When I read the book, it was totally not what I thought. Some of the poems, I can see why he named the book. The poems are the sites and peaks. They are beautiful and majestic. Great book beautiful poetry and its totally different from the title.

I appreciated the scope of this book but the style was not for me. I personally do not prefer rhyming in poems. I prefer a different rhythm than Cragg's style. If you enjoy rhymes, then you may enjoy this book.

This is a fantastic collection of expressive poetry. I really enjoyed reading each and every poem. I love this type of poetry where you can feel the authors passion and feel each poem. Tbh I really couldn't pick which poem my my favourite they were all equally as good. It took me on such a wonderful journey reading it. I can't really comment on the layout of the book as I read it on my kindle where each poem just flowed seamlessly into the next. For that last star I would of loved to see just a couple of pictures to go with some of the poems for that extra sense and depth to the words but maybe I am being a little picky. I always say to readers to try out a sample of the poetry to see if you will love it just as much as I did. As we all know poetry is so personal. What one loves another my hate. So give this book a try. I must mention how I loved the start of the book with the insight into the authors life and thought process before the poetry that was a great way to set the scene. Also the cover is so thought provoking a brilliant choice.

Many thanks to the author and publishing team for bringing together this wonderful collection of emotive and very thought provoking poetry for us all to enjoy.

When I saw this title on the book, I felt like I had to read it. This book "chose" me to read it and I felt totally honored to have read this book. Initially I thought the book was about about beautiful, majestic !ountains. Then I read the title again, then I thought, meeting goals. My mother always said to achieve goals you gotta climb the highest mountain, when you reach the peak you have succeeded in whatever you were trying to do. Now spires is the tallest part of the church, achieve smaller goals. When I read the bpok, it was totally not what I thought. Some of the poems ,I can see why he named the book. The poems are the sites and peaks. They are beautiful and majestic. Great book beautiful poetry and its totally different from the title.

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

I am certain that there is an audience for a book like this. However, I don’t think that audience is me, nor is it that many of us who read contemporary poetry. The perfect rhymes, the sing songy rhythm, the pedestrian insights: these poems just aren’t for me. That said, I imagine that someone could find enjoyment in them.

This collection of poetry is rather simplistic and straight-forward. It covers a wide range of the author's experiences, from his time in Oxford and Southern England to more recently in the United States. While it may be useful for some student who would be easily able to identify the themes and the author's meaning, the poetry itself did not really resonate with me and I could not discern much in the way of profound message or deeper meaning.

Poet Cragg is at his best when writing on relationships. You can savor each of his poems that come with a bonus structure too ie formal poetry.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this was a charming poetry collection. Not the strongest writing I've ever encountered, but the lack of pretension was refreshing.

This was a moving book of poetry. Since this was listed as a travel book, I was expecting it to be organized geographically but the poetry seemed to flow more freely between places than that. I was also expecting it to be more place focused but it was an interesting mix of what the author was experiencing in the places he wrote. The poetry itself has a more old fashioned and formal tone than much of what is being published now, so it is well suited to people who enjoy more traditional poets.
