparison of this and 50 shades of grey with the domination/submissive traits but I also don't see the correlation because these characters have so much more depth to them. Skye and Braden are in love and this really takes Braden by surprise because he never really thought he was capable of loving anyone. You can really see this develop through this second book as well because his walls really start to get tore down by Skye piece by piece when she is hurting and she really needs him. His feelings truly start deepening and as a reader you can actually see and start feeling the same emotions that Braden is feeling right on that very page. Skye is having a hard time relinquishing that control she is use to having. She wants to know why Braden and Addison Ames (her ex boss) broke up those many years ago and she feels like Braden is hiding something. With this secret looming over their relationship she doesn't feel like she will ever truly get close to him. With her thrust in to the spotlight fame she has gained, plus her ex-boss Addison lurking in the shadows at every turn and Braden seeming like he is keeping secrets all the while demanding her to open up, you can see Skye loosing it piece by piece as the pages turn. I feel that we could have seen Braden open up a bit more and become more of a compassionate boyfriend through this book but when I think about it I feel Helen Hardt did an amazing job and portraying Braden because if you open him up too fast it seems unrealistic and if you do it too slow then it seems he doesn't care about Skye like he says he does. With this cliffhanger that we are left with at the end of the book I can't wait for the final book in this trilogy to release later on! I have so many questions and my anxiety will definitely get the best of me as I anxiously await the release of the 3rd and final book. This is a master piece of a trilogy, definitely a must buy and a must read (multiple times through I might add) and way better than any BDSM trilogy I have EVER read! This book deserves 5 stars and probably more if we were able to do that!! |
This is the 2nd book in this series and Braden and Skye’s story continues straight on from when #1 ended. Braden and Skye love each other, but he is becoming more controlling and demanding over her life, but he is not forthwith in sharing information about himself, which has her insecurities and trust issues increasing. This is a fast- paced story which is dark, intense, and with explosive chemistry, twists, emotions, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming tale. I look forward to the next book in this series and I recommend this authors’ work for all lovers of a dark and intriguing storyline. |

Woah. What a ride. I’m not sure how to give my review without revealing too much. I feel for Skye, I really do. While losing somethings and learning and gaining others her life is a hot mess right. Vague I know haha Follow Me Under started right where Follow Me Darkly left off and that is the best kind of beginning. It was so easy to dive straight back into Skye and Braden’s world. I still got the 50 Shades vibes but in a totally different way with this time; Darker perhaps? Can’t wait to see what happens and how it all goes down in the next instalment. |
Follow Me Darkly should definitely be read first. Can Skye move past her ex boss Addison and Braden relationship. I mean she has him now. But she is full of self doubt will that sabotage them. She’s trying to get her influencer job going. Yet she has Braden who wants control of it all. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. |
Follow Me Under picks up right where things left off with Braden and Skye, so Follow Me Darkly must be read first. The moment I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down. I got completely wrapped up in the story, the characters and well everything Braden Black. I wanted to know more about Braden, his secrets, his limits. While some questions were answered, some more came up! There is no denying that the chemistry between Braden and Skye is explosive. Seriously, these two will melt your kindles! I loved that we got to see more to Braden and all his fantasies and Skye exploring them and finding her limits with it all. Braden is all about trust and he wants complete trust from Skye, however, there are things he is hiding and I am DYING to know. Skye is struggling with her identity throughout this story, she is losing who she is as her relationship with Braden continues and she is experiencing a lot of changes in her life. While, people may not be experiencing the exact same issues as Skye, I think many can relate to it all on some level. I can’t wait to see where Skye and Braden’s relationship goes, what secrets the man is still hiding and I truly hope that Skye is able to find herself and become a stronger woman. If you’re looking for a steamy, erotic romance this series is one to check out! |
