this was a interesting read, the characters were interesting. My one complaint is that it needed a little more polish.

Regrettably, I cannot give Spychip Armageddon a positive review. Usually I like to support new authors as they debut their novels, but the writing here is amateurish and overly descriptive. The author writes about an eerily silent dining room, and then names all of the noises that can be heard. He tells us the lineage of the coffee served and the unnecessary details on the desert. We see brown lawns and crumbling streets in situations where those facts are worthless. Then there is the story itself. It just didn't work for me.
Finally, the author has one affectation that repeatedly annoyed me. Words with two l's, such as bell, were consistently shortened to one l. This happened repeatedly and I was repeatedly annoyed.
Thanks, NetGalley for the ARC.
