Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of PEACHES AND SCHEMES (Book 3 of the Georgia B&B Mysteries) by Anna Gerard in exchange for an honest review. Nina (NINE-AH) Fleet is participating in a bridal convention held at a local high school; she’s promoting her B&B, Fleet House, as a destination for weddings, honeymoons, and the various social gathering related to weddings. Nina’s new-ish friend and fellow expo vendor, Roxanna Quarry, is killed and her body revealed during the runway finale. Nina is soon donning her “Secret Squirrel” top hat and enlisting her tenant Harry Westcott to join with her in unveiling the killer. Nina’s investigation sadly reveals her friend wasn’t the nice person she seemed; as a result, more than one person had motive for murder. As the killer engages in additional and escalating acts, Nina’s march toward answers must reach its destination before the murderer finds a new victim.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, Shakespeare themes, wedding planning, B&Bs, dogs, dog fostering, and deceptive personas.

I would like to first thank NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the advanced copy of this book. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This is the 3rd book in the Georgia B&B Mystery series in which I found a joy to read. The book has amusing and fun characters which the author creatively constructed. I enjoyed the relationship between the main character Nina Fleet and Harry A. Westcott III, in which they began as "frenemies" and by the end of the story improved to a more meaningful connection. It is a quick, easy read and thankfully not so easy to guess whodunit. Plus, as a bonus you get free pointers in creating a beautiful floral bouquets. What's not to like.
Looking forward to read the previous stories in this series.

Peaches and Schemes by Anna Gerard is an advance reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Nina Fleet owns Fleet House, a B&B retreat in Ambeline, Georgia. She is participating in a trade show along with Roxanne, who is an event planner who is specializing in weddings. There is a fashion show ending with an oversized wedding cake that opens and out falls Nina's friend Roxanne.
This was a good story. I would love to spend a few days at Nina's B&B. As I had not read any of Anne Gerard's books, I did not know the characters, but once I got to meet some of the characters, I enjoyed the story. I was totally surprised by the ending.

Peaches & Schemes is the 3rd book in the Georgia B&B cozy mystery series. This is an enjoyable series with likable characters and an interesting mystery. Nina Fleet owns a B&B and is looking for ways to increase the number of guests she gets. Nina's friend, Roxanna, talks her into having a table at the popular Bridal Expo. When Roxanna is found dead, Nina wants to find out what happened to her friend. The book picks up quickly from this point. Nina's friend Harry is staying on the 3rd floor of the B&B. He never seems to have any money but he is likable, helpful and funny and we learn a little more about Harry in this book. Nina and Harry work together to solve Roxanna's death. There are accidents, dishonesty, secrets, and a happy ending! This was a very enjoyable cozy mystery. #NetGalley #PeachesAndSchemes

Nina hates weddings but because of her business she has to attend a wedding show. She and Harry work on solving the murder. Lots of suspects and lots of sub plots. Unexpected ending and possible romance between Nina and Harry.

This is the third book in the series and the one I've enjoyed the most so far.

Nina owns a B & B and is trying to diversify into the wedding business , so she's persuaded to take a stand at a local wedding fayre by her friend Roxie. Unfortunately, Roxie is murdered and it seems she wasn't as popular with other people as she was with Nina.

The relationship between Nina and Harry is much less antagonistic this time and that makes it a much more enjoyable read. There are plenty of suspects and red herrings. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Peaches and Schemes is the third installment in the A Georgia B&B Mystery series set in Cymbeline, Georgia and featuring innkeeper, Nina Fleet. Nina's friend, Roxanna Quarry has talked Nina into having a booth at the local Bridal Expo. Nina isn't too keen on weddings herself but knowing that hosting a few events will put Fleet House on the map, she approaches the day with a positive attitude. That is until she stumbles upon a vendor booth with a banner advertising Plus One. And much to her dismay, the one and only Harry Westcott is the gentleman running the booth.

Capping off the Expo is a runway pageant and sadly the pop up wedding cake finale reveals the strangled body of Roxie. Nina overheard an earlier argument between Roxie and Virgie Hamilton, her co-event planner which leads her to think that perhaps Virgie is the killer. But as Harry and Nina set out to investigate it becomes clear that there was a lot more to Roxie than Nina knew.