Follow Me under is book 2 in the Follow Me Trilogy, this is not a stand alone. I was very excited to read this book and see what comes next for Braeden and Skye. In book 2 are exploring their new love and testing the limits of their relationship. I am used to the second books in trilogies stirring up drama and setting up for the 3rd book. I found Follow Me Under very easy to dive into and read, the story moved along at a quick pace and I did not get bored while reading. I found the drama lacking in this book and I had a hard time liking most of the characters in the story. Braeden seemed to be playing at dominance, but was selfish and not aware of Skye’s needs throughout most of the book. I felt like he was punishing her form 60% of the book and refusing to give her rewards for good behavior, or notice her needs as you would expect from an attentive dominant. We get more insight into his preferences and there are some hot and heavy scenes. Skye’s behavior seemed immature it feels like she is in a mid life crisis at 24. She wants to find herself and be her own person and not defined by her boyfriend, but she only complains about it, I hope in book 3 she does something about it. While this does end on a cliffhanger, it was not the kind i was expecting. I am hoping that book 3 brings a satisfying conclusion in which both characters experience emotional growth and communicate more effectively. I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review. |

“I’ve become invisible.” Follow Me Under picks up immediately from the point Follow Me Darkly left off. It’s a fast-paced story that furthers Skye and Braden’s relationship and while I enjoyed this book, it didn’t grip me as much as the first one. Braden is still as mysterious as ever. He wants complete control of Skye yet he refuses to open up to her. He expects her to follow his commands without question and can be cruel at times. On the flip side, there are moments where he can be sweet, too. Skye is even more insecure in their relationship now that they’ve confessed their love. She seems to want to be with Braden while also resenting him. Honestly, Skye got on my nerves a bit in this book because I thought she was sometimes just being petty instead of really standing up for herself. She’s lost and doesn’t quite know how to find herself. Now there are a lot of steamy and dark moments in this book and they are hot. Skye and Braden can’t keep their hands off of each other and Helen Hardt excels at writing these scenes. All in all, this story has captured my attention and I am anticipating the third book. I need to know how the saga ends. |
Oh Skye, why can't you just accept the terms and move on?!?! I get it. The woman wants answers and is curious, afraid, excited and all of the above. She wants Braden, but she doesn't want to let go of control. But she needs to surrender her control so she could have Braden. And round and round we go. *sigh* Braden. I love him. I think he's being judged because he is direct and honest. He's a man of few words but what he says, he means. Why does Skye keep on pushing?! I don't get it. I think he's been honest with her and has been clear on what he needs and what he wants out of Skye, FROM THE START. IDK, I find her immature and selfish. But I'm also invested and seeing this "relationship" through 'til the end. Anyhow, I enjoyed Braden in this book very, very much and can't wait to read more about him. I don't really care about Skye much, but he does so I'll deal. All in all, a sizzling read with a dark, brooding male and an immature, selfish woman who hasn't learned to read the room. :) I received a copy of this title in exchange of my honest opinion. |

Follow Me Under picked up right where Follow Me Darkly ended. I was really curious as to how Braden and Skye love story would continue. There were tons of secrets between them. Not healthy at all for a relationship. Braden not being fully open with Skye lead her to be insecure even more. As Braden shows Skye more of the BDSM lifestyle, it looks like Skye is starting to become a different person. She had grow to lose who she once was. She was juggling a lot of things at once. I totally feel for her at times. There were tons of steamy scenes that Helen does not failed to show. Her writing continues to surprise me. Can't wait to see how everything unfolds for Braden and Skye. |
Skye Manning is a twenty-four year old photographer, whose recently stepped into the limelight as an influencer. Braden Black is an extremely successful self-made billionaire with deliciously dark, dominant needs. He's never wanted a relationship but finds himself willing to try after falling in love with Skye. These two met and fell in love in the previous book 'Follow Me Darkly.' This is their continued story as they navigate their new relationship and go deeper into their sexual fantasies. Taking them into bondage and the edgier side of BDSM eroticism. From the last book I thought Sky was smart, talented and a control freak. I loved that she stood up for herself and her needs even while giving up control in the bedroom to Barden. In this book, I saw less of that and more petty, self sabotaging, immaturity. She lies even after promising not to. There's a sense of high school drama and cattiness between her and her ex-boss and even some of her friends. She may trust Braden with her body but her mind is another matter. Skye seems to be spiraling out of control in the light of day and seeking deeper darker adventures at night. Helen Hardt creates a lush, sensual, decadent world, leaving us hanging on the edge. In saying that I really struggled with portions of the story outside their intimate moments. I found myself not liking Skye very much and flashbacks to elements 'Fifty Shades of Grey' I'd rather not repeat. This story includes BDSM scenes that may be difficult for some readers, read at your own discretion. I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/ |
