This was a great continuing story of the Orient Express. The characters were great and had good back stories. The pace did seem to move a little too quickly in some spots while dragging in others. This didn't ruin the effect of the story though. It was very enjoyable.

I liked the second book of this series, and I appreciate how the author subtly mentioned the hero of that book. I understand how the book started and how the friendship developed, and the honesty of both characters. I also like how the author didn’t deviate into the cliche of matchmaking plots' usual dilemma, which is the “web of lies.” I also like how she ended the story. She did not rush the story into a happy ending right away. Yes, there were some minor misunderstandings, but she did not drag the “dilemma” too much to create more drama. Knowing that Heather B. Moore wouldn’t disappoint, I recommend this book. I am enjoying this series and can’t wait to read the next one. I give this book a 3.5/5 because I rarely give four stars anyway. :)

This is a sweet and gentle story with bits of adventure along the way. Gigi is out of her element on the "seniors" tour with her aunt and aunt's friends, but Clyde and Gigi quickly become friends and vow to remain just friends in spite of her aunt's hopes for something more. The details of the tour stops were interesting and it reminded me of the spirit of discovery when I took my first trip to Europe a few years ago. Secrets and issues from Clyde and Gigi's previous relationships bring some drama and angst, but the foundation of friendship they develop continues right along the path to love. I especially liked how Gigi and Aunt Rowena connected in new ways and became closer as a result of their travel and care for each other. An enjoyable addition to the Romance on the Orient Express series!

There were so many things I enjoyed about this story. First and foremost had to be the comic relief. Aunt Rowena and her friends were incredibly diverting and I loved them from the very first meeting. They created just the right amount of humor and warmth.

I loved how Heather used Gigi’s letters home to give us a good basis for setting. It was a clever way to narrate the setting without going into lengthy descriptions.

Heather wrote such a friendly and open beginning to Gigi and Clyde’s relationship. It grew naturally and beautifully on the page. I love how seen Clyde makes Gigi feel, isn’t that what we all want, to be see for who we are.

Between the well placed humor, the cleverly created setting and the slow but delightful romance, it was a really enjoyable read.

I’ve especially loved how they are carrying the mystery of Nicholas through the whole series, it has given each novel an air of mystery that keeps you coming back to the over arching story as a whole.

Until Vienna by Heather B. Moore, 176 pages. Covenant Communications, 2021. $13.
Language: G (0 swears, 0 “f”); Mature Content: PG; Violence: G
BUYING ADVISORY: HS - OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
At 24 years old, Gigi is making her way out of the market of eligible young ladies, and that’s okay with her; Gigi is happy with her work at the dressmaker’s and is pleased about her younger sister’s upcoming wedding. When her elderly aunt declares that Gigi will accompany her on an art tour across the continent, Gigi is reluctant but happy to go. Little does she know that her aunt has more in mind than simply looking at beautiful artwork.
I found Gigi’s adventures across Europe and her journey with love enjoyable to read for three-quarters of the book. Then the big conflict came to try the relationship Gigi was building, and it was lame. I felt that Gigi and her love interest acted out of character in order for there to be conflict, and I was disappointed by the forced misunderstanding. Their unsatisfactory challenge made their triumph and eventual happy ending less sweet.

Gina is accompanying her aunt to Vienna on the luxurious Oriental Express. There are another two older ladies, friends of her aunt travelling with them and Gina is expected to be an additional partner for whist and card games and a sort of travelling companion.

The actual story of why Gina was chosen is more complicated. Aunt Rowena was instrumental in driving away Gina's former boy friend and has now set her sights on the present guide for their tour the enigmatic and handsome Professor Clyde Haskins. He has all the attributes which the Aunt considers necessary and it is only a matter of time she feels, before it all comes together neatly.

The settings of all the various cities through which the journey takes them is glorious. The descriptions are really good and the journey itself on the Oriental Express is detailed and descriptive. I enjoyed this part of the story more than the actual romance and its ups and downs.

I have enjoyed traveling to all these different places through this series. The Orient Express is such a fun and romantic time for this series. This book was a lot of fun. I loved the humor. Aunt Rowena and her friends added so much fun to this story. I loved Gigi and Clyde's reactions to it all. They were also fun characters who had experienced their own heartbreak. They had a sweet relationship that I really enjoyed. I'm excited to read the next book and see where we travel to next.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through Netgalley, but this is my honest review.

This book is delightful and sweet. I loved the relationship between Gigi and Clyde and I adored Aunt Rowena and her friends. I laughed aloud during the awkward list scene. That was a fun one. And I loved how the whole family plus the aunt and her friends are all privy to everything that is going on. Nothing like having all your concerns out for everyone's review.

Enjoyable read!

This is the third book in the Orient Express series, and it is hands down my favorite. Gigi is so strong and Clyde is so charming and they are both so likable. Some parts are very funny and others are very romantic and I just adored the whole thing.

#BookReview: UNTIL VIENNA by Heather B. Moore 4.5 stars

This is my second book by the author and I can say she’s a new favorite. I like how she incorporates family relationships, adventure and sweet romance in her stories. I truly enjoyed this journey with Georgina on the Orient Express. Aunt Rowena is stubborn but she can be funny too. Aunt Rowena and her friends are such dear ladies. I had fun with them as they stopped at every city. I had to research the names of the places they visited and some art that was mentioned. I felt I was part of the Twilight Tour too. The Vittoria Caldoni painting is beautiful and I was giddy when Professor Haskins showed it to Georgina.

I still don’t know who Nicholas was. Why was he at the Orient Express? He was an interesting character. Now I want to read the other books in the Romance on the Orient Express series to see if he is there as well. But this one can be read as a stand alone.

