I literally listened to this entire audiobook in one day because I was so obsessed and couldn't put it down. This is a marriage in trouble romance and I have been looking forward to this ever since we met Aiden in the first book. This family is my absolute favorite and I cannot get enough of their family moments. They all end up going on vacation together and every moment they have together is just the best. I'm obsessed with them and hope we get a book for all of the siblings!

As for the romance, I loved it. We come into the story when Freya and Aiden are already at a rocky point in their relationship that has to do with them having kids. They decide to go to a counselor and I loved how they had honest conversations with each other. They both are holding back some insecurities, which they eventually share by the end, but having open communication is important to them working through their problems. And I loved how completely attracted they were to one another and how annoyed they get with themselves for wanting to be physical when they're so frustrated with one another. While they had serious issues to work through, it was so cute how things about each other still made them attracted even after ten years of marriage.

Freya is a curvy heroine and I loved her relationship with her body. She isn't ashamed of her curves, but she does have moments of doubt, which were realistic and not too negative or overbearing. Aiden also has anxiety and, while I do not have anxiety myself, I loved the discussions surrounding his anxiety and how he had to work to finally let Freya in about what he was going through.

If you can't tell, this book was perfect. I loved everything about it and am already dying for the next book!!

Trigger Warnings: Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Generalised Anxiety Disorder

With every book I read from Chloe Liese; I find myself falling a little more in love with her, not just her talent and her writing but her as a human being.

Why you ask? Her first Bergman Novel, that I found accidentally on Netgalley opened my eyes to reading romances that are diverse, could be considered non - conventional but are yet the most realistic representations of love I have had the fortune of reading.

In Ever After Always, Chloe Liese picks up where most romances drop off - the happily ever after - and while most of us would want to believe that everything will always be hunky dory after driving off in the sunset, that is not how real life works.

Weddings are oh so fun and adventurous; but marriage? Marriage is hard work - with a lot of compromises, frustrations and growing up together that somehow is always; and I do mean, always overshadowed by the fun and galore of weddings.

Marriage and weddings are two entirely two different aspects and I truly wish that more people talked about it, especially in romances.

With Ever After Always; Chloe Liese delves into the happily ever after of Freya, the eldest Bergman and her husband of ten years, Aiden. With time, and a decision to move forward in their relationship, thinking about a baby; a gift takes place and somehow over the course of just six months, we see a complete breakdown of communications in their relationship.

With the pressure of outward appearances; and an ever loving, bonkers interfering family, Freya and Aiden try and find their way back to each other; because that’s what they want. Their love hasn’t disappeared; the passion for each other still simmers underneath yet somehow they both let the important aspect of just communicating with each other slide by them.

As a married woman myself, the issues discussed in this book feel as if that the author took a look into my heart, mind and soul - and it is bonkers that these issues aren’t talked about more, especially when they must be all too common.

I have always said, Chloe Liese writes realistic and relatable romances and Ever After Always is another way she just proves me right. Again.

This is the third in a series but can be read as a stand alone. Chloe Liese writes such great, quirky romance novels, with strong female characters and this book represented anxiety and body image issues so well. I’m totally committed to reading about the entire Bergman family and enjoyed this marriage in crisis take on a romance novel. I wanted Freya and Aiden to be happy and learn to communicate better! Instead they’re whisked off to her parents anniversary trip and have to watch their happiness in a beautiful tropical paradise. Loved the playlist that this comes with! Thank you to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As usual, Chloe Liese wrote an emotional, fun, hot and touching slow-burn romance. It was a great read with developed characters, and a different take on the second chance trope, since this couple was already married. Can't wait for the next one.

Just when I think I can’t love this series anymore than I already Chloe Liese does it again. Ever After Always is my FAVOURITE! Such beautiful, emotional words. I definitely had tears in my eyes more than once feeling all the things for this couple! There is something so raw, and REAL reading a romance novel about a married couple finding their way back to each other after hitting a rough patch. AND if you have read any other the previous novels in this series you know you will be guaranteed a laugh or two with the Bergman brothers and family butting into their business in their annoying but loving way.

Chloe Liese is a truly talented author, her writing is unique and fresh and addicting and her characters are so beautifully flawed you cannot help fall for them.

With Ever After Always, I loved the vulnerability of these characters as they reconnect and find each other again.

Looking forward to Rooney and Axel’s story next!

Chloe Liese has delivered yet another master piece. These books are truly something I never knew I needed in my life. But know I cannot imagine not having read them.

Freya, Aiden and the cast of characters that support them are truly something. They are rea and raw. They are messy and beautiful. And show off the real human condition. Liese does not hold back anything from these characters. This book I specifically loved because I saw myself in Aiden's anxiety. I love how this story focused on how mental health affects a relationship. I love how Liese weaves in so many wise words. I love how this story showcases how relationships require work to be truly meaningful and meant to last. How communication and growth are essential.

