Starts with a background on SPAM and what it takes like and such. Then the book is broken down into sections on cooking with SPAM, like breakfast, appetizers, lunch, and dinner. Wow, there are a lot of ways to use SPAM. There are even recipes for putting it in sushi! and one for SPAM fries! I'm really hungry now and need to go eat something. Too bad I don't have any SPAM. But really, this is a nice cookbook, and each recipe has a photo and simple instructions to make it. Looks legitimately easy to make some delicious meals with SPAM. I'm going to add it to the grocery list because I want to try out some of these recipes!

This book committed a miracle; it made me want to eat spam! To be honest I read this book just because I was curious but came away both impressed and hungry. While the writing is great the book is made even better by the wonderful and bright photos and use of color. People should give this book a shot. I think they will be just as pleasantly surprised as I was.

This book has a lot of pictures. Which is a big plus for me. Lots of interesting recipes and will use some over the holidays. Loved the SPAM Baked French Toast, easy to make and delish. SPAM Pizza Rolls were a favorite with the boys. SPAM Fried Nice was a nice lunch. Easy SPAM Pho was a big hit too. If you like SPAM, this is for you

I'm ready to try some recipes in this book!

It's been years since I've eaten spam, but I have fond memories of my older brother making us spam sandwiches. Which was probably about the only edible thing he could cook haha. This book had some great recipes in it and I plan on buying a copy as a gift for my brother, since he's still a spam lover.

In the UK a tin of SPAM has become a bit of a joke. It’s the one thing you can always find at the back of a cupboard because no one eats the stuff. It’s probably because as kids growing up in the 70’s we were force fed spam sandwiches. Grandma’s up and down the country thought they were giving us something special. A treat. Only for us kids to hide it in pockets and shoes.
Hats off to the author of this new cookbook. I’ve just put a couple of tins of the stuff on my shopping order. The recipes look so good I want to give it another try. Perhaps cooking up some of these delicious looking recipes I can discover a new appreciation of the product.
Beware family and friends. Future gifts from me will be a copy of this book and a tin of Spam.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC

The Ultimate Spam Cookbook is just that - an abundance of ways to enjoy that "gelatinous cuboid of meat in a can" There's some history of SPAM including the author's own experiences and dreams of SPAM. There's mention of the SPAM festivals and the number of different ways SPAM is celebrated internationally. Did you know that Hawaii eats more SPAM than any other state? There's also a SPAM museum. And we're given the ingredients and preparation of SPAM at the factory. There are recipes for every meal. Some to try would be SPAM Breakfast Burrito, SPAM Waffle with Cheese, SPAMalicious Jalapeno Cheddar Bisccuits, SPAM Pizza Rolls, SPAM Kimchi Fried Rice Musubi and SPAM Tater Tot Casserole.

Lots of ways to prepare your favorite canned meat. Give this to your favorite chef and enjoy!

What a perfect book for the Spam Enthusiasts! The amount of pictures for each recipe are great, and the a variety of recipes are pretty fascinating. I thought I had experienced spam to the utmost, but looking through this book there is an astounding amount of creativity that I wouldn’t have thought up of. We thought we were done with our usage of spam but looking through this book I’ve found some new meals I’d like to create. We make musobi already—but The book includes some ways such as adobo musobi that I have not tried.

Another thing I enjoyed was how some of the creations have a small snippet of a story and background.

I would recommend this book in print form. I would gift this book to the spam crazed man I call my husband.

Netgalley gave me a complimentary digital review copy of this book for the purpose of giving my honest opinion.

I really thought that I had used Spam in many creative ways over the years. Fried rice? Of course! Toasted Spam and cheese sandwiches? Yes! Mac ‘n Cheese with Spam and peas? It’s a no-brainer! But The Ultimate Spam Cookbook has provided me with so many fresh ideas for my favorite canned meat. (Sorry, deviled ham and tuna. You’re also-rans in my taste buds’ book.)

With Spam burritos, ramen and even monkey bread, The Ultimate Spam Cookbook goes there. I’m not sure if I’m ready to try Spam Pasta Nachos or Spam PB&J but know there are a bunch of innovative recipes here that you won’t find on the All Recipes or Food Network sites. I was also surprised that Hormel makes a Spam Chorizo and a Spam Teriyaki.

With a recipe for every taste bud, you can’t miss with this cookbook. It even has pictures of each recipe. It doesn’t have nutritional information. But you’re eating Spam so you probably don’t care. 5 stars and I’m off to make the Spam Hawaiian Skillet because I luckily have the ingredients in my pantry already. Yum!

Thanks to Fox Chapel Publishing and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

When life for the entire universe and planet turns on its end and like everyone else you "have nothing to do" while your place of work is once again closed and you are continuing to be in #COVID19 #socialisolation as the #secondwave is upon us, superspeed readers like me can read 300+ pages/hour, so yes, I have read the book … and many more today.

I requested and received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review.

From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.

In 1937, the first can of SPAM® came off the production line. Since then, it has won the hearts of soldiers, celebrities, chefs, presidents, kids, and parents – and is now sold in 44 countries around the world. Finally, the official SPAM® Cookbook is here, filled with more than 100 unique and elevated recipes for breakfast, appetizers, main courses, and snacks, all starring this key ingredient. From teriyaki fried rice and jalapeno cheddar biscuits to a cheese macaroni bake and carbonara, each recipe is easy, quick, and delicious. A cookbook that presents the little blue can in a whole new light, these flavorful SPAM® recipes are sure to keep an 80-year-old kitchen tradition alive and well, and better than ever before!

I cannot eat SPAM® as I am allergic to ham but my hubby loves it and when he has SPAM® I usually have canned corned beef -- I am 1000000% sure that I can make every single one of these recipes with my choice as well. SPAM® has a bad rap as it also refers to junk email...and a lot of people know spam but not SPAM®. (Time for a quick lesson about why junk email is called spam... The term spam is derived from the 1970 Spam sketch of the BBC comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus. The sketch is set in a cafe where nearly every item on the menu includes Spam canned luncheon meat....and I love that sketch!)

Don't turn your nose up at this book - as we go into the second wave of lockdown now in December of 2020, keep in mind that SPAM® will keep on your shelf a long, long time and not take up freezer space as frozen meat does... SPAM® is quick, tasty (so I have heard) and these recipes elevate it to the nth degree. Hubby loves mac and cheese, so I imagine that he will love it as I cook my way through this book for him. The recipes are easily understood by cooks of all levels --- college students for one could benefit from it if their cooking skills are not very good AND it is cheaper than ordering pizza and whatnot. Heck, with some ingenuity one could make spam-sushi!

If you love your meat in a can
Wonderfully tasty - they call it SPAM®
Cook it up if that's your jam.
Oh wonderful, wonderful SPAM®

As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I simply adore emojis (outside of their incessant use by "🙏-ed Social Influencer Millennials/#BachelorNation survivors/Tik-Tok and YouTube Millionaires/snowflakes / literally-like-overusers etc. " on Instagram and Twitter... Get a real job, people!) so let's give it 🍲🍲🍲🍲

Spam is a time honored tradition. This cookbook is great because it includes the Hawaiian recipes I see floating around with this ingredient. I really look forward to making the spam sushi. It looks really yummy! Who knew there were so many options with spam?!?
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this free digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve never tried spam in my 32 years, always seen it and wondered what it tasted like and if I’d like it so this cookbook looked interesting. Lots of home comfort dishes and some you wouldn’t expect from a canned meat cookbook. It’s inspired me to actually try spam and some of these delicious looking meals.

Thanks to Fox Chapel and NetGalley for the advanced copy
