It's not an easy task to be the son of the highest Mob member in town, not wanting to get mixed in his father's business, and trying to discover who killed his mom, All Dr. Carlotti wanted was to lead a normal family life, but due to his origins, that is not possible, and all of sudden he gets mixed in a world of intrigue, and crime. It's a thoroughly enjoyable reading!
I thank the author, his publisher, and NetGalley for the copy of this book.

Carlotti is a mix of mafia, mystery, thriller, and a whole lot of Christianity. Nick is the good member of the Carlotti family, a doctor who steers clear of all that normally goes with being a member of a Mafia family. He also stepped away from church once he graduated from high school. His father Rock and brother Eddie are deep into the drug trade. Above all that is Nick's mother, a wonderful individual and author. Liza dies in a suspicious accident that has Nick looking for answers never believing it was from her losing control of her car while driving at a high speed. He touches base with the police and a member named Rawls. He is also suspicious of a Senator Lloyd Mays who he does not like for all the work he has down trying to take down the Carlotti family when he discovers a meeting between Mays and his mother on the night of her death. Also involved in looking into his mother's death is his close friend Steve and fellow doctor Danielle, both very strong in their belief and willing to help Nick find his way. The story is a good one but any reader should be aware of the very deep thread of the Lord, Jesus, religion, good Christians, and their beliefs throughout the novel..

A good traditional mob who-dunnit. Nick is a likable character who makes some questionable choices. A man’s love for his mother is represented really well. Really enjoyable, although could do with one more edit for typos

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, this book took so many twist and turns, it was fast paced murder mystery with mafia included. It’s normally not my type of book but I enjoyed it a lot! If this is the type of books you read you should definitely give it a go!

The only thing that I didn’t like is the author typed “Columbia” instead of “Colombia” for the country but besides that everything else was good

Great mix of action, conspiracy, romance, faith, and family. Dr. Nick Carlotti is searching for answers. Who killed his mom? Why do good people suffer? Having a father who is head of the Philadelphia mob only complicates matters.
