This is a very entertaining series, with likable characters, amusing banter and exciting adventure. Nash Harris has left the Marines and come home to Miami, and started working at Red Stone Security, where he fits right in. He is also happy to back in Miami because his father is there as is his best female friend, Ivy Danger. He has know Ivy forever, as she is one of his best friend's baby sisters. But she is no baby any more. She has an interesting career as an art retriever, but the traveling has gotten old and she would like to settle back in Miami, but needs to do one last well paying job, to save the animal shelter that she inherited from her aunt. When Nash sees she is back in town, he takes some overdue vacation time to help her out on this case. But neither thought it would end up with their lives on the line. Spending this much time together, each realizes that they want to be more than just friends, but both are too afraid to risk their friendship and too scared to tell the other how they really feel. So it is a best friend's sister, friends to lovers, suspenseful romance, with lots of humor. Fun.

I read an ARC that I received from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I was so glad when I learned that Katie was returning to this awesome series because truly the folks of Red Stone and surrounding them are beyond interesting and always provide a great read for us. This has taken us into the story of many side characters that have been on the fringes of previous stories, but this newest installment returns to the core team with Nash and Ivy and the drama and danger inherent to Red Stone. Ivy has worked hard to differentiate herself from her kickass family and has found her niche in the world, but its time for her to find a new place. She needs one last big payout from her job in order to save the animal shelter that’s her aunt and she both love and allow for that retirement, but she needs help from the one man she wishes she didn’t have to ask. Nash has watched Icy grow into a beautiful and capable woman, never understanding her family’s need to hide her under their protections but their friendship has always been platonic despite his desire otherwise. When their relationship quickly escalates as they work together Ivy and Nash both come to realize that they have been hiding their feelings for one another and the time for them to be together is now. But danger is stalking Ivy and there is no way they can find their happy ending until they conquer it and solve Ivy’s case. I really enjoyed seeing Ivy in her element, fighting to prove that she is just as capable as her brother, even though Nash never seemed to doubt her, and she is obviously a dangerous woman in her own right. She was sweetly oblivious to the attraction between her and Nash in the beginning but once the blinder were off the passion there was undeniably hot, not to mention something that will keep them happily together for a long time. Nash has loved Ivy from afar for a long time, even when he denies it to himself, but he never hid the fact that he trusted, respected, and cared for her deeply, even when it put him at a disadvantage, making him the perfect strong alpha male. The two of them were a beautiful match and I loved seeing them work together to defeat the villains and find their way to peace and happiness. Katie has a way of ripping through the clutter in her characters lives to make them understand that nothing is more important than love and Saving Danger is no exception to that rule. I cannot wait for whatever comes next and am dying to see more RSS folks lose their hearts.

I love Katie Reus's books and honestly she can do no wrong. That being said, this particular book just wasn't one of my favorites. The writing is solid and what I did love was the character development and interactions. Ivy is a strong and capable woman and Nash is pretty dreamy, but the plot just wasn't a page turner for me. This was a good read...it just wasn't a great read for me. As always though, I can't wait to read the next book by Katie. They are all excellent and are automatic purchases--with no regrets ever.

Ivy retrieves stolen art and she is good at it! She finds herself back in her hometown chasing down 3 brothers who stole a painting back in Europe. While waiting for information from one of her sources she contact's Nash a friend of hers that she has been in texting and meeting up with over the years. They both of this "thing" going that neither has really addressed but Nash has decided that this is the perfect time to pursue it. Only problem is Ivy's family does not know she is back and how really dangerous her job really is, nor do they know about Ivy and Nash connection.

This is the first book I've read in this series and it worked great as a stand-alone. I'm definitely excited to read the rest of the series, starting at book one.
This book had everything; romance, a kick-ass hero and heroine, and a great cast of side characters. The fake relationship is one of my favourite tropes and it was pulled off excellently here. I also loved the hilarious moments involving Ivy's overprotective brothers.
This was a fast-paced, easy read.

Ms. Reus never fails to delight the senses. Good characters in the story and a wonderful plotline. The suspense parts of the book were excellent.

Saving Danger is fun and fast-paced with a good dash of steam. I am a super huge fan of fake dating and brother's best friend troupes, so I couldn't help but snap this one up.

Ivy Danger is an art retrieval expert and gets a huge contract that could help her pay off the mortgage on her vet clinic. The caveat is that this big job pays a lot more because its more dangerous due to the fact the theft ended in the murder. Nash, the bespoke brother's best friend, works for Red Stone Security and Ivy calls him in to help with some backup. It also doesn't hurt that she has been into him for a while now. He’s been secretly in love with her for years and just wants to keep her safe. Enter serious international thieves, a crazy woman, drug dealers, and add in years of pent-up sexual frustration, and boom!

I have a huge love for strong female characters. Ivy is no wilting flower, she is strong and knows how to protect herself, but she also knows when to ask for help, which is always a good thing. Nash is a fairly typical alpha male with the skills to back it up but he was also sweet and caring when it came to Ivy.

The suspense/mystery plot makes for a fairly face-paced read and a lot of action that I felt was pretty entertaining. The relationship between Ivy and Nash was already well-established and so their feelings and actions were well developed and their chemistry was also fun to read.

