Received this as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest opinion.

SAVING DANGER is the seventeenth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult RED STONE SECURITY (RSS) romantic suspense series
This is former US Marine, security expert Nash Harris, and art retrieval specialist Ivy Danger’s story line. SAVING DANGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Saving Danger blends a brother's best friend trope. Nash has always had a thing for Ivy, and Ivy has always had a thing for Nash. Ivy is a strong woman and tough investigator, She's also recently started building a relationship with one of her brother's best friends - Nash.
I loved that Nash was perhaps not happy, but was still willing to follow Ivy’s lead and respected her abilities in the field to the extent that he stood up to her brothers for their slightly derogatory behaviour.
This wasn't an insta-love story, it truly felt like they grew into what their relationship. SAVING DANGER is a fast paced, suspenseful and intriguing story line with strong, flirty and spirited characters;

I really enjoyed reading this and didn’t want to put it down as it was a page turner. Highly recommend reading it if you like suspense romance friends to lovers story.

Ivy's work recovering stolen paintings is dangerous and she is thinking about leaving. Nash has wanted her for years, but respects her family and her work. But when her work requires some assistance from him, he is happy to pretend they are dating so her family won't know how dangerous her job can be.

A strong, smart female and a brother's best friend trope along with a dose of suspense makes this another successful Reus book. Finding fast paced, engrossing reads with a very appealing couple is not easy with all the distractions these days, but this is one. If you like Lisa Renee Jones and Julie Garwood, you'll enjoy the Red Stone series.

Saving Danger is the seventeenth book in the Red Stone Security series. What I really like about this series is you can pick up any book and be able to follow along without feeling like you are missing something. This was Ivy and Nash’s story, and it caught my attention from the beginning. It was packed full of action, mystery, and a formidable heroine. Nash and Ivy made a great couple and worked so well together. I liked how Nash stood up for her with her family and supported her job even though he was scared for her to continue. Ivy was fearless but still able to acknowledge she needed help on this last case. I was so glad to finally see them communicating with each other regarding their feelings. I was cheering them on the entire book. This was another hit for the author, and I can’t wait to see future books in the series.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ivy is hoping that the successful recovery of the stolen artwork that she has been contracted by an insurance company to find will allow her to move back to her hometown and pursue her true passion which is managing the animal shelter that her aunt started. Her search leads her back to Miami where she runs into her Nash, the man she has always been attracted to and her brother’s best friend, who is more than willing to help.

Nash’s background in security makes him the perfect partner for Ivy’s investigation but he has his own agenda as well. He has had feelings for her for as long as he can remember, and he isn’t about to let her pursue this alone and he is determined to show her that they make the perfect partners both personally and professionally.

Nash and Ivy take us on an intriguing, suspenseful and romantic adventure as they realize that the most important thing they found was each other.

SAVING DANGER is the seventeenth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult RED STONE SECURITY (RSS) romantic suspense series. This is former US Marine, security expert Nash Harris, and art retrieval specialist Ivy Danger’s story line. SAVING DANGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed necessary.

Told from third person perspective SAVING DANGER follows the best friend’s sister relationship between security expert Nash Harris, and art retrieval specialist Ivy Danger. Ivy Danger’s latest assignment involves the retrieval of a priceless piece of stolen art but the thieves killed their last mark, and the hunt is on for the people involved. Hoping to avoid her family, only in town until her work is done, Ivy comes face to face with her brother’s best friend, Nash Harris, the man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine. Taking some time off from his position at Red Stone Security, Nash partners with Ivy in an effort to recover the art, and take down a killer, who is about to set their sights on Ivy and Nash. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Ivy and Nash, and the potential fall-out as Ivy’s family and friends have been targeted, and Nash refuses to back down from protecting the woman with whom he is falling in love.

Ivy Danger is a strong, independent, take no prisoners kind of heroine but her latest assignment finds Ivy a little deeper than she could have ever imagined. Trying desperately to avoid her family, Ivy struggles with her attraction to Nash, an attraction that could backfire when Nash is placed in the direct line of fire. Nash Harris has been attracted to Ivy for as long as he can remember but Ivy’s job keeps her busy, and Nash refuses to cross the line with his best friend’s little sister but when Nash discovers the potential danger of Ivy’s latest assignment, our hero refuses to back down, placing himself in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

The colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters include Ivy’s siblings: Sebastian and Maika, Ezra and Jordan, as well as their mother; fellow security specialist Juan, and several members at RSS; bakery owner Angel, Ivy’s best friend and art collector Genesis. There is definitely something developing between Juan and Angel. The requisite evil has many faces. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Ivy’s brothers.

SAVING DANGER is a fast paced, suspenseful and intriguing story line. The premise is edgy ; the characters are strong, flirty and spirited; the romance is seductive-the sexual tension is palpable.