A fast paced plot with the return of series regulars. I get a huge kick out of the relationship between Nina and Harry and with the cliffhanger at the end of this addition to the series I hope Harry is here to stay. This book can read as a stand alone but I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the series to catch up with Nina, her dog Mattie and of course the delightful Harry Westcott.

I received an advanced copy of Peaches and Schemes from NetGalley via Crooked Lane Books. While not required to write a review I am happy to offer my honest opinion.

This moves pretty darn quick for a cozy mystery and I was quite delighted! The characters were fun, the mystery and red herring were well done, and there was even a few fun facts I learned. This was the first in the series for me, but I’m looking forward to both reading the other books as well as future ones in the series.

When Ninah's new friend Roxie gets murdered at the bridal expo it's up to her and Harry to figure out who did it and clear the name of a woman they believe is falsely accused. But the more Ninah digs in the more it becomes apparent that Roxie wasn't as nice a person as Ninah believed. From embezzling from her business partner to blackmail to leaving her ex-husband bancrupt...There's a list of people who wanted her dead.
Will Ninah figure it out in time to prevent Harry from following in Roxie's unfortunate footsteps?
Well written fast paced mystery- the only thing that annoyed me a little was the overuse of the word "actor" while referring to Harry.

I wasn't as invested here and I'm not quite sure why.

Maybe it is because I am not really a fan of Harry. It was nice to see them not as hostile toward each other, yet I don't really care about him much as a character.

I felt like Nina doesn't connect well with other people much and I kind of want to see her do that...

Yet, while I think overall that this may be a great installment for others that are invested in the series, it has been a consistent 3 star series for me for every installment now so I don't think I will continue past this one from here on out.

This was the third installment in the B&B series. It seemed to be developing well. In this book, Nina encounters a dead body while at a bridal expo. Unfortunately it is her friend. Nina sets out to discover who did in her friend. The following antics are not disappointing as she teams up with Harry again to solve the murder. I enjoyed seeing her relationship with Harry move ahead into something less combative. I would like to see her develop another female friendship in the series, that seems to be lacking.

A Murderous Turn...
The third Georgia B&B mystery and Nina Fleet is on the hunt for new customers. A local Bridal show seems a likely candidate. Things take a decidedly murderous turn, however, when the events planner turns up dead.. Is Nina herself in danger? Enjoyable, fun cosy mystery, nicely written with a likeable protagonist and a colourful supporting cast of characters. A fitting series addition.

Hoping to book more weddings at her B&B, Nina Fleet gets a table at the local Bridal Expo at her friend’s suggestion. At the end of the Bridal Fashion show, that caps off the event, a large wedding cake is rolled out onto the runway and instead of the surprise flowers that were supposed to flow out of the cake, Nina’s friend Roxanna falls out of the cake, dead.

When Nina shares the details of a fight she overheard Roxanna and her business partner having, the police arrest the business partner for murder. Nina doesn’t believe the woman killed Roxanna and decides to prove the woman’s innocence. It is during her investigation that Nina discovers her friend wasn’t quite the person she believed her to be. But focusing on the woman she knew, she goes on to seek justice for her friend.

Along with her partner in crime, Harry, Nina come up with quite a few suspects but no solid evidence. Will they be able o find the murderer or will this be the one that gets away?

This is the third book in the series, and I have read them all. With an Australian shepherd, southern charm, and a well written whodunit each time, this is one of my go to series. I can’t wait to read the fourth entry in this series.

Nina Fleet is the owner of Fleet House, a bed-and-breakfast retreat Fleet House in Cymbeline, Georgia. She’s taking part in the third annual fall Veils and Vanities Bridal Expo at Cymbeline High School.

Cymbeline is a tourist destination for tourists and creatives including brides who see the town as a fun place for a budget wedding destination.

At the expo, Nina overhears her friend Roxanna and the expo’s confounder, Virgie Hamilton having a heated argument over website domains. Then she hears Virgie accuse Roxanna of stealing money from their joint expo account which Roxanna denies.

Shortly after, Roxanne is found strangled to death with a scarf.

A well crafted cozy mystery filled with interesting characters. Would recommend.

Thank you to Anna Gerard, NetGalley, and Crooked Lane Books for the ARC of this book.
