This little picture book was adorable! It is all about Robin’s first day of school and how scared he is to go at first but we get to see just how much fun school can be!

I think this book with its captivating drawings, adorable animal characters and realistic expectations will be a perfect read for a child who is nervous about their first day of school!

I really recommend this, especially if you do have a child who might need an extra little confidence boost before school!

5/5⭐️

The artwork for this book is absolutely wonderful. I read it with my son who is in preschool and he loved it! We discussed the pattern of the school day, sequences, and important activities such as picking up our messes. He loves preschool so much and related to this book so easily! It would have been a great book to have before his first day!

This is a fun little book about a bird’s first day of school. The illustrations were cute and the book kept my child’s interest throughout- he especially liked the rabbit in the restroom!

An adorably illustrated book for preschoolers hesitant to start school. The story follows Robin's first day at school and all the activities preschoolers can anticipate during their day from circle time, playing with toys, meal times, and going potty. The story concludes with Robin's mom returning at the end of the school day to pick him up and leaving him excited to return to school the next day.

Such a sweet story that my own child starting preschool this year enjoyed! I would recommend this book for preschool aged children.

I adore Esther Van den Berg's illustration style and the message in this book is so sweet as Robin navigates his very first day of school

This book was a cute, sweet look at a first day at school for a young bird. It was easy to read and will be engaging for young readers who are nervous about going to school for the first time, since it gives them a good idea of what their day will be like and shows that their parents will come back for them at the end of the day.

The art style was cute and fitting for the story. While I think this will be a comfort for young readers, it doesn't quite encapsulate the feelings of the first day of school, but rather a typical day at school. The characters talk to each other as if it's just been a weekend away instead of a summer. I believe this is a translated book, though, so I'm not sure how the school system works in the author's country and how that would affect a first day of school for them.

Overall, it was a nice read.
