Really good and all-rounded kit for the book clubs. Gives a lot to think and rethink about based on the story itself.

Really helpful book club resource. The questions are thoughtful and can lead to some very interesting conversations.

This is super cute and fun. I didn’t realize what it was until I opened it up. It gives more info into the author and has a Q&A section. This is a wonderful tool for a book club and worth it if you are reading Mexican Gothic with a group.

I will count it as a cheating. There shouldn't be books as an snapshot of the actual books. I requested it based on the description of the book but this was utter nonsense. NetGalley must ban such acts. We're here for books not just their synopsis..

Snagged this book club kit for a buddy read. Very well put together, included a super cute set of paper dolls showcasing outfits. I enjoyed the additional materials for reference and the questions, however the playlist by Sylvia Moreno-Garcia is my favorite part of this kit. Looking forward to reading and listening!

Mistakenly assumed this was the actual novel, but it's pretty fun otherwise. I'm a fan of authors creating a body of work alongside their novel; the playlist, Noemi's fits, and also that history of the gothic genre. Really useful! Using this to guide my understanding of the book as I read it.

I originally requested this book thinking it was the book. I was surprised upon opening it that it was the book club kit. I did however enjoy reading the letter from the other giving a bit of Mexico's history. I also really enjoyed the history on gothic novels. The paper doll set was just icing on the cake. I always loved paper dolls as a child and really enjoyed seeing the periodical fashion and a bit of history on it. I think it is a wonderful kit to accompany the book.

A mind boggling book that made me question a lot of things throughout the read. The main character was likeable and rational

A mixture of romance, mystery and horror is all I need in a good book and this one delivered all of that. Had me super hooked till the end. Highly recommend it.

I'm so happy that a premade Book Club Kit was created for Mexican Gothic. Mexican Gothic is such a popular book. I used this Book Club Kit with one of the groups that meets monthly at the library. This Book Club Kit was so handy to use and it will be printed so I can include it in the Book Club Kit for Mexican Gothic at the library.

this book is one of the best books I've read, it has mystery, horror, a little bit of romance, and will not let you stop reading until you get to the very end.

I mistakenly requested this book because I thought it was the actual book. Nevertheless, I still liked the book club kit, I loved learning about the Gothic genre and how it evolved over the years.
What I loved best was the pictures of what Noemi wore, readers always envision what their characters look like and seeing it was wonderful! I also loved her style.
I think this kit will provide lots of matters to talk about in book clubs

This was surprisingly very helpful and I enjoyed the kit a lot.
I've never heard of these book kits but its so well done.
I enjoyed the Author giving us more in depth information about Mexico where her book is based and the clothing for our main character.
Oh and I loved the questions! I want more sets of questions for other books I read with people too.
Definitely will keep an eye out for other book kits.

Only downside was format but that could of been my kindle fault.

Book Club Kit Mexican Gothic # NetGalley

I had never heard of this authors before. However the synopsis of. What I read really peaked my interest. Unfortunately it definitely was not for me. I actually found parts I liked. Unfortunately my over all opinion just really boring and the part glad I didn’t have to read it all because I just could not have done it

I'm a massive fan of the book, and I think this kit is very fun to have on hand for after you finish the novel. I especially loved the breakdown of Neomi's fashion choices and how they help immerse the readers in the time period in which the book was set. If you're reading Mexican Gothic for a book club, this will be definitely be nice to have!

The book is fantastic and the book club kit was really helpful for my book club.
