The town of Greenville, Utah, is dominated by the Septosect religious cult and its leader Harrison who has ambitions for increasing his religious control over the area. Living amidst the threat of a fatal virus, which could take a whole horde of people at a time, the members of the cult look to the Septosect’s ideals as a way of life, hoping that a divine entity will spare them from their doomsday.

This book sparked my interest due to the description and genre. It is a worthy read that covers important issues relevant to the real world. Issues such as religion, cults, fake news and power come into play. It is not an easy, quick read but one that keeps you reading wanting further information.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

3.5/5.

I love anything involving a cult-like entity or cults themselves and this just hit the nail on the head. I would suggest a different cover, something a little more haunting because the cover feels so blah while the content is so interesting.