Wow! I didn’t see that coming. I felt this book was more about Skye. How much she’s changing. At one point I wanted to scream at her to listen to herself. She’s put everything in one basket. She’s stopped including anyone, but him. Braden finally had a breakthrough, but is he willing to grow? I hope so. I think he thought he had all the answers, but sometimes he doesn’t want to listen. I wanted to yell at him that he isn’t the end all! Their relationship has me twisted up into knots.😉 I am sucked into their story. How are we going to fix this mess, Helen??? HOW??? I’m trusting you! I can’t wait for the conclusion! |
I am in awe with Follow Me Under. I love this story. Braden is a bit of a mystery, but we are getting to see each layer and Skye continues to break him down. Skye on the other hand is a complicated heroine of this story. I still have a love/hate relationship with her. I want to reach in the book some time and shake some sense into her. But I suppose Braden is leading her to find her true self. But she is a total mess. That is why I am anticipating the third book, Follow Me Always. Now I can’t say Braden isn’t complicated himself, but he has the control without letting his life spiraling. I love him and the way you can feel his presence with the author’s words. I will follow him any where ;) Follow Me Under is the next chapter in Skye’s and Braden’s life. In book one Skye gets some unsettling new about Braden. In book two, we find that Skye has a new obsession but will she take it too far? The ending will have you wishing there was just one more chapter! I definitely recommend this book series!!! |

More about Skye and Braden! Skye Manning is becoming an up and coming influencer after dating billionaire Braden Black but is dating him worth giving up the trust in her life? First off, you need to read Follow Me Darkly before reading Follow Me Under because they aren’t stand-alone books but there is so much emotion between Skye and Braden because he has never fallen in love before so his emotions are all new. But there are some answers in Follow Me Under but there are many questions to be answered in Follow Me Always. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |
After reading Follow Me Darkly, I’m sensing a little more self discovery despite her insecurities, and deeper yearnings within Skye in this book. I feel there are changes coming for her and Braden. I think her desires are darker and more intense that even she realizes are within her and they play a part in her insecurities as well. The relationship between Skye and Braden is evolving. I hope that there is more insight coming as to the secrets of his past. I also think Braden starts to see that Skye’s inner desires are coming to the surface and she’s wanting to delve deeper and darker than he’s willing to go. Perhaps he’s starting to sense more… I truly hope that’s yet to come in the next book, Follow Me Always, and I hope that Helen Hardt delves deeper into the layers of each character and while the steamy aspects of the story are enthralling, that she also goes into developing more depth into the plot as well. My curiosity is piqued and I highly anticipate what’s to come next! |
ARC received from Entangled Publishing. Voluntarily reviewing and all opinions are objective and my own. I enjoyed this one even more than the first! I feel there was a lot more development with the characters. Braden is still frustrating, now more than ever, but I didn’t dislike him how I did in book 1. He’s mysterious, but nor cruel, though I really don’t understand why he can’t discuss the past. I mean, there’s not wanting to talk about exes, and then there’s this. Can he blame her for needing something to go off of?! I’d be reacting like her I think, if I was kept in the dark too. I felt like Skye needed to make up her mind though. One second, it felt as if she was going to leave Braden, due to his secrecy, but then she’s all in again. Then, when he introduces her to his life, it seems to take her over. It’s hard, because I didn’t dislike it; it just doesn’t feel like Skye. Overall, very entertaining read though and I was hooked! I so look forward to the next one. I need to know Braden’s secret!!! |
