Ehhh... I liked reading about the time period and cultures. I didn't hate Marcellus, but I hated pretty much everyone else. 

Any time that I read a book which contains characters that make me mad because of the idiocy of their behaviour, I'm gonna probably drop a star. There were so many stupid things that happened in this book that pissed me off, stupid decisions, and stupid people not seeing obvious things.

Additionally, this book had a really unsatisfying ending.

I was drawn in by the historical aspects but as interesting as I found the premise of the book I just couldn’t help but be annoyed with the fact that every couple of pages had a ? Instead of a letter and the layout of the book was also annoying for me,

I thought that the main character were alright but I felt that they weren’t really attention grabbing and I’ve never been a fan of the love/lust at first sight trope.
