A Season of Change by Beth Wiseman is the 3rd An Amish Inn Novel. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading all three books in the sweet series. There is a great cast of characters. I love the sisters, Esther and Lizzie. They are entertaining and had me laughing. The secondary characters are just as developed. Rose is the latest helper at the bed and breakfast. She has not revealed her past and Rose chatters nonstop (at least it feels that way to Esther sometimes). I am glad that we get to learn more about Rose. Gus is his usual cantankerous self who loves to rile up Lizzie. I am glad that we got to catch up with Naomi and Amos plus their twins as well as Jayce and Evelyn. I found A Season of Change to be well-written with steady pacing. There are good life lessons in this story. It is never too late to find or give forgiveness. The other lesson is to always be yourself. The right person will come along who will love you just as you are. This was a novel that I did not want to rush through. I wanted to savor each moment. A Season of Change is a touching tale. You will need to have the tissue box nearby for the emotional ending. The epilogue was sweet. A Season of Change is an emotional Amish story with baseball bat combat, cat food feedings, a parent problem, flower reconnaissance, numerous naps, and a family of friends.

I enjoyed returning to The Peony Inn and seeing that the two sisters are still up to their matchmaking ways. They're a hoot! But sometimes they overstep. This time, they're distracted from their efforts for Rose when Esther receives a surprise gift. Is it from a secret admirer? Or a stalker?

There were heartbreaking and poignant moments in this book. Rose's past rises up and threatens her future. Gus, the curmudgeonly neighbor, and Lizzie are still going at it while Esther tries to bring out the better side of Gus that she knows is in there.

This is a story of pain and healing, forgiveness and redemption. It was a good reminder to embrace those you love and to deal with the hurtful things in your life so you can move on without the weight. I hope there's another book in the series. I would love to learn more about Lizzie and her past and to find out why she and Gus were so antagonistic towards each other.

In this book you really get a deeper look into the main characters (Rose, Lizzie, Esther, and Gus) of this book series. In this book one of them finds love and one of them is in a fight for their life. I cried so hard by the end of this book. I love these characters so much. I will keep reading this book series. She becomes acquainted with Benjamin, the shy new plumber in town. Will a chatterbox and shy person make a good match?
There is also a secondary story here. Esther received flowers from a mystery admirer. Did Grumpy Gus, their neighbor send them?
This book is for everyone who believes that live will find a way!

I really enjoyed this book is was so fun to read yet also go to the heart of the matter. I did not read the first two book in the series but you do catch up with some of the other characters from both books in this story. I really enjoyed the sisters Lizzie and Esther you never knew what was going to come out of there mouths or what they were going to do next, between them and Gus I felt like I was always laughing. I really liked Rose she has a heart of goal but trying to find where she fits in life and someone who will love her for who she is. Ben Was also struggling but he seem to just be stubborn and take things in stride. I feel like thought out the book is was a reminder to love ourselves for who God made us and others will come along to love us just the same. Over all this book was a fun read and was well worth it. It was also a clean read so suitable for all. I would totally recommend this book to anyone.

This book is the third in Beth Wiseman's "The Amish Inn" series , reconnecting readers with the Peony Inn and its quirky, humorous owners, Lizzie and Esther as well as the cranky old man, Gus and Rose, the young woman who is never short of words! What a delightful read!! This novel is Amish fiction at its best! Beth's unique style of storytelling grabs the reader and immediately pulls one into the lives of these dear folks allowing us to experience their adventures alongside them. The characters are so realistically and well described that one easily identifies with each of them.

The plot is fast moving with unexpected surprises constantly cropping up. I could not put this book down once I started to read!! Humor had me laughing out loud at times, while other situations had me near tears. The message of forgiveness and redemption comes through loud and clear throughout this story. I really enjoy Beth Wiseman's books. This is the third of her current series about matchmaking sisters who run a bed and breakfast. It can be read stand-alone, but the reader would benefit from getting to know the cast of amusing characters via the earlier books. This is definitely another winner! Although this is 'Amish' fiction, the characters seem universal, I am sure you know someone like each of them. The complexity of the personal issues and situations makes the reader think about their life and its challenges. Highly recommended.

This is the 3rd in the series of Lizzy and Esther as they run their inn from their home. Matchmaking again, as they set up their chatterbox Rose who tries to change. Grumpy Gus, who takes a vacation at the hospital to escape the heat, and a cast of characters from previous books. Can stand alone, but the stories are worth reading, and in order is usually best. I like the depth of the characters, and growth as well. Look forward to the next in the series, and obviously highly recommend this book and author.

