This book was received as an ARC from Llewellyn Publications in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book is another perspective on how the Mind and Body can improve your life and this time it is focused on your skin looking and feeling beautiful. Dr. Debbie Palmer does a great job breaking down how each method is better for which skin ailment and the proper way to apply topically to skin. She includes everything from Essential Oils, Crystals, Reilki, Yoga, and a Mediterranean inspired diet which just simply entails eating whole food and cutting out sugar and processed foods. There are so many tips and tricks Dr. Debbie Palmer shares that I might apply for myself since I have always had sensitive skin and my diet can use a makeover too because who doesn't want to feel their best.

We will consider adding this title to our R Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

I was looking forward to the beauty and skin aspects of this book by a holistic dermatologist, but it's mostly just basic (good) health advice. Eat a Mediterranean diet, exercise, get enough sleep, take care of yourself, stay out of the sun and use a ton of sunscreen. The actual bits about skin were just a few pages and nothing you can't get off the net. There was one page of oils that are nice for scalp massage and how they help the hair, but for the most part it's just very good advice on how to live a healthy life. And yes, beauty does come from health and from inside, but I was hoping for a bit more on the actual outside part. It's still a great book, especially for those who don't know about the importance of these parts of health, but it was just okay for me as I already know all of this.

I read a digital ARC of this book for review.

Great book, so interesting. It’s full of really useful information and would be great as a book on the shelf to reference to when you needed it, especially with things like reiki and yoga.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

How frustrating is it to be told by all the different sources the things you must do to be successful in life? This book definitely does NOT do that. It instead takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
