Thanks to Netgalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Coral Reef is a fold-out picture book that introduces readers to animals that live in the ocean. This book is such a fun and engaging educational tool. The illustrations are beautiful, and the interactive fold-out nature of the book adds another great layer. I look forward to adding this book to my daughter's bookshelf to help her learn about coral reef creatures.

Thank you, NetGalley and Happy Fox Books, for the ARC of this book.
The book is read and reviewed by seven-year-old Amy.
Coral Reef is a non-fiction picture book that teaches us about the animals that live in coral reefs.
It teaches about Stingrays, Octopuses, Seahorses, and much more. It even tells about the great barrier reef and other reefs too.
The illustrations are very colorful and attractive.
I recommend this book to anyone four years and older.

Reading this book to my 6 year old, one thing I noticed was how much she loved the colors and the pictures used. I asked her how she felt about the book and she said that she wished it was longer. I enjoyed the fact that it was able to keep her entertained and that she was able to learn new facts.

Coral reef by Piro Radka illustrated by Martin Sojdr is a very beautiful vibrant book about coral reef and all the underwater animals. There are so many interesting facts and information about the reef and sea creatures that me and my daughter weren't aware of. She was very fascinated by the pictures and all the interesting facts. A factual book which is a must have in a kids library!

The book’s colourful illustration is so inviting for young kids who are interested in learning about the coral reef ecosystem. I like how the information is in chunks, which makes it easy to understand. I would recommend this book for 2nd-3rd grade readers.

Recently while looking at an online art exhibition with Barriers as the theme, ic ame acorss a painting of the Great barrier reef and realised that barrier is just one type of a reef, there are others like frinign or atoll reefs.
This book explains th right conditions for a reef - shallow water and the warm temperature.
It is surprising to know that this rock looking still living thing can harbor so much life. Its teeming with so many fishes, seahorses and many colorful things. For enthusiastic readers who liek to travel far from their cozy chair.

It’s safe to say that we are all in need of an escape these days. Children and adults can easily escape to the ocean floor together in the delightful nonfiction children’s book, Coral Reef, by Piro Radka and illustrated by Martin Sojdr.

Coral Reef provides young readers with fascinating information about various ocean creatures including coral reef, clown fish, octopus, dolphins and many more. Interesting facts are presented in small text portions throughout the book, ideal for holding the attention of young readers. The facts range in complexity and were new to my toddler as well as myself! The end of the book features additional text for further learning. My three year old son and I enjoyed learning about how various sea life sleep; a thought I had never even pondered. While the text information was above the comprehension level of my one year old, he enjoyed reading along too. The vivid and brightly colored pages as well as beautifully drawn animals will be appealing to readers of all ages.

I would highly recommend this book to parents looking for an engaging way to enhance their child’s learning about nature, animals, and the world.

The best part of this book is its illustrations. They are vibrant and beautiful with lots of eye-catching motion. The pages are cut out, so each page gets bigger until you reach the last full pages.

The captions are a bit advanced for the target age group. There are certain words and concepts that will no doubt inspire children to ask questions, which may result in having to do a bit of outside research. For instance, if seahorses don't have stomachs, where does their food go? And what is nacre?

The last page is also oddly different from the rest of the pages. Rather than having a coral reef background, it's a plain blue page with small square images and captions. There is no real order to how the images are presented.

I really enjoyed the illustrations, but I'd like to see a bit more organization and perhaps even a short glossary for unfamiliar terms.

I received a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and Happy Fox Books.

This is an amazingly illustrated children's book which beautifully describes the coral reef and all who live in the coral reef, such as fish, dolphins, octopus, sea horses etc. It is an educational book which would be perfect to have in every nursery or school. My daughter and I loved this book and we enjoyed learning about the different types of fish and what they look like. This is a great book, which I highly recommend!

Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this story. A great children's book. I would have liked it better if the pictures coincided with the animal they were talking about. But my boys enjoyed it and we learned a few things.

Many thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

A non-fiction board book for young children. Colourful, cheerful and endearing illustrations by Martin Sojdr, accompany bubbles of fascinating information about creatures who live within a coral reef. I love how the pages have been cut so the reader sees all the layers to the reef from the beginning and with each page turn, surprises are exposed.

I note that the age range for this book, on the B4U website, is 3-5 yrs old so I assume this version is the same. I would say some of the words used in this book are quite long and/or difficult for that age range to understand. Also, the text reads more like an encyclopaedia, not a young child’s board book and there is a fair amount of this information within each bubble to hold a young child’s attention. The version on the B4U website appears to have different text altogether and whilst it still uses the odd long word, is much more child friendly.

Gorgeous book that I would dearly love to buy myself and would happily recommend to friends if the text was more child friendly.

Do you know a child interested in the creatures that make up the beautiful coral reefs? This beautiful book explains some of the more popular creatures of reefs, their special qualities, and how they get food or protect themselves from becoming food.

I found this book to be very educational as well as accessible for a child. I also thought the illustrations showing how full reefs are were a wonderful way to help children understand that these creatures all live together, and sometimes even on top of each other in the bustling ecosystem of reefs.

What stunning illustrations on this book!! My 3 year old read it with me and her eyes lit up when she saw the first page! The book was incredibly educational. Sometimes the wording was just a little advanced to read out loud to my daughter and I lost her attention mid way through. I learned some fun tips about coral reef though and it was easy to follow the descriptions with the illustrations of the animal it was talking about.

I would recommend this to parents with kids in early elementary.

The illustrations in this compact picture book are gorgeous! If your child is interested in the ocean/fish, this is a must-read. In addition to the colorful pictures of coral and fish, facts about different sea creatures are sprinkled through the book. This would be a great educational book, but also fun to just flip through and appreciate the bright colors and many details!
