you have twins and one-night stands. This was good and funny. I went in not knowing what to expect. It was a good book.

I picked this one up since I read the previous book in the series and loved it. Honestly though the main character of Gretchen wasn’t a very nice character and I didn’t really see the reasoning behind her actions. I thought Ryder at times was immature. They were a good couple and I liked the ending. Overall, it was an good book I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley for in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

Hilarious! I laughed from beginning to the end. Melanie Munton hit this one out of the park. The chemistry between Ryder and Gretchen is off the charts. I love their snide comments. The old hag commentary was the best.

This was the first book from this author that I read. Reading was quick and smooth, it kept me going, I was quickly reading it. But the story was a little off for me. I didn't like the Ryan's personality or his actions. There were several scenes that I didn't enjoy because of his behaviour.
It is pretty steamy, they have energy and connection, but it just wasn't right for me.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved this book. I loved Gretchen and Ryder! I’ve never read a story like this. It’s similar to most but with a twist. It
will keep you reading until the end. Also, this book is in Gretchens POV, however Mrs. Munton wrote Ryder in such a way he really didn’t need his own POV. I usually like dual POV’s but Gretchens POV only worked for this story line for me.

This book has all the emotions to me. I felt suspense, laughed out loud a few times and holy wow at the sexy scenes. Also, all the supporting characters are hilarious. This is book 3 in this series and I am going to go back and read the books 1 and 2.

This was a decent book however it didn't hold my attention and it took me longer to read than a normal book of this genre would almost three times as long.

Ooohhhh! You can feel the sexy-angst dripping off of the pages! The witty writing for The Mix-Up had me giggle and laughing out loud.
💜
Gretchen is speechless when she starts a new job and sees her one-night stand from a few weeks previous is her new boss. But he doesn’t seem to remember her... so she plays along ... but is fuming inside about it. Then she finds out he has an identical twin brother ... could it have been him....?
💜
I loved Gretchen’s sarcasm and stubbornness. Everything about Ryder was hot. Only his stubbornness and witty banter can rival Gretchen's. But he has the patience and persistence to play the long game.
This is an office romance (Boss and employee) with an enemies to lovers type vibe.
💜
Hotness level 14/10 🔥🥵

The Mix-Up is the third book in the Southern Hearts Club series but the book stands on its own. This is the first I’ve read by Ms. Munton and I am addicted to her witty writing, characters, and steamy scenes, it won’t be my last!

I was really into the synopsis. It seemed pretty exciting. Then I was fortunate enough to read 2 reviews on Goodreads which is now leading me to abandon this book. I got to learn how Ryder and Gretchen's relationship really like. And now I'm out. I can't read a book where--- You know what? Nevermind! Not gonna read it. Ugh! I was excited.....

The book was ok but I did have a hard time staying interested in the story. I am not sure why it just didn't keep me interested.

I know some will love it

I picked this one up since I read the previous book in the series and loved it. Honestly though the main character of Gretchen wasn’t a pleasant character nor did I understand her motivations behind her actions. I thought Ryder at times was immature and brutish. They did work well as a couple and I liked the ending. Overall, it was an okay book. Even though this book wasn’t a great fit for me I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The Mix-Up is book # 3 of the Southern Hearts Club and despite jumping in mid-series I was able to follow along and fall instantly in love with all the characters!

𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑛 ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑢𝑝 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑜𝑠𝑠........ 𝑜𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑠ℎ𝑒???

💜The Mix-up is a 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱, 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 about opening yourself up to relationships and the possibility of love. It's such a fun take on the 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 and I adored the unconventional yet entertaining spin of this story.

💜Melanie Munton is a fairly new author to me but oh boy does she have an 𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗺. Her writing style is full of comical anecdotes and one-liners that are riotous and t-shirt worthy!

💜 I enjoyed the depth and complexity of the female lead Gretchen. She has a commitment phobia that she covers up with witty remarks which I am totally here for! Any character who has a 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘁𝘂𝗯 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝘁 is emotionally unavailable and calls her downstairs Duchess is my kind of gal 👑

💜Ryder is her sexy as sin boss who I wanted to jump multiple times throughout the book because of his emotional honesty and unwavering personality. He knows what he wants and I appreciated how genuine his intentions were. He's isn't some alpha hole but exudes confidence and an aura of masculinity that is both sexy and endearing (swoon).

💜Their love story while sweet was also freaking explosive! The sexual chemistry, especially the pursuit, was deliciously sinful and erotic as hell 🔥

💜One of my favorite things about this book was surprisingly the secondary characters who immediately hooked me and had me craving to know more! For those who don't know me, this includes voraciously stalking the author and gorging myself on her series.

