I have been a fan of Rebecca’s work for a fair while now. I certainly haven’t read everything that she has released but I am getting there. I read the synopsis for ‘Escape To Honeysuckle Hall’ and it certainly sounded like the kind of book I have come to expect from Rebecca- a fun, light hearted, uplifting, romantic comedy. Well it was certainly all that and more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Escape To Honeysuckle Hall’ but more about that in a bit.
It took me no time at all to get into this book. As soon as I started to read, I immediately took to Orly and I started to consider her to be a friend. I had to keep reading to see if things worked out well for Orly and if those that upset her got their just deserts. At one point the pages were turning so quickly that it was almost as if they were turning themselves and the page numbers became a blur. I became so wrapped up in the story that I lost all track of time and when I looked to check how much I had read at once, I was staggered to realise that I had read 51% of the story in one go. I found ‘Escape To Honeysuckle Hall’ to be a fun and gripping read, which certainly left me with a smile on my face.
‘Escape To Honeysuckle Hall’ is extremely well written. Rebecca has one of those easy going writing styles that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. In fact reading one of Rebecca’s books feels more like a chat between friends rather than reading an actual book. I hope that makes sense. The story hits the ground running and maintains a fairly gentle pace throughout. In Orly, Rebecca has created a character who is impossible to dislike and the reader ends up wanting everything to work out for her. This book truly was a delight to read and did more to cheer me up than medication could have done.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Escape To Honeysuckle Hall’ and I would recommend it to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Rebecca’s work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

It is always such a joy to read Rebecca's books. This book had it all, a beautiful and heart-warming story, lovely and fun characters, a perfect amount of romance and even a dash of mystery. I deeply enjoyed reading it, the setting was awesome and I think the characters were some of the most memorable, not only Orly, but Esterlita too!
I definitely recommend it and I'd definitely go to Orly's Camp.

A happy, easy to read summer read! Perfect for a sunny day in the garden. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and wouldn't mind a trip to Honeysuckle Hall myself! Rebecca has a fabulous style of writing and this book was a pleasure to read.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it's such a fun and happy read. A perfect lighthearted and feel-good escapism.
The characters are described so well that I could imagine them perfectly. Orly, Leo, Maya and Es were all likeable characters. I think that there could definitely be a follow-up as I would love to know more about Maya. It would be great to find out more about the future guests.
The description of Honeysuckle Hall were very detailed and it sounds idyllic. Rebecca Raisin makes it sound so appealing that I wanted to stay there. In reality I would normally hate a camp style break, especially a group one. It is not the type of thing that I would like. She made it sound so good that if it was a real place I would have been tempted to book a stay there.
This is such an enjoyable and entertaining read. I hope that there is another Honeysuckle Hall book.

Would you give up a celebrity lifestyle to up sticks and set up a wellness retreat in the country? That's what Orly does in Escape to Honeysuckle Hall and it makes for a refreshing twist on a classic chick-lit romance.

Orly has had enough of catering to celebrity's whims, and after an embarrassing episode with her now ex-boyfriend, she decides on a complete career change. Honeysuckle Hall is unloved, and possibly haunted, and Orly doesn't receive a friendly welcome by the locals. But that doesn't deter her, and she is soon pressing on with her plans, assisted by lovely Leo the carpenter.

Escape to Honeysuckle Hall is a really enjoyable read, with a great 'girl power' theme running through it.

Orly is disillusioned with her life in London catering to the every whim of vacuous people with her concierge company. On a whim she buys Honeysuckle Hall to renovate and relaunch.

This is a nice easy summertime read. Very enjoyable.

Orly has a high flying job providing services to those who are prepared to pay for the perfect experience - the perfect proposal, the perfect weekend away, anything that money can buy. Her other 3 business partners seem to allow her to do all the work, When she finds out her boyfriend and business partner has gone off with a celebrity, she decides to throw in the towel and move to a large country house and open it as a wellbeing centre.

The locals are not keen though and notes keep appearing telling her to leave things alone. On her first night she is surprised by her quirky neighbour Esperita who ensures life is not dull!

A good tale and worth a read.