I enjoyed the shared glances between Georgina and the Professor. Yes they became friends during the tour but I think that their knowledge of Aunt Rowena’s list planted a seed in their hearts. Their time together was just so sweet and Professor Haskins is a caring man. I would like to see his hair.

I am really delighted with this story and it is on point as it is not a long book. The twist at the end was nice as it brought to light the importance of family. If you love regency romance, art and a trip on the Orient Express, this one's for you!

Fun story about Georgina (Gigi) who is so lucky to go on the trip of a lifetime on the Orient Express! What I wouldn't give to be able to do that! Her cute elderly Aunt and fun friends have decided to do a little matchmaking with Gigi and their tour guide Clyde. Neither Gigi or Clyde are interested in being matched but play along for fun. Such a cute story, I loved the progress of them becoming friends.

One reason I’m grateful for books like Until Vienna by Heather B. Moore is that they allow me to travel regardless of personal funds or global pandemics. This book has seriously fueled my wanderlust!
Synopsis:
When Georgina “Gigi” Ballard agrees to accompany her Aunt Rowena on a train tour of Europe she believes she’s simply signing up for time appreciating art and culture with a few eccentric elderly ladies. However, upon meeting the young tour guide, Professor Clyde Haskins, her aunt and fate have a different plan in mind.
Book Review:
This book pulled me in from page one because of the characters. I love Gigi as a main character. She doesn’t realize how strong and capable she is. She has an incredible heart and I love her passion for fashion and design. Aunt Rowena is feisty. I love how she and her group of friends add to the story. Also, I can’t forget Professor Haskins and how he draws Gigi out of herself, helping her see her own value. While the characters were my favorite part of this novel, the setting took the story to a whole new level. I could picture the various cities they visited and have now added Vienna to my travel wish list. This book is the perfect way to travel when you have to stay where you are!

I love books with well rounded and fleshed out characters. Gigi and Clyde as well as the many secondary characters really made this an enjoyable read. The descriptions of the different locations they travel made me want to visit Europe and experience some of these lovely cities and museums. I was caught up in the romance as they traveled and got to know each other but felt the "conflict" at the end was a little forced and not totally in character for those two but it was resolved rather quickly and we reached the happy ending eventually. This is the first in this series that I have read and I am assuming the character of Nicholas appears in each book. He was a bit of a mystery to me, having not read the other books first. But this story works all on its own and was a pleasant read that took me traveling in a time when staying at home is all we are able to do.

I really liked the setting as well; the glimpses of the Orient Express made me want to go book a spot in a sleeper car and the stops on the art tour had me longing to go on a tour of my own. I also enjoyed seeing Gigi and Clyde fall for one another. I didn't love the main conflict in their romance; I won't give away what it is in order to avoid spoilers, but my personal preferences have always made this type of conflict one that I just don't care for. However, I did like how Clyde finally got to the point of reconciliation and the conclusion of the book. This is a good choice for those looking for a sweet historical romance.
3.5 stars.

The opening chapter started off with a great hook. This had a good flow and writing so I was able to stay interested to the end. Though this wasn't a romcom I found there were still some moments that had humor and were sweet. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I think this is a great idea for a multi author series. I've read book 1 and this one of the series. I love the theme, setting and the reacurring character. The Professor and Gigi were characters I genuinely liked. I always appreciate a story of a budding romance that is kept clean. Side characters helped round out the story. I liked the time spent relaxing and escaping into the sweet story, I plan to look into the others in this series.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book. Opinions are 100% my own and vountarily given.

I basically picked up this book on a whim. I knew nothing about the author or series but the description sounded good and I need more books to read so I hit the request button on NetGalley.
And thankfully the story was pretty much what I had anticipated and it was an enjoyable read that I finished in a single day.
Gigi was a caring heroine, always making sure those in her life were doing well. She put her foot down when necessary but she was a very agreeable sort.
I wasn’t sure what to make of Professor Clyde Haskins at first, especially since we only got Gigi’s point of view, but he grew on me and I enjoyed his character.
The relationship between Gigi and Clyde definitely started off as friendship and I liked the way they bonded over staving off the matchmaking attempts. Their romance was sweet, except for a little bit at the end where there were some assumptions made and overreacting took place, but overall I liked them as a couple.
Aunt Rowena and the other ladies weren’t as obnoxious as I anticipated which definitely helped my opinion of the book. I have a pet peeve when it comes to eccentric elderly characters but they balanced out well and were entertaining without being over the top.
The main thing that drew me to this story was traveling on the Orient Express and it was definitely a fun setting for the story and I liked seeing some of the stops along the way through Gigi’s eyes.
All in all this was a good little read that, if the plot interests you, I definitely recommend picking up!

The more I read of the books from the Romance on the Oriental Express, the more I enjoy the nods to each other and the little connections.  The thing that stood out most to me in this stand alone novel was the real life situations the characters found themselves in.  The challenges and disappointments they were dealing with, their natural reactions and emotions, and the beauties in the opportunities for international travel were compelling.  I loved the descriptive writing!

I received a complimentary copy of this book.  Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the third book in the Romance on the Orient Express series and while it can be read as a standalone there are details in each book that tie the three together and a mysterious passenger that makes an appearance in each book. This was an enjoyable read, but I didn't really connect to the characters and that made it hard to connect to the story. I enjoyed the mention of the painting by Overbeck since I hadn't heard of that painting before or that artist and it was fun to look it up. Overall this was an entertaining read, but I just didn't feel a connection to it. 2.5