I had pretty high hopes going into this book. I was excited to see where the story was going to go, but this one sort of flopped for me. I still don't like Braden and Skye is really starting to piss me off, for the lack of better words. But she is. I thought they might grow on me more with the second book but that's not the case. I was hoping for more progression with their relationship, but it felt stagnant and like we were running around in circles. Braden is very adamant about keeping secrets from Skye but expects her to trust him. One of the pillars of a BDSM relationship is communication, but there is zero communication between the two and so many secrets. Especially since they keep having the same fight over and over again. I had a tough time connecting with the both of them in this book and was just hoping for more. I didn't hate this book, by any means. I enjoyed reading it. A lot. I thought it was easy to read and follow along, it was easy to get caught up into what was going on but I’m just not sold on our two main characters, yet. I hope they somehow redeem themselves for me in the final book. I am excited to read book three and see how everything wraps up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. |
Follow Me Under picks up immediately right after the first book. Skye Manning is in love with Braden Black and everything is going well for her... until it's not. I love Helen Hardt's writing and I am still invested in Skye and Braden's story but this felt like a step back from Follow Me Darkly. Skye found sexual freedom in that book but she unintentionally loses herself and her identity while trying to appease Braden's darker nature in this installment. It was frustrating and really sad to watch the story unfold as this young woman who was relatively content with her life begin to doubt herself. This idea of trust between Skye and Braden was constantly mentioned time and time again but it felt very one-sided. Braden kept asking Skye to trust him but kept a part of himself from her. She was supposed to give up all of her control not only in the bedroom and outside of it but blindly trust him as well. This did not feel like a mutual trusting relationship to me. Braden continues to be extremely secretive and mysterious. At first, I was attracted to him because of it but it frustrated me over time. I begin to doubt their love as well. The sexual relationship between Braden and Skye is hotter than ever but it loses its magic as Skye begins to question herself and Braden starts to demand absolute control in all aspects of her life. In the end, even though Follow Me Under was not as compelling to me as the first book, I am still looking forward to reading the conclusion of Skye and Braden's story. The books ends in slight cliffhanger with their relationship in potential turmoil. Skye has becoming accepting of Braden's darker side and his preference for bondage but it comes at a cost. With her losing herself and potentially her best friend Tessa, Skye is about to lose her heart as well. I would recommend this series to those who love Fifty Shades of Gray. |
Braden Black never thought he would ever fall in love, but when Skye entered his life he was bowled over and an instant connection was made. But Braden has some secrets and demons from his past that he refuses to divulge. Can you really have a relationship with someone if you have more questions than answers? Can you lead with blind trust when every aspect of the relationship is about control and pushing the boundaries of forbidden ecstasy? Holy crap you will not be able to walk away from this book. Between the new levels of love and lust to the scenes that just leave you breathless this was a fabulous second book in the series. I will wait patiently with bated breath to get the conclusion of Skye and Braden's love story - but Ms. Hardt - please write quickly!! |
I absolutely love this series! Oh Braden Black, what a scrumptious man, he is one sexy mysterious billionaire who is so captivating. He has rules and he never breaks his rules until Skye Manning storms into his life. He loves this woman fiercely, but he also won't bend all his rules for her, there is a limit and she's reaching his limits. Skye Manning has ceded her control in the bedroom to Braden but she refuses to give him ultimate control of all of her but somehow it seems like she's still loosing herself, she's starting to not feel like herself, she's losing control and it's starting to affect her relationship with Braden. Will they be able to get past all their hurdles and make their love bloom! My god I am absolutely in love with this couple. Their chemistry is on point and I love how Braden is such a powerful, magnetic man who makes my insides melt! |
Follow Me Under is the second book in the Follow Me series and must be read in order. I loved this one. You see such changes in Skye as she evolves in her relationship with Braden. Braden still loves control and is still a bit of a mystery when it comes to past relationships. I for one as this series goes on can't wait to see all the layers that Braden has to offer. Skye finds a new voice that will make you smile a little as she tries to figure out who she is. This one left me in a bit of a hangover and I can't wait for more Skye and Braden to come. You need to get addicted to the Follow Me series today. |
