This was a cute story with some fun artwork throughout. The first page of the book really threw me off though. I know Lily is a rabbit, but I thought it was inappropriate to have her without a top on. Inappropriate for the kids reading this and in front of her friend Milo! Maybe I am old school, but I thought she should have a shirt on! Other than that I really enjoyed this.

This is a cute little book with vibrant colors about two friends who go to the beach on a hot summer day. They have lots of adventures and bring memories home.

I received this copy from NetGalley, so I don't know if this is just a really early version of the book, but the actual execution has some issues--the format is wonky on Kindle, and there was at least one portion where the sentences were out of order. Most picture books I read (and I do read a lot due to having kids under 8) and very few of them have separate text and illustrations--I do have my font set fairly big on this device so that may have led to some of the wonkiness. It made the story a bit hard to read.

The story itself is very cute, and my girls enjoyed it. They're like most little kids and love any story that involves anthropomorphic animals. A good book for kids, but maybe pick this one up as a print edition instead of the kindle one. I will definitely keep an eye out for more Lily and Milo books!

So cute! Bright bold illustrations to attract the littlest readers, and plenty of opportunities to ask interactive questions during story time. Definitely recommended, great for reading out loud, and the littlest readers will love it.

Thanks to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

A very successful book to share with toddlers starts with lists of items of clothing this rabbit and mouse pair might have on to go to the beach, and lists of things they might take. It then becomes a very quick adventure, as they have fun, lose sight of each other, and then give us a warm, funny ending to it all too. It's full of charm, and every spread is successful in coaxing the adult into asking questions of the child about what they're seeing, and whether the critters need pack shampoo, etc. For a way to build engagement with books early, this is most welcome. Four and a half stars.

Great children's book with wonderful illustrations! Read it to my niece, and she was invested from start to finish.

I love this book. It's a sweet story for a very young audience with questions that invite interaction with the story and the adult reader. The illustrations are bold and bright, very appealing.

This would be good for asking questions as you go along. Good for reasoning skills. Cute characters.

This book is super cute. The illustrations are great and some of the opening pages ask questions that allow kids to pick what they think main characters Lily and Milo will choose to wear and take with them to the beach. Each page is brightly illustrated, and there's a lightly humorous ending I suspect kids will really enjoy.