Al around this book was just lovely. It was a romance with an extra touch that I truly enjoyed. It is one I will not soon forget, just like the other two. Though it can be a stand alone, I don't know why you wouldn't pick up the others while you are at it.

I cannot wait for the next one. Highly recommend.

Full disclosure: I am not a fan of "save the marriage" type romance novels.

But there is always an exception, and this book is it. I loved Aiden and Freya, I loved the family dynamic. The week I was reading this book, I was diagnosed with GAD, and while mine is not as severe as Aiden's, it was so amazing to read a character dealing with what I have been dealing with for years. The cameo's from the Bergman bunch were amazing. and I adore this family. I cannot wait for the next book. I will read anything Chloe Liese writes. She approaches all her characters with such grace and humour. Her stories are not only funny and romantic, they are respectful and so real. If I could give this book 10 stars I would

I recieved an earc of Ever After Always by Chloe Liese via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This has in no way influenced my thoughts and feelings about the book.

Last year I read the first two books in this series and absolutely adored them, so when I read the synopsis and heard who this one was about, I was super excited. I don’t read many books about married couples, so this was a new experience for me and I loved it.

Ever After Always follows Aiden and Freya, who have loved each other for over 10 years, but now their marriage is in crisis. And now they both have to overcome fears, dream and the thought of failure. As Freya parents marriage anniversary is coming up, they have to put aside their differences and difficulties and put on a brave face. And it’s hard for both of them, but as they start to be together more, they start to understand each other again.
I adored both Freya and Aiden. I loved that we got to see a Bergman sister, it was a different vibe than the previous books, but it worked so well. While the reader sees them both go through some hard times, they also get to see them fall in love once again and that was beautiful.

One of my favourite things about this series is the way that it explores disability and illness. Each book has explored something extremely well. It has not only been presented in such a fantastic way, but it also isn’t riddled down to stereotypes. Ever After Always explored anxiety, the pressure of having children and more. I loved how Chloe Liese explored Aiden’s anxiety and how it affected multiple parts of his life. I love how it wasn’t fixed right away, how being with Freya wasn’t the cure. But how they both could work together, as well as Aiden helping himself, to overcome and prevail.

Overall, I adored this book and this series. If you haven’t picked it up, please do. You may cry and want to hold onto something right, but they are all unique and just fantastic reads. I can’t wait to read more books in the series.

This is hands down one of my favourite modern family sagas! I love checking in with the whole family in each book but getting to find out more about them as individuals each time. This book in particular was so interesting because it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, i think it will be a relatable read for many

I received this book from NetGalley as an eARC in exchange for a review.

This book follow Freya and Aiden as they try to repair their failing marriage. Unfortunately I DNF'd this at 25 % because it gave me severe anxiety dealing with the relationship stresses. To be fair, the book has a trigger warning at the starting but I didn't realize how triggering the story actually would be. It was well written and very believable, I just couldn't handle it.

Chloe Liese did it again! This one was definitely not my favorite in the series, but it was still really good! Freya and Aiden are having marital problems and it literally takes the whole family to test the waters and see if they can make it back to each other in one piece. Aiden has high anxiety, which really came out of the pages well, and really made me think about my own anxiety and how to work through it.

Received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! (‘Cos you know, *shrugs and gives a nonchalant look* I’m on her ARC-team.) *FREAKS OUT ‘COS SHE’S ON ONE OF HER FAVOURITE AUTHOR’S ARC-TEAM*

Every After Always is a book I’ve been postponing reviewing simply because it was such an emotional read and I’m not sure if I can express well enough in words what it meant to me.

When Chloe Liese spoke about her next release I was truly surprised it was Freya and Aiden. I mean… they’d always had a happy love-filled marriage.. so why? I mean, I see Axel and I see a possibility there and that’s what I thought was coming next so… what’s happening? Then I remembered that small moment of foreshadowing in the previous book…But it was only when I read the synopsis, that I knew this book was going to break me.

I was so right. The level of rightness was so high, I think I may be Nostredame reborn. This book was about anxiety, marriage, what love means… It was about something falling apart because it was trying to be fixed the wrong way.. it was.. God it was so relatable.

Aiden was a character that felt so real. Chloe has brought her hero to life so well, simply because she focused on the absolute little things that anxiety can create in someone’s personality. For example, being jumpy. I never used to startle until before I got anxiety. Now.. now I can startle sometimes like this *snaps a finger*. The adrenaline rush, that urge to just find out what it is that’s bothering us just so we can maybe fix it, that never ending focus to keep yourself stable every moment of every day and that undeniable exhaustion from the effort of it all. Aiden was just… this whole BOOK was just so well done for me.

