Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

This is a book full of beautiful art and I love the style. It was lovely to look through to see all the different pieces, however it was very awkward to view on kindle as the book didn't seem to orientate itself.
Thankyou net galley for allowing me to see the work of this talented artist

The book 'All The Colours Of Life' by Lisa Aisaton doesn’t just tell or narrate the poetry of life, instead shows it graphically in all its varied colours. The story of life is told directly in your face in a matter of fact manner. With that I mean, the book holds a mirror before you and shows you the various stages of your life — childhood, adolescence, youth, family, old age, bringing up the next generation, living the life all over again through your children or may be grand-children, witnessing them doing the very same things that you used to do in a slightly different manner. For example, looking at an argument you had with your parents in your childhood in retrospection later in life but this time from the perspective of your parents. This is the outline of the book; however, the book is much more than that. Every stage of life is depicted with an appropriate and accurate illustration. A very short sentence complements the non-verbal ‘narrative’.

Youth going through this book would easily identify with the journey they have travelled so far and as depicted in these pages. At the same time, they will also understand what more to expect in the coming years of their lives. People in the evening of their lives will get an opportunity to relive their whole life all over again, recalling the different stages and moments of their lives, thus appreciating the colourful painting called ‘life’ in all its shades.

This book can have two major applications. First, you can try it yourself. In your leisure or free time or when you are in a pensive or contemplative mood, you can leaf through its pages. It would offer a spring board or a prompt to take the first few steps in your recollections. After that you can simply unleash your memory and let it fly in the vast sky of past. Else you can gift it to somebody who will use it in the same aforementioned manner. This book will never lose its charm and will never grow old. If you are exploring what to gift someone on their forthcoming birthday, then this picture book is a good option.

Astonishing artwork throughout the book and lovely message. This book should grace every library and is highly recommended for children. As an adult reader I was moved by the intricate illustrations and the gravity of their meaning.

It was difficult to read digitally as the pages were split but the artwork is stunning nonetheless. I love that the graphic images are quirky and surreal but definitely recognizable. The visual story is easy to follow. A beautiful book but I would definitely recommend the actual book vs digital copy.

This book maybe one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I literally want to take every single picture and frame them and hang them on my wall. It amazes me the artist's capabilities to express the emotion that's happening in the faces of these characters that are somehow us and not us all at the same time. It is extremely hard for me to pick what is better in this book between the art and the writing. They meld together perfectly, this book is so meaningful. I also feel like for the most part, It can be meaningful for a child and for and adult. (And everything in between) It's rare for a book to span the ages of appreciation like that. I actually teared up all the way through this book because it rings so true in a beautiful way that highlights both the beauty and the pain of life. From the minute I opened up to the first page, I knew how special it was. And that is saying a lot because the file had downloaded incorrectly the first time and literally all of the pages have been cut and half and scattered throughout the book. But with little information I still knew. Once I got it to download correctly, Halfway through the book I was already thinking about all the people I wanted to purchase this book for. How meaningful it is. How true. How truly special. It does not matter who you are, this book will strike a chord. I can promise you that. There is no doubt whatsoever that I will buy many copies of this book for myself and others. But I'm getting the first one. 🤣

Thank you #netgalley for allowing me the chance to read this absolutely stunning work of art. It could not have possibly been better than it is. I have a new favorite artist.

All The Colors of Life by Lisa Aisato was a quick, part art book, part gift book. Full of encouraging and wise words and artwork that was at turns uniquely moving, heartfelt, and sometimes even funny, she moves through the stages of life from childhood to adulthood and beyond. I enjoyed this little foray into something I don't normally read.

WOW

The art in this was so beautiful. Like every single page was something else, never failed!!!

The words were so simple but still very effective. There were times when I would reflect and just think "yup :)" and other times I would think "yup :'(" (if you know what I mean??)

I definitely wan to buy a hard copy of this because it was both aesthetically pleasing but also it made me reflect a lot on life in general.

Aesthetically pleasing with vivid imagery that is accompanied by absolute truths of the wonders of life.

I had the pleasure of receiving an advanced physical copy of this book. To say I was stunned by the beauty is an understatement. My 8 year old and I read this together.

Take in the vibrant colors and incredibly soul pulling illustrations while wiping your tears produced from the beautiful words. You can feel the ups and downs of life as though strings being thrummed.

Not a book to shelve but kept on the “coffee table” for all who visit!

Thank you to Arctis Books for the beautiful review copy.

It's a beautiful book. Entire life presented through paintings, from the very beginning to the very end. A painting for every possible stage of one's life, and those paintings were so mesmerizing, the uniqueness, blend of colors, were so interesting to witness.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

All the Colors of Life is a stunningly beautiful book of art portraying the stages of life from childhood to adolescence and to old age. Each piece of art is accompanied by a line or two of text on the opposite page and reads poetically.
The art in this book is absolutely amazing and so very relatable. I definitely recommend this book to all - there's something in it for everyone growing older in life.

OMG, how wonderful this book is! The human life in various seasons of life, illustrated with beaitiful watercolor paintings, describing the joys and sorrows the human experiences during the lifetime. Moving, funny, grotesque, absolutely fascinating, highly recommended.

This is an adult picture book with illustrations and short poems by Lisa Aisato. After a few pages, the reader will notice that the earlier pages are about the experiences of being a child, and then subsequent pages show the consecutive stages of human life. The lighter colors and whimsy of the childhood illustrations are gradually replaced by deeper and darker artwork and poetry as the book moves forward. I didn't love every illustration or poem (didn't grasp the artist's/poet's meaning) but with over 100 pages, there's a lot to love and this book would make a wonderful gift for the right recipient.

It feels like life has been artistically spilled on the pages and words have capture human emotions so well. I was amazed by the beauty and detailing throughout the book. I'm definitely a fan of Lisa Aisato.

I wouldn't set an age bar for readers here, everyone can enjoy the content of All the colours of life. It's a must have!

Oh man. Oh man, this made me cry. I was not expecting this book at all. I picked it because the cover was really pretty. I was not anticipating the FEELS. It’s a long form illustrated book that contemplates the long winding road of life. That’s the best way I can describe it. Just give it a chance. Seriously. You won’t regret it.