Great characters and full of humour.
Orly has been dumped by her boyfriend for a celebrity, both worked for an events company for the rich, so she leaves the company to follow her dreams of owning a large country house and opening it as a retreat, but not for the rich.
On arriving at the house she meets Esperlita (The Firecracker) who barges in and befriends Orly and life becomes colourful.
Of course along comes a hunky carpenter and more friendships are made along with the people who come along to the retreat.
A lovely story along the way.

Really enjoyed this book it had me hooked from the very beginning with the grand proposal. A story of friendship and romance it follows the main character, Orly, through a major change in her life and career.
There was some laugh out loud moments but also some twists that I didn’t see coming. A nice easy holiday read.

This was a lovely charmer of a book. I've never read anything by Rebecca Raisin before but I'm not sure why as this was definitely what I look for when I want a nice easy read so I'll be looking out for her other books now.
This explores the story of Orly who after being unceremoniously dumped by her high flying fiancé who leaves her for a pop star, decides on a tequila induced whim to buy Honeysuckle Hall and turn it into a wellbeing camp. We meet lots of interesting characters throughout the book, my favourite being Esterlita, a loud and exuberant Filipino lady who takes Orly under her wing and of course the carpenter Leo.
This did have the usual predictability on the romance side of the story but it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the book and there were a couple of little twists that piqued my interest.

I would recommend this if you are looking for a nice easy summer read.

This book starts off as a totally different story with workaholic high flyer Orly who is dumped by her high maintenance boyfriend and makes an impulse decision to buy an old hall to renovate and open up camps. I preferred the first part of the book to the second as they felt completely different. I couldn't see the characters make the decisions they did in the second half, and it seemed to be two different plots combined. It also felt a bit rushed, and I wasn’t keen on the camper story.

A cracking read! Just what I needed: heartbreak, property development, romance and friendship. Everyone needs an Esterlita in their life!

I started this book thinking that I wasn’t going to like it very much but, I persevered with it and ended up enjoying it on the whole. Some of it was a little predictable and boring which is why I’m only giving it four stars which is still generous. It wasn’t what I was expecting. When Orly has had enough of her stressful life in London she decides to relocate to the countryside and set up an adventure camp for adults suffering from burn out. There is of course some romance in this book but my favourite part is her friendship with her eccentric neighbour Esterlita. This is a feel good summer story and I would love to find out more about the adventures of the characters in this book as I feel the main characters all still have further stories to tell.

What a completely fabulous book this is! I was entranced by the characters, the setting and the plot and was almost unable to out it down I was enjoying it so much.

Orly is a high powered executive of a Celebrity make dreams come true company, lining in London and working ridiculous hours. When her boyfriend deserts her for an online celeb client, she has a serious rethink and moves to the country for a complete change. She buys and renovates Honeysuckle Hall with the help of hunky carpenter Leo, mad Philippine neighbour Lita and her BFF Maya, who flits between performing heart surgery in the capital and dishing out relationship and business advice in the country to Orly.

I loved the idea of the country adventure camps that Orly sets up. I would absolutely book up for that! They were so well described that I could imagine myself there with the other guests. The story was well written and imaginative with some romance but nothing too sugary or unrealistic which certainly maintains the readers interest. Lita is a super charismatic character and a fun addition to the cast of characters and an interesting part with her at the end is a superb twist and adds more depth to the story of Honeysuckle House.

A great book to read outside in the sunshine or at home in the rain, a definite recommendation from me.

Fast-paced, very funny, with great characters whose witty repartee never disguises their true emotional core, and a hint of mystery that might scupper Orly's plans, this was a truly feel-good read.

Hilarious laugh out loud modern fairy tale. This book has it all!! Celebrity, escapism, love and friendships.
Orly is juggling everything in her life, taking on too many responsibilities, and taking the brunt for her team. London life is beginning to lose its appeal and her dream of living in the country looks like a possible life saver!
Light entertainment, easy reading, a fab book to read this summer!! Loved the characters, they made me smile!!

Didn't like the start of this book but it did redeem itself somewhat. Some of the characters were more interesting than the main one and I would have preferred to hear more about them.

Struggled to get into this and gave up at 25% as I found the plot and characters rather silly and frustrating.

Giving this 2 stars as under different circumstances I think I would’ve persevered and may have enjoyed it more.