The book can be read as a stand-alone. I did feel like I was missing a lot of other characters cross-referencing but not so much that I didn't understand a big portion of what was going on or anything.

Overall, Saving Danger was a pretty fun read, I look forward to reading more of the series.

It is full of action, suspense and romance . It's well written and the characters are unique and interesting . Art Retrieval expert Ivy Danger has had hidden feelings for her best friend Red Stone Security specialist Nash Harris
Nash has had feelings for Ivy . He's held himself in check for long enough . When Ivus next retrieval brings her home Nash steps in to assist her . This retrieval has murder attached .
Will Nash and Ivy's relationship make it or break it . Ivy has fought her feelings long enough . As danger mounts Ivy stops fighting it . If they survive maybe they can get a happy ending . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Be prepared for a slow burn love story full of suspense, action, and even humor. Nash and Ivy heat up your E reader pages as they slowly take their friendship to the next level. Ivy is ready for a change, but first she needs to finish one more job. When it brings her home to Miami she meets up with Nash for one of their usual dinners, as friends. Running into her brother wasn’t part of the plan and Nash’s cover story changes the rules for their relationship, whether it is true or not.

What follows is a case like none Ivy has had before. She will realize it’s is one to have some help once in awhile, and both Nash and Ivy will learn how well they can work together on the job, and off. Readers should prepare for an amazing story that you will not want to put down until the final page.

Saving Danger is the Book 17 in the Red Stone Security series by Katie Reus. This book can be read as a standalone should you wish, although it would be better if you read the previous books for a greater reading experience. Interesting enough plot to keep me engaged, a solid and established world-building that Katie Reus is really good for with great characters. Will most definitely check out the next book in this series.

It wasn't until the end of this book that I realized that Ivy's animal shelter is the same shelter where Mila works (from Secret Enemy). After Lethal Game in 2017 the Red Stone Security series was supposed to be done. But fortunately Katie has decided to add more books to the series.

And although there are some similarities with Saving Sienna, it was another treat. Ivy is a force on her own. Wanting to proof to her big brothers that her profession of art retrieval expert is a serious business, she doesn't shy away from dangerous cases. Her latest case however, seems to be more dangerous than ever. So, when her brother's best friend Nash offers to help her with the case, she gladly accepts the hot cop's help. Secretly Ivy has always had a crush on Nash, but he has kept her at a respectable distance. Honoring the 'bro-code', Nash has always seen Ivy as off limits: you don't mess with your friends little sister. But Ivy isn't so little anymore... And Nash really likes her. So, when Ivy needs a cover, Nash volunteers to act as her boyfriend. But while faking a relationship, the lines start to blur. Because both Ivy and Nash realizes that they both really, really, like each other. But when bodies start piling, they first need to solve this case, before they can explore their relationship. Fast paced, with unexpected twists and turns, Katie keeps you entertained from beginning to end. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. And now awaiting the 18th installment of the Red Stone Security series.

Having spent her whole life trying to prove she’s just as capable as her three older brothers, art retrieval expert Ivy Danger has landed the biggest gig of her career, one that will pay off the mortgage of the animal shelter she owns. That is, if she doesn’t die before finishing the job. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Katie Reus is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books. Can't wait for the next book.

The story was a little slower in the action than what Katie usually provides her readers with. It contained many of the Red Stone security personal that readers have come to enjoy. Ivy is trying to get the painting back that a band of thieves stole in Europe. She sneaks back to her home town in Florida - but wishes to keep her family in the dark about her being back in town. She haws felt that her older brother have always thought she was incapable taking care of herself. Ivy just wants to finish this last job and pay off the animals shelter mortgage her aunt left her.

Nash has known the family and has been kept in the brotherly role towards Ivy. - due to to his friendship with her brother. Nash had run from his feelings, and joined the Marines (did two tours of duty) to keep his feeling in tact about Ivy. Nash has just joined the Red Stone security detail and his first job with a high profile client. He requests two weeks off to help Ivy do her job. / protect Ivy from the dangerous thieves..

Nash and Ivy have always kept in touch with each other through all his tours in the Marines. Little due either one of them suspect that the other has deep feelings for the other. They each must fight their desire for the each other while working this recoupment job. Each of them call in favors from their contacts to obtain . capture the thieves. Ivy and Nash have some fun spy toys they engage with to view / apprehend the thieves with.

I don't want to give the ending away - it is a happy ending through and they do capture the thieves.

This was really good! It's the seventeenth book in the series and can be read as a standalone, however the series is great and if you've read the previous books then you'll get a lot more enjoyment from this one.
The protagonists are Nash Harris (an employee of Red Stone Security and all around bad ass!) and Ivey Danger (an art retrieval specialist and owner of an animal shelter) whose romance is complicated by the fact that they’ve known each other for years and he is the best friend of her insanely overprotective brothers!

Ivey returns to her hometown of Miami in order to complete a job that could pay off the mortgage on her shelter and enable her to retire from the art retrieval business. The only catch is that the people stole it previously are psychotic murderers! This is where Nath enters the picture and the story really takes off!

As always the writing was faultless and the plot kept me eagerly turning the pages. I have my fingers crossed that Reus will tell the stories of Ivey’s brothers next. Highly recommended!
