The personal anecdotes and threads of hope bound this book together and allowed it to shine brightly, even though the theme was a tough one: suffering. Just as I've learned that the greatest joy is birthed in the most difficult moments in my life, the author of this book shares a similar viewpoint in her own life. It was wonderful to see the workings of God in her life and in the lives of her family, friends, and acquaintances throughout the pages of this book. I deeply appreciate the various aspects of suffering, hope, joy, and faith that Ms. Lovejoy highlighted and explored through the ten chapters in this book. It was so great that I wish I could afford to buy up dozens or hundreds of copies to hand out to everyone I know... and even people I haven't yet met! It's definitely going to have a spot on my keeper bookcase for many years to come. I hope you will find it just as encouraging and inspiring as I have. It is definitely a book worth reading at least once in the very near future.

This book helped open my eyes to a view of suffering that was all completely foreign to me. Suffering has a sweet side? Why, yes. It actually does and this book changes the readers outlook of suffering and discusses the various types of sweetness that can be found when you know to look for it and change how you look at it.
Great book!
