Love everything that Dorie does, and this cookbook is no exception. Lots of great recipes that you will want to bake again and again, some seem familiar but with a twist, and always with great explanations about techniques and unexpected twists/ingredients.

This book is absolutely gorgeous. The photos alone make me want to try every recipe, so it's hard to choose where to start first. What I love most, though, is how approachable every recipe is. Nothing seems too intimidating to dive into and there is so much variety! Every recipe I've tried has turned out great!

Dorie Greenspan is a delight. She never disappoints with her well thought out, delicious recipes. Another keeper, I purchased a copy for my personal collection.

Baking With Dorie is a great book. It is approachable for a beginner baker,as Dorie has very clear instructions. It also has a nice savory section, which I really appreciate. For an advanced baker, it may not be the best choice, as there isnt a whole lot of 'new ground' included.. and the recipes dont require any advanced techniques or equipment. A slight annoyance is that her picture is on the spine... an unnecessary ego stroke

I enjoy baking on a casual level. This cookbook is on a whole other level. The recipes sound AMAZING but many of the recipes seem overwhelming, either because of the number of ingredients or the steps involved. I greatly enjoyed the photos of the finished masterpieces but wish a photo was provided for each recipe. Some of the recipes, such as the Marbled Cheesecake, Park Avenue Brownies, and the Caramel Crunch-Chocolate Chunklet Cookies, are things I think I could manage and look forward to trying. I do appreciate the suggestions provided for variations of the recipes. The instructions are exceptionally detailed which is immensely helpful.

With "Baking with Dorie," Dorie Greenspan has given us yet another fabulous cookbook full of delicious recipes and helpful baking advice. Inspiration for her delicious recipes comes from food traditions and friends around the globe, yet Dorie makes them accessible for her readers to prepare. From anything-but-basic white bread to decadent desserts like lick-the-pot chocolate pudding pie, Dorie provides her readers with another fantastic cookbook. She give a introduction for each of the recipes along with recipe hacks and baking hints. There are pictures illustrating each dish and many step-by-step instructions for recipe preparations.
Five stars for With "Baking with Dorie," another fantastic cookbook from Dorie Greenspan that aspiring and veteran bakers will want to add to their collection.

Baking with Dorie is my first introduction to Dorie's cookbooks. I'm giving the book 3 stars, the recipes aren't as simple as I was hoping for.

Another stunner from Dorie that will certainly become a staple on any baker’s shelf. It is a delicious mix of simple and more complex recipes, with the always-reliable instruction that Dorie provides and the suggestions for endless variations so every baker can make her recipes their own.

Dorie Greenspan does it again! The recipes within 'Baking with Dorie' are positively scrumptious. Readers are sure to be drawn in by the beautiful full page photos and stay for the elegant and sophisticated recipes. I know I cannot wait to try the 'Marbled Cheesecake' recipe! On a personal note, I have never been very successful with cheesecakes but the level of explanation found in this particular recipes instructions make me believe I will be successful this time. Happy baking everyone!

Baking with Dorie is filled with original recipe ideas and ingenious hacks. Her miso maple loaf recipe has attained somewhat of a legendary status in my household and I have recommended it to friends ever since I was introduced to the recipe in the book. Same goes to recipes of blueberry biscuits, double decker salted caramel cake, goat cheese black pepper quick bread, asparagus lemon quiche and potato-parm tart.

Another must book have for baking enthusiasts from a true culinary icon! Dorie Greenspan makes the most complex recipe obtainable even for novice bakers.

I wish there were more pictures. It helps me to see what the finished product should look like. Plus, I eat with my eyes first, so if a picture captures my attention, I want to make it. The recipes are both sweet and savory and look rustic in the pictures. I don’t bake often, but I feel I can easily make many of these recipes. The recipes seem easy to follow and I have many of the ingredients on hand. Shortbread and snowballs and scones! Oh my!

Wonderful recipes which were easy to follow. Everything I baked from this beautiful cookbook has been delicious. I wouldn’t expect anything less from this queen of baking.

I love to cook, but baking is really my comfort zone… and if you bake at all, you probably already know that anything with Dorie Greenspan’s name on it is going to be amazing. So it’s really no surprise that Baking With Dorie does not disappoint at all. From the breads to the cakes to the cookies, every recipe is easy to follow, with beautiful pictures, and wonderful stories, explanations, and hints from Dorie. All the recipes I tried were perfect. This book will absolutely have a place of honor on my cookbook shelf. I can’t wait to bake my way through the rest of this book.

I've never read a book by Doris I haven't liked. The recipes kinda are all over the place and I would try most of them. No index in the back of the book which is nice to see, who looks at those anymore!

The simple, elegant and delicious (gluten-free) Lisbon chocolate cake recipe alone would make this book a keeper. The staggering variety of treats presented with Greenspan’s warm style and clear instruction is truly impressive!

Dorie Greenspan can do no wrong in my book. Her streak continues with this, her latest book..
Easy-to-follow recipes, beautiful photos, and Dorie's usual encouraging manner. There's something for everyone in here.
I've already made the Miso-Maple Loaf and the Crumb-Topped Ricotta Coffee Cake, and I already know I'll be returning to this book again and again!

What a fantastic collection of recipes! I really enjoyed reading this cookbook. Dorie writes a short intro, or story, for each recipe that leaves me wanting to try making each and every one in this book! Her recipes are well laid out, with helpful hints and tricks, detailed baking instructions, storage and freezing instructions, and there are suggestions for substitutions. The cookbook has beautiful, mouth watering photographs of many of the recipes. This would make an excellent addition to any baker's library!