I weeped through most of it. It was so close to home for me and perhaps for some people it may seem strange that Aiden startles so much, or that he’s always got a rush of adrenaline and fear spearing through him or how it can affect something linked to it. But it was all real. It exists. I’ve felt it, dealt with it and it’s no tale. It’s as real as these words.

Now Freya too, was incredibly relatable. She was that emotionally intelligent person that can sometimes metaphorically asphyxiate themselves to take care of another. I mean, who hasn’t done this for someone they love? She’s also the kind of person who’s so used to taking care of others, she’s forgotten how to ask for help. (Enter a very meddlesome family hahahahahah).

This book addressed several billion things that I was shook with the range of issues that Chloe managed to introduce without seeming to handle too many things or without it feeling like it wasn’t handled well or was removing the reader from the main plot. It was a reflection of reality. How we all face more than one struggle at a time. She spoke about the idea of body positivity in a way that was so refreshing, relatable and perhaps something people need to start being watchful of as well. She spoke about disability, marital issues, NORMALIZING MEN READING ROMANCE HELLOANDTHANKYOU, the mental and emotional experiences preluding the choice of wanting to have a child.

God, I’ve probably missed many many more, but Chloe hasn’t. She’s got them all there and she’s got them there well. Loved it loved it loved it. Five HUNDRED stars.

God I can’t wait for Axel. Chloe, you finished with Ax? ❤

Ooooo the Bergman family strikes again. This is yet another great story that bites to the heart. The story about pain, loss, love, and gain. The story about finding love again. The story is a real insight into marriage life and what happens if we don't invest in it. It is so different from a typical love story but that makes it even better. We got very likable and strong characters. Both Fraya and Aiden are easy to love and to keep cheering for them to make it. I loved how it all turns off for them even if they had a rocky path but as we know without rain there wouldn't be a rainbow.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

I absolutely adored this book so much , a romance about a married couple, it’s so well done, not the initial first spurts of love , but the harder work of reality and marriage. I was so impressed with the authors portrayal of anxiety, suffering from it myself it’s good to see it represented accurately and dealt with sensitively. This story shows the true power of love, communication, forgiveness and hope.
Fantastic

Chloe Liese is romance's answer to the future of the genre. Her character development and writing of family is fantastic and real. Readers have a new author to follow. I will read everything she writes!

This is my first book by this author and it won't be the last! I know some people have different ideas about what a "real romance novel" should be. However, getting stuck in these ruts is how we miss gems like this book.

This book is real, gritty and sometimes you might need to take a deep breath or two, but it's worth it to stick around.

Romance books about married couples are hard to pull off because a lot of readers want to focus on that first hit of love and lust chemicals. But is there anything more romantic than fighting for the one you love? To not give up when life gets in the way?

The hero's struggle with anxiety was portrayed in a realistic, sensitive way and the couple's interactions were raw and honest.

This story is told from the perspective of a tight-knit family (and how these marriage issues affect all the members of the family... We don't live in a bubble after all). The beauty and strength of this book is that it will remind you of the true power of understanding, forgiveness, and true love.

Ever After Always by Chloe Liese

This is the third in the Bergman series featuring older sister Freya, her husband Aidan and their marriage in crisis. This one was a highly emotional read with strong characters ARCs for both, particularly Aiden. It did an excellent job highlighting the highs and lows of long term marriage while also touching on anxiety disorder. Despite the tough subject matter, the humour remained throughout. It was also touching to get glimpses of the other family members! If you’re looking for an emotional second chance romance, I highly recommend this one!

Thank you to Chloe and Netgalley for this ARC 💓

I adore married romance and this one was a perfect example of why. There was so much tension at times that I was almost scared to start reading again, but I knew it would end up happily because...............ROMANCE. I want more, more, more of the Bergman family!

I love the Bergman family! It was so great to see how my favorite couples again (I can't choose who I like better as a couple!)
This book had some tough trigger warnings for me (you're warned about these before you start the book). I think they were handled really well!

The novel handles the trope (if you can call it that bc their are so few books with this subject matter) of marriage-in-crisis. I found the actual crisis time period of the book to be really stressful. I know it will end in a HEA, but I was really stressed! It took me a while to get through the first half of the book because of this. I honestly think it has more to do with me and the time period of the world, more than the book.

I also got to learn more about the Bergman family in this novel. It all just made me more excited for all of the siblings books! Also, should we all ask the author for a book featuring the love story of the Bergman parents??

Overall this one ranked between a 3.75-4 ⭐!
Steam level 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thank you to Chloe Liese for the advanced copy of this book!
