I do think this book lived up to the hype! Romance novels are still not my genre, but I had to find out what all the fuss was about. I adored the characters - they are well-rounded and surprising. I felt that the tension broke just a little too early for me; this is not exactly a "slow burn" book. I may or may not continue reading the other sisters' tales, but the author is definitely deserving of her popularity!

I loved this book!! It was fun and sexy. The banter between the main characters was great and well written.

I have seen such great reviews on how funny this book was and was a little nervous it wouldn’t live up to the hype. No worries needed. This story is funny as long as you are not easily offended. It is full of dry humor and witty comments back and forth between Chloe and others.
The main character Chloe is the most awkward person is an understatement. She finally moves out of the family home and starts to try to “live” her life in her thirties. She has been eyeing the neighbor for a while but was prompted to talk to Red until she tries to rescue a cat from a tree. The relationship between them is hilarious. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Thank you Netgalley and Avon books for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thirty one year old Chloe Brown, web designer, was almost hit by a car on her daily walk. She suddenly realized that because of her fibromyalgia chronic pain, she had stopped doing most things. So she made a list and started with moving into her own apartment .
Redford Morgan, tattooed, red headed artist and temporary superintendent of the building that Chloe moved into, was also redefining his life.
As circumstances bring them together, Chloe decides to ask Red to help her with some of her list and in return she would design a web page to showcase his art.
A surprisingly delightful, feel good and steamy rom-com with engaging characters and snappy dialogue, but it also delves into serious aspects of their lives that they need to come to terms with.
Thank you Harper Collins and NetGalley for this e-copy of " Get a Life, Chloe Brown".

Get a life is the main theme of this story about a Chloe who has many issues but one of the most interesting is the chronic pain element. I would imagine this spot lights a health issue that doesn't often come up in current romantic stories. The idea that non traditional romantic comedy characters can live their best life and find happiness is a definite positive but I sometimes also got bogged down with the pain descriptions and her management of those issues. It is a very fine balancing act to get the health issues accurately portrayed but not
let them take over the story. The dialog was very well done, which is always one of the great part of stories set in Great Britain. An enjoyable read of nontraditional characters finding someone to enhance their own life.

This was a bit of a predictable book, but I really enjoyed the characters. Red was so good, he really warmed his way into your heart. Chole was such a strong character despite what she dealt with health wise on a daily basis. I think this book was a bit of a love story for those suffering from fibromyalgia. This is a sweet, easy to read love story. I think that I will probably pick up Chole's sisters books to finish out the series.

Thank you to William Morrow and NetGalley for this copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Chloe got the raw end of the stick in life.
She’s in constant pain from all her medical ailments.
She’s kind of an odd ball.
She’s had some emotional baggage but she’s determined to “get a life”.
She makes a list.
Insert the gorgeous neighbor, the superintendent of the building they both live in.
Red, a painter, has issues as well.
They trade favors - he will help her do things and she will make his website.
What they don’t plan on is love!

Chloe Brown is living on her own for the first time. She suffers from chronic pain after an accident many years before. In Chloe's experience people never stick around when the going gets tough so she doesn't really make an effort to get to know people.

Red Morgan is recovering from a broken heart after dating a heartless gaslighter. He is the superintendent of the apartment building Chloe where Chloe lives. None of his interactions with Chloe have been positive but he still finds her very attractive in a standoffish kind of way.

One day Red rescues Chloe after she climbs into a tree to rescue a cat. Neither can deny the attraction they feel but can that attraction overcome all of the emotional baggage that they each carry.

Though the plot is good I found the dialogue between the two characters to be childish even as they explored their feelings for each other and about their past hurts. I don't really understand why so many people raved about this book.

🎉 Book Review 🍻
📖: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ I loved Chloe! She is a great balance of peculiar, nerdy, naive, and witty, despite being chronically ill. She makes a list of seven tasks she believes will help her “get a life” once she checks them off with one of her many fancy pens. Along the way, she decides that accomplishing these tasks will require help from her apartment complex’s sexy superintendent, Red. The story that follows is emotional and funny, filled with excellent banter that will keep you laughing out loud. Thank you @bookclubgirl for this Free Friday read!
🍺: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ I was hoping to pair this book with a Cherry Sour ale in honor of the nightclub scene, but instead, I’m going with Cranberry Ginger Fizz, in honor of Red, the delicious ginger who steals Chloe’s heart! Thank you @talkbooknerdytome for sharing this delicious brew!

I enjoyed the relationship between Chloe and Red but the writing to me seems like two different authors. Their relationship and interactions were so nice to follow but then the intimate scenes so completely opposite of that. I’d say 3.5 stars really as I did enjoy it and was invested in the outcome.

I typically don't read romances but every once in a while, I need a break from the thrillers I usually read and I got this book for free via NetGalley, so I thought I would try it. Chloe, Red, Gigi, and the sisters were all quirky characters. I like quirky so I was drawn in immediately. I also don't know anyone with fibromyalgia so I was also drawn in to learning about the daily life of someone with this affliction. Those were all good things. After that, I would say the story left a little to be desired. I am all for a plot of "will they, won't they". Isn't that what the Ross and Rachel storyline was about for much of Friends? But truly, after only about a third of the book, it was pretty obvious where it was going and with each page that went by, I said "please, just shag and get it over with". I did like a lot of the author's descriptions of things. I would say she has a good ability to depict mind-blowing moments with flowery language and I liked that. I might be persuaded to give the story 4 stars but for the crude language that was sprinkled throughout. I am not a prude and can handle sexual language but you can use words that are not as base as some of them used in this book. In the end, they got together and I am all for a happy ending.

This book was a fun, easy, read and I really enjoyed it. Now I want to read the whole Brown sisters trilogy!

This book was fun to follow. I enjoyed having seemingly real lead characters working through things that are real life issues. It gave the book an extra layer to have these issues talked about.

This is a steamy romance that I really enjoyed reading. The title character, Chloe Brown, is a strong, quirky female with a supportive family and her artistic love interest, Redford Morgan, is very likeable. Neither is perfect, but they are perfect for each other. If you like to read love stories, you will enjoy this book!

This book started out as a charming. witty story about Chloe and Red and their attraction to each other. The fact that Chloe had fibromyalgia added an interesting element to the story. But, when the streamy sexual encounters between these two charcters took over the story became one dimensional. The final argument between Chloe and Red seemed contrived and blown out of proportion.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were fun, while still flawed. Red was my favorite and was perfect for Chloe!

Cute story. Chloe Badass Sophia Brown and Redford Morgan are tenant and Building Superintendent who dislike each other or so each one believes of the other. She is a web designer and he is an artist/painter who has had a rough time with his career and past relationship. Both are secretly watching and desiring the other. The two finally figure it out, but of course old hurts and baggage surfaces and turns a good situation bad, but who will give in first and fight for the other.

This is a great steamy romantic comedy! I loved the characters and they both show personal growth throughout the story, which I loved.

I enjoyed this book though found the beginning to be wordier than needed. The excess adjectives actually took me out of the story versus painting a picture. I could relate to the main characters condition end enjoyed her “journey” to more independence.
