How to Grill Vegetables by Steven Raichlen is an amazing book with step by step instructions for grilling vegetables and fruits. The book is very detailed and includes a ton of recipes from appetizers to desserts and even includes homemade condiments using grilled veggies. Most recipes have a full color photo of the finished product. Some don't have a photo, but honestly the book would be so much longer because there are so many recipes included. I would add this one to my home recipe book collection.

I’m absolutely in love with this how to cookbook on grilling vegetables! Ever wonder how to get a great smoky flavor into a crisp vegetable dish? This book has loads of information and tips to cook just about any vegetable.

What did I like? Well you had me at the cover! Who doesn’t like a kabob or fire roasted vegetable? From Asparagus to fire roasted corn you will be amazed at the recipes and pictures that splatter the pages! The book gives you a wealth of information when choosing what to use to grill and easy to follow recipes when your ready. My favorite is pretty much anything on a kabob skewer.... loved the zucchini cut by mandolin then added to a skewer in a ribbon look!

Would I recommend or buy? This would be a great gift for the guy in your life that loves to grill! Or anyone who loves grilled vegetables! I thought it was an excellent book with some gorgeous pictures! I would love a copy!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review! Fabulous book! Five stars!

Very clear and simple book. It starts with all different kinds of grills : benefits and others. What fuel to use (wood? charcoal?) and what you should have to be able to cook in a save way on your grill.

Every recipe is accompanied by a clear ingredients list, where the recipe comes from (p.e. Spain? Malibu beach?) When possible it will give alternatives.

Pity we are in middle of winter here because I'll be certainly be trying a lot of recipes!! A fan!!

How to Grill Vegetables is the perfect book for those trying to incorporate more vegetables into their daily menus. There are lots of practical tips at the beginning suggesting tools, seasonings and techniques to get the most flavor out of your grilled veggies. Inventive suggestions abound for adding vegetables into all parts of your meal, even dessert!

Thank you Workman Publishing Company and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my review.

This is a comprehensive guide to grilling vegetables. It includes a grilling "how to" section in the front that is invaluable. This will instruct a new griller and enhance the skills of a seasoned veteran. The photos are gorgeous and there are so many recipes I want to try, especially when it stops snowing and gets a little warmer outside!

The recipes that caught my eye were: Grilled Radishes with Roquefort Butter and Shitakes Channeling Bacon (Crispy Smoked Shitakes), Caveman Corn, Grilled Carrots, Cajun Hobo Packs, Mechoui Cauliflower with Moroccan Spices, and Grilled Vegetable Paella.

This is not a completely plant based cookbook, but the recipes can be adjusted as required to fit any way of eating.

Anyone interested in adding more veggies in their life in a flavorful way will enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this book from the publishers via Netgalley. My review is voluntary.

Special thanks to Netgalley and working Man publishing company for providing me with ARC.

This book is amazing and full of recipes about vegetables, I love them so much and in many ways as salads or with tomato sauce like my mum do it or steamed but when I try to grill it always burn or dry from me.

I will try all ways I saw in this book soon.

Thanks to NetGalley and Workman Publishing Company for the digital galley of this book.

Can I just say how hungry this book made me? Every single photo is mouth-watering, and mostly healthy, because veggies. I am always looking for ways to incorporate more veggies into my cooking, and everything tastes better grilled.

The recipes in this cookbook are all things I want to eat, every day, which isn’t always the case with cookbooks. It’s billed as “Not a vegetarian book, but vegetable-forward (and with vegetarian and vegan adaptations).”

Even though it’s not strictly a vegetarian book, I like that they make adaptations for those who don’t eat any animal-based products, and I’m looking forward to trying a lot of these recipes, particularly as it gets closer to spring and nicer weather. It’s out in May, just in time for a summer of grilling, so keep it on your radar.

I love grilling and try to limit my meat consumption, so this book is right up my alley. The recipes were delicious and easy to follow. I loved trying out some of the recipes and look forward to trying a lot more in warmer weather, when we grill almost nightly!

When life for the entire galaxy and planet has turned on its end, you are continuing to #maskup and #lockdown to be in #COVID19 #socialisolation as the #secondwave is upon us, AND the worst sciatica attack in your life means you MIGHT sleep 3 hours a night, superspeed readers like me can read 250+ pages/hour, so yes, I have read the book … and many more today.

I requested and received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review.

From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.

America's grilling guru offers a primer for how to grill vegetables - with lots of creative flavours and techniques - whether you're eating main dishes that highlight vegetables, or you're rounding out the barbecue menu with grilled garden-fresh sides. Not a vegetarian book, but vegetable-forward (and with vegetarian and vegan adaptations).

This is a beautiful book - and worth it being around $50CAD if you have "live fire": I do not, but can see adapting them to propane, stovetop and the broiler with a little finesse. The photos are gorgeous (I wanted to rip out and frame some of them) and appreciate that these vegetable recipes could be made vegetarian or vegan ... which is a weird thing to say when the book is titled "How to Grill Vegetables". (I fully believe that everything is better with cheese and NOT "cheze" as any "cheze" that does not come from an animal is udder nonsense.)

The recipes are well written and understandable by cooks of all levels and the photos make the food very appealing to myself and other lovers of food out there.

What I especially love about the book is that it uses mostly whole ingredients instead of pre-prepared and packaged foods. I do draw the line at making my own cheese beyond a quickly-made mozzarella, and canning tomatoes but the more "ingredients" you use the better. My one nephew says that I never have any food in my house, only ingredients --- that is why I cook so much. I also refuse to eat or cook with Frankenfoods such as "chick'n" and its 88 ingredients vs. 🐔chicken🐔 having one!)

As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I simply adore emojis (outside of their incessant use by "🙏-ed Social Influencer Millennials/#BachelorNation survivors/Tik-Tok and YouTube Millionaires/snowflakes / literally-like-overusers etc. " on Instagram and Twitter... Get a real job, people!) so let's give it 🍅🥕 🍄 🥑🌶️

This book was received as an ARC from Workman Publishing Company in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Since it is after the holidays everyone is coming up with their New Years Resolutions and it is always common that people want to eat healthier and this book does not only focus on prepping, roasting and grilling vegetables but which vegetables to add with some of your favorite dishes considering that it is a vegetable forward cookbook. All of the dishes had pictures corresponding with the recipe which made it even more appealing and I can't wait to try some of these recipes especially the pizzas and the breakfast dishes. This could even be a potential cookbook to use for a future cooking demo at our library.

We will consider adding this title to our TX Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

How to Grill Vegetables - The New Bible for Barbecuing Vegetables over Live Fire by Steven Raichlen will up the playing-with-fire game of any adventurous griller. But that doesn’t mean that the author skimps on basics when it comes to illustrating the various grilling methods and when each should be used. He also describes many of the ingredients and provides their genesis.

These recipes, clearly a labor of love, will temp any foodie. The Spicy Smoke Chickpeas, Zucchini “Burnt Ends” and the Ultimate Smoked Baked Beans are definitely on my short list. But the section that I actually like the best is the Vegetable Abecedarian, which gives the grilling basics for almost any vegetable that the reader can imagine. I can definitely see myself referring this section on a regular basis and working my way through the rest of the recipes. Can’t wait for grilling season! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and all opinions are my own.
