I found this to be a bit like a pre-packaged self-help mix – a little bland and not quite my flavor. While I usually believe in the power of self-help books to offer some nuggets of wisdom, this one felt a tad 'cookie cutter' for my taste.

The book, presented as a collection of inspirational quotes accompanied by colorful photographs, tries to exude positiveness and encouragement. Unfortunately, what it delivers is more like a familiar medley of well-intentioned but not very inspired phrases. The self-help style of presentation, featuring poems, scriptures, and songs, felt formulaic and didn't offer the fresh perspective I was hoping for.

The content felt somewhat generic, lacking the depth and originality I seek in self-help literature. The quotes, though aiming for inspiration, missed the mark for me, coming across as more of a compilation than a thoughtful exploration of meaningful concepts.

This book might find its audience among those seeking a straightforward, no-frills collection of uplifting phrases and images. While it didn't quite resonate with me, I believe there's a diverse readership for every kind of book.

"Quotes" Humbled but, Yet Eloquent by Winifred Lee Richardson was not what I expected. I was expecting a book of positive, uplifting quotes, what I got was religious quotes. Yes, religious quotes are positive and uplifting, however it was a bit too religious for me. I was hoping for a variety of quotes from famous authors and other uplifting people, and there was not enough variety for me. If you like religious quotes and positive messages, then this is the book for you, it just was not the book for me.

I am unable to provide a thorough review. The formatting of this ARC is difficult to review. There are all sorts of formatting marks, notes, duplicate text. I tried with three formats - NetGalley shelf, Adobe Digital Edition and Kindle and had the same result each place.

I loved the concept of this book. The pictures were gorgeous.

I won't be publishing my review publically as I believe much of this is related to the poor formatting, not the book itself. If an updated ARC becomes available, I would be happy to update my review and publish it publically.

This book is so poorly formatted, I could not read it. I cannot recommend the book as provided to me. I tried reading all three od the formats provided to me, but they all seemed to have formatting errors, embedded notes to the editor, repeated lines. In addition, it was difficult to discern between what was a quote and what was original from the author. This was aggravated by the lack of citations for quoted material - missing both author's names and sources. Finally, it appears that some quotes are inter woven, mingling the beginning of one quote with the conclusion of another.

This combination of problems forces me to give the book a single star. However, given that I expect that some of these problems are created by the source text into the various formats used for the ebooks, I have decided to not post the review publically except on Netgalley itself.

Very beautiful book. I very much enjoyed this. I would not normally pick a book like this but I am very glad I did.