Ivy has a tough job. She retries stolen items for an insurance company. She ends up following her latest set of thieves to her hometown. This group is more danger than she’s seen. When her brothers best friend takes off work to help her, her long time crush on him is running high. What she doesn’t know is that he reciprocates her feelings.
Opinion
This is a fun book filled with love and danger. While I haven’t read all 17 books in this series, I have read some and have thoroughly enjoyed every one down to the last page. This book is a win for action packed romance.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Saving Danger delivers an art heist with some serious danger involved. I loved Ivy's job as an art retrieval specialist. What an interesting profession. But, her passion is the animal shelter and that made me love her even more.

Saving Danger blends a brother's best friend trope among the secrets and danger. Nash has always had a thing for Ivy, and Ivy has always had a thing for Nash. But, Ivy travels for work, and neither feels that they could make a move because of the brother. But, when Ivy gets involved in a very dangerous retrieval, Nash is not going to let her go it alone. Then the story twists to a fake relationship trope! I really enjoyed it because the characters are likable and the story is really captivating.

Fans of romantic suspense will enjoy Saving Danger and it can be a quick binge read. I love this series and Saving Danger was another winner for me.

Katie Reus is so talented at writing romantic suspense that feels just as much romantic as it does suspenseful. So much of that subgenre of romance focuses so much on the suspense part that the romance feels like an afterthought. Here - the romance is front and center. Ivy is a strong woman and tough investigator. She's the younger sister of some very protective brothers and has pretty much had to strike out on her own to be seen as an individual - not just the little sister. She's also recently started building a relationship with one of her brother's best friends - Nash. For Nash - Ivy has always been an attraction - but recently he's wanted to go there with her. Nash sees Ivy as an individual - not just an extension of her family.

The dangerous aspect of the story was just - ok for me - I was definitely more interested in the romance side of things. I did like that Nash wasn't a total caveman about Ivy. That he recognized she could take care of herself - but that he wanted to be there as backup. I also loved that he supported her in front of her family - even against her brothers.

Overall - another great read from Katie Reus!

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

So, while this isn't the first I have read by this author, it was my first of the series. Now, this is a standalone, but I found myself wondering about people mentioned that have probably had their own books or their characters have been fleshed out in previous books.
So this is Ivy and Nash's story. Ivy is a retrieval expert and Nash works for Red Stone Security. it's a real friends to lovers story. Nash is the best friend of Ivy's older brother, but is also Ivy's friend too.
A really good story. I want to read the others.

This was my first Reus novel and it didn’t disappoint. I’m a total romantic suspense junkie and was really looking forward to discovering a new author in my favourite genre.

PLOT:

Ivy is a stolen arts retrieval specialist who needs to complete one more job to finally pay off the mortgage of her deceased aunt’s animal shelter. It has been her dream forever and she’s willing to accept a potentially deadly assignment to get the money.

Nash, our hero, is a Red Stone Security employee and Ivy’s brother’s best friend. He has been in love with Ivy ever since he can remember and is willing to risk everything to help her when he finds out what her latest assignment is.

As the MCs race against time to capture a priceless art, their feelings for each other cannot be kept a secret and a hot adventure awaits.

What I loved:

- Ivy. She is badass and strong. An alpha heroine that you can’t help but root for. She knows what she’s doing and she’s good at it.
- Nash. He is the perfect hero and is everything that Ivy needs. She is one lucky woman.
- Genesis. She was a strong side character and id love to know more about her and Bruno!
- The family. Ivy had a big family who adore her and the little glimpse we get makes you love them all.

What I didn’t love:

- Connections. Ivy conveniently has lots of connections who owe her favours. This made the plot seem too easy and just a little too convenient. There really wasn’t much suspense and I was never really worried for any character’s safety.

-Juan and Angel. Yes, they are lovely and cute but I’m not sure why we needed their story? It wasn’t really adding much to the key plot.

- Side characters. I know this is a book in a big series and others would love getting glimpses of previous MCs, but as a first time reader, there were too many names being dropped without further development. Again, I’m not sure about the purpose.

Overall, I enjoyed this story. It was an easy and quick read with likeable characters. It didn’t keep me at the edge of my seat or worry for the MCs, but I can live with that.

Thank you Katie and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love fake relationship stories, and Saving Danger was no exception. Ivy was a fantastic heroine-strong and independent but also not afraid to ask for help when she needed it. Nash was a great alpha hero willing to give his woman the credit she was due. Their chemistry leapt off the pages, and there was the perfect amount of suspense in the story.

I also appreciated that Saving Danger could be read as a standalone even though this story is deep in the Red Stone Security series.

