I really like the cover and the blurb seemed interesting. The story starts on an intriguing note and it kept me interested for time. But then it began to get monotonous and too descriptive, too much telling than showing. I didn't feel any connect with the characters and the dialogues are not very interesting. Disappointed.

Vaughn Matthews spent 8 years in witness protection, after being an eyewitness to a brutal murder. The man has since died and now she's ready to start living her life again.

But then she starts receiving notes saying very simply .. I found you. Gifts of flowers and candy shows up on her doorstep.

Private Investigator, ex- Detective, Tony Lombardo, is her neighbor. He's been checked out by the Federal Marshals, so she knows he's considered safe. That's a good thing because there is a mutual attraction .. if only she's not afraid to take that first step.

Lombardo doesn't want to push her, but he knows nothing of her past. He knows she is afraid of something, but he's not sure of how much danger she's in ... if she's in any danger at all.

Suspense starts on the first page and holds steady until the very end. The characters are extremely likeable and I like how Lombardo relates to his family .. and to Vaughn. There are very graphic intimate moments that may not be to everyone's liking.

Many thanks to the author / Wild Rose Press / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Romantic Suspense. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