A Season of Change was my first book by Beth Wiseman and a great book it was! I couldn’t put it down. It was number three in a series but, it did wonderfully as a stand alone. I didn’t realize it was part of a series when I started it. I want to go back and read books one and two although, I never felt lost or that I was missing anything reading this book out of order.

This book was like drinking water after a drought. It went down smooth and was refreshing. I just read a book that was a struggle so, I really enjoyed sitting back and relaxing with such a good book. Because it is an Amish romance, I knew there would be some talk of God but it wasn’t over the top or down your throat. Just a nice story that filled me up.

There were troubles and characters finding their way forward to a fruitful life. It was poignant, brought tears to my eyes and made me remember that no matter what we are loved! If you enjoy a clean love story which includes love among family and those that become family, you will most likely find yourself falling in love with this book.

Oh my. The matchmaking sisters are at it again. Esther and Lizzie just have to pair everyone up and it kept me laughing. Throw in a curmudgeon like Gus, and a chatterbox like Rose and this Amish novel by author Beth Wiseman is a delight.

And yet this story is not all fun and games, but has depth as we see Rose and Gus dealing with issues that will affect their entire lives. Wiseman delves into reasons why Rose is a chatterbox and it’s heartbreaking. And the way you see Gus will never be the same.

Along the way is a mystery or two as we try to figure out who Esther’s secret admirer is. And try to discover if Rose finds love or not.

A clean, heartwarming romance, I highly recommend it.

This is my third visit at the Peony Inn, and I love being reunited with old friends. This book does again focus on the sister's Lizzie and Esther, and Rose, aka Rose Petal, our resident helper, cook, and constant talker.

With this installment we are given some sweet, not smooth sailing, romance, a mystery of a secret admirer, and the loss of a loved one.

There are some chuckles, and some heart wrenching revelations, and then finding a way to forgiveness, and as with the other books in this series, I was quickly page turning for answers!

What a pleasure it was to return to the Peony Inn and reconnect with my delightful friends—matchmaking sisters Lizzie and Esther, chatty Rose, and endearing Grumpy Gus! This third installment of the Amish Inn series is my favorite of the three. Humor mixed with angst ran the gamut of my emotions with laugh-out-moments and teary-eyed ones. A quickly moving plot with surprising revelations and unexpected twists kept me wanting to know more. I was inspired by the message of forgiveness and redemption. I thoroughly enjoyed this touching, entertaining book and highly recommend it. I think you will enjoy this book and the series even if Amish fiction is not your go-to genre.

I loved this story. What a cute, Amish romance. Esther and Lizzie made me giggle, and Rose and Benjamin were the perfect match. Ms. Wiseman does an excellent job of sharing with us how it is never too late for forgiveness.

Esther and Lizzie are sisters which run an Amish Inn called the Peony Inn. The sisters are a hoot and they contrast each other in many different ways. The one thing that they enjoy doing is match making. Now that Rose is working for them, they are looking for opportunities. Rose left her own family and living with the sisters Rose has found a family with her new employers. Rose loves to talk. She has a nervous tick in speaking which comes from her past. The sisters have tried to match her with eligible bachelors however, the rambling speaking has turned some of these bachelors off. The sisters find a new family in town with a young man Benjamin who has struggled with conversation. A match made in heaven. Not so fast- Rose decides that talking to much and not listening enough is not working for her so she turns quiet on her first date with Benjamin. It becomes awkward until they kiss good night and the sparks fly. Rose and Benjamin have different feelings about their first date of awkwardness and the kiss that they cannot forget.

With humor from from the sisters, facing a hurtful past, Benjamin and Rose find a way to be themselves. I enjoyed the candor of Benjamin and Rose. Rose fighting a hurtful family that lead to her nervous chatter and ultimately learning to live in victory and not shame. It was a sweet romance with another romance that was underlying with Esther and their neighbor. It was humorous and touching. Many life lessons in romance in the battles that others wage in their hearts.

The relationships between the characters and how they were a family really came through in this book.
Lizzie is hilarious and she definitely needs Esther to keep her in line. I would love to add more but I don’t want to spoil this book for others.

Another delightful story that draws the reader in from page one with two elderly ladies who focus their matchmaking skills on Rose and Ben. Mix in a crotchety old neighbor and characters with a bunch of different personalities, and you get a book that takes you from one end of the spectrum of emotions to the other. This was a delightful read for me.

Beth Wiseman can always draw you into her books.