Ivy Danger is an investigator for an insurance company. Her mission is to recover stolen works of art and save her company the expense of a massive claim. She’s come home to Miami hot on the trail of a gang of thieves who have stolen a painting but considering they’ve shown that they’re not afraid to murder with two bodies left behind them, the thieves aren’t going to just hand the painting over. Her brother’s best friend and Red Stone Security operative Nash Harris, has known for a while that Ivy is the woman for him so there’s no way she’s going anywhere without him covering her back.

This is the latest book in the Red Stone Security series and I can honestly say it’s my favourite one so far. With the other books I’ve always slightly felt that the danger element of the plot was almost like an afterthought but in Saving Danger the mystery/thriller element of the plot takes centre stage right from the start. I loved the characters in this book and it’s always good to catch glimpses of characters from previous books in the background and see how they’re doing. I loved that Nash was perhaps not happy, but was still willing to follow Ivy’s lead and respected her abilities in the field to the extent that he stood up to her brothers for their slightly derogatory behaviour, albeit unintentional, towards her. There didn’t seem to be much chemistry between them but then again not everything has to be all fireworks exploding and they had been friends for years before they were lovers. All in all this is an excellent addition to the series.

Katie Reus visits Red Stone Security bringing us another quick and intense read as Ivy Danger faces off not only a physical danger but also the danger of losing her heart to her best friend, Nash Harris. As an art recovery expert, Ivy leads an interesting and fulfilling life professionally, but her heart seems to call for home and Nash Harris.

New minted operative for Red Stone Security, Nash Harris has always loved Ivy and when circumstances lead them to fake a relationship, he jumps in with his two feet! And when Ivy’s life is threatened working her new case, Nash is right with her covering her six.

This is such a witty story and the dynamics of the Danger family and the dialogue is just a super fun read. It’s always wonderful to re-visit the original characters of Red Stone and makes you go back to read the entire series all over again. But each story is a standalone and playing catch up on the series is just pure reading pleasure to the new readers.

This light and quick read from Katie Reus is perfect for the romantic at heart.

Received an ARC from KR Press, LLC via NetGalley for an honest review.

I loved this latest addition to a great series. This far in, the author still makes every story fresh and engaging. The characters are fantastic and I think Nash and Ivy will hold a special spot in fans hearts. There is plenty of action. The romance sweet and steamy. This one is a combination of romantic suspense and friends to lovers. There is loads of tension to keep you wondering what will happen next. I also enjoyed Juan and Angel. And was intrigued by Genesis and Bruno. I'm so glad this series was continued. I can't wait for the next one.

This is book 17 in the Red Stone Security series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone! Ivy Danger is an art retrieval expert. She has landed what could be the biggest contract of her career and help her keep the animal shelter she inherited. She just has to stay alive long enough to finish the job. Especially when the gang of thieves doesn't want to give up their payday. Nash Harris is her brother's best friend and a security expert for Red Stone. He is the man of her fantasies-who always treats her like a kid sister. Brotherly is the last thing Nash feels for Ivy. He has known she was the one for him for a while but he has never acted on his feelings. But when they fake a relationship for her current job, things change between them. Now he not only has to keep her safe but convince her that they are meant to be.

I really liked this one! Not only do we get a true sense of who Nash and Ivy are-we get to see the dynamic with her family as well. Ivy is definitely a kick butt woman but she is also smart and just seemed wicked cool to me! Nash is exactly what I would expect of a security expert-alpha, protective, all while being a loving person. I liked how their story played out and they even though they have known each other for so long, they still had things to learn about each other. This wasn't an insta-love story, it truly felt like they grew into what their relationship became. The thing that slightly threw me off-I didn't quite understand how you go from being an art retriever to running an animal shelter. It didn't (and still doesn't) correlate in my mind. But that was really the only thing that threw me off. Otherwise, I loved everything else about this story! Although now I need a story about a certain side character and her bodyguard!!!

Saving Danger is the 17th book in Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series, but they are all written as stand-alone titles. However, this is the series that introduced me to this author, and I’ve read and loved them all. It’s one of my all-time favorite series. If you’re looking for a great romantic suspense series to binge on, I highly recommend this one! It’s a friends-to-lovers, fake relationship, brother’s best friend romantic suspense.

I loved Nash and Ivy. She’s tough, intelligent, and savvy, but she’s not afraid to take advice for her safety’s sake. Nash is a wonderful balance of alpha protector who realizes that Ivy is so much more than her family gives her credit for and intuitive enough to give her the credit she’s due. They also have chemistry in spades. While the suspense is good, I truly enjoyed watching them dance this dance and finally admit their feelings.

There’s a reason Katie Reus is one of my go-to authors for romantic suspense. She consistently delivers quality stories with wonderfully heartfelt characters and engaging and sexy suspense. I know when I pick up one of her books, I had better have a lot of free time because I will not want to put it down, and Saving Danger was no exception. As always, I’m excited for what’s next from this author!

NICUnurse’s Rating: I give Saving Danger by Katie Reus 4 out of 5 stars!