💜And if the book wasn't amazing enough, how cute and flirty is this cover??

So even though I found the main couple very irritating - this was a quick read that I would recommend to someone if they were looking for a light, funny, raunchy romance. I discovered that this was the third in a series after I had read it and you don't need to have read the other two to enjoy this title but I'm wondering if I would've liked it more if I had read them in succession. The male protagonist was a bit too alpha for my tastes but I can see why someone would think he was dreamy. This is also a first person narrative - which isn't my favorite - and weirdly doesn't help with the main character's flightiness. I can easily see folks loving this title - I just wasn't one of them.

I agree with the other reviewers that are in love with Ryder. He gets 5 stars for this book. It was bumped down to 4 stars because Gretchen wasn't my favorite female lead. I understood the reasons she protected her heart and I actually understand why she didn't trust Ryder, but I didn't like the way she went back and forth. As I'm writing this, I understand more and more why she was the way she was and it makes me realize this book is 4.5 out of 5, not just a 4. This is my first book by Melanie Munton and it makes me want to read more. I'm sure I'll go back and purchase the book prior to this one because that storyline sounds really unique! Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy of the book.

This was a quick, decent read. I liked Gretchen well-enough and totally get being closed off to anything serious.

I was only somewhat interested in Gretchen's relationship with Ryder. I wasn't fully sold on Ryder's voice. Something felt slightly off about how he spoke and I couldn't get into his dirty talk.

I honestly can't point out anything negative, but there's also nothing that's really standing out. It was all very fine.

After Gretchen spends an unforgettable night with a sexy stranger, she was surprised to find out that he is her new boss even if he refuses to acknowledge it. She is focused on her career and determined to excel at her job but her feisty personality makes her opinion clear what she thinks of him and his actions.

Ryder isn’t sure what he has done to upset Gretchen until he realizes a misunderstanding with his twin is the cause. He has feelings for her however until this point he had been willing to be patient but this becomes a game changer and that is when the hijinks really begins.

Gretchen has met her match when it comes to Ryder’s determination and charm. The interactions between them are humorous and hot and there is a great cast of secondary characters that enhance the story.

Melanie is a new author for me and one I'm adding to my list. Gretchen and Ryder are perfect for each other, so much flirting. This book is funny with some good life lessons thrown in for balance. Very entertaining with friend more like sisters.

Holy smokes! Ryder and Gretchen are snarky, have witty banter, great chemistry, and the story was funny.
Having the hottest night of hour life only to find out, later on, he's your new boss and doesn't remember a thing? Or maybe he's not the one you think.
An office romance with a twist, that had guarded characters, an alpha male, an independent h and secondary characters that tried to stir them into the right direction.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's the first book I've read by Melanie Munton and it leaves me looking for more about her work.
.
Her characters are so great. I actually fell in love with Gretchen, a leading women with her own perks and tastes, someone who smokes marijuana while having a glass of wine in her Greek bathtub to make up for a bad day, a Workaholic that loves her job, someone who can speak frankly with her friends without embellishing any words. I love good characters that leave you hooked on pages only to see their next reaction.
.
And the plot is great, Gretchen has been hating her boss for months, for not remembering their night stand, weeks before they started working together, only to discover that she did not sleep with him but with her twin brother.
.
I enjoyed very much this steamy RomCom and its characters that give it the perfect balance of humor and sweetness so that the story does not lose its axis and important issues goes work
.
Thank to Melanie Munton and Netgalley for give me this great book in exchange for my honest review

A workplace romance with a twist, The Mix-up is steamy, witty and a fun read! I finished this one quick, the writing easy to read and the characters likeable (for the most part). If you like Alpha men, lots of steamy, behind-closed-doors scenes and office romances, this one's for you!
.
After a passionate night in bed with a stranger, the last thing Gretchen expects is for him to be her new boss. And when he acts like they’ve never even met before, she’s furious. When she learns that her boss has an identical twin brother, a much nicer twin, things start making sense... Until she realizes she actually wishes that night had been with her boss.
.
At first I was really into this book but it went from 0-60 in about ten pages and I never completely got back on track. I’m not a huge fan of Insta-love (though one could argue that this is not an instant love situation, even the main character points out the emotional whiplash. I’m also really not a fan of alpha males. I don’t mind confident, strong male leads, of course, but there were a few over-the-top moments for me!
.
I considered not posting a review for this book because I didn’t love it, but I know there are plenty of readers who LOVE a good office romance with an alpha male lead!
