Michael and Natalie have been having marital problems and so Michael decides to take his family to New York to reconnect with them. Once there, Michael goes out for pizza but when he returns, his wife and children, and their luggage are missing. This book is a series of twist and turns that take you on. a rollercoaster of a ride, and keeps you guessing until the very end. This is the story of a wife who has been planning to run for some time and a husband who has secrets and guilt that he wants to remain buried, this book is a page turner that keeps you engrossed until the very end. Fantastic story. |

Once again, DJ Palmer has written a well crafted thriller filled with twists and turns. It read through this book in a couple days since I couldn't put it down. I had a ton of different theories while reading the book and they kept changing as the book went on. This is definitely a 5 star book for me. Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for this advanced readers copy. |

So, I honestly didn’t love this book. It started off strong telling the story of Michael’s missing wife and kids. It was suspenseful and fast-paced told in alternating perspectives - from Michael and his missing wife, Natalie. But towards the end, the story got really confusing and was kind of a hot mess. Too many minor characters who all of a sudden played a huge role in the story. Definitely not one of D.J. Palmer’s best books. |

Twisty, turny, this book will keep you guessing right up to the end. An excellent, not-easily-put-downable read. that had me glued to my seat. |

DJ Palmer did not disappoint in this page turning thriller. This grabbed me from the beginning and I was surprised at the ending which I love. I hate it when a book is predictable. This is not the case with this one. I don’t want to give anything away so not going into a ton of detail. Just know this is a great book!! Enjoy and I hope you are as surprised at the end as I was! |

Wow, this was unexpectedly good. I should not be surprised as I loved the last one! This was the perfect balance of clever storytelling, primarily from Michael, the husband, and then a mix of Michael and Natalie the wife, I’m not going into too much of the story as you should just read it without too much info, but obviously by the title it revolves around the disappearance of Natalie. I went back and forth over who was the villain. I changed my mind as many times as I turned pages. It’s great, please read it. |

D.J. Palmer does it once again! I was so engrossed in this book that it was difficult to put down. Natalie has found out some unsavory secrets about her husband and has decided to leave him in the middle of their vacation. With alternating views of each character, you get to see Michael's thoughts as well as Natalie's flight plan. What you think you know you really don't know. This book had me questioning every detail. Was Michael really a terrible person? Or maybe it was Natalie? The ending reveals all in a very twisted story ending I didn't see coming. As with his other books, you can tell the details of certain scenarios were researched. D.J. Palmer has such a knowledge of all things medical and it definitely comes into play and brings his characters to life. If you love the Thriller genre you won't want to miss this one. |

This had a solid creative story line. It was well written and had a good amount of twists and turns. I did find the story moved a little slower than most of this authors books but it was still a good read. I also found I didn’t connect with the main character really well. But overall I enjoyed the book and the unique plot so I do still feel this book is worth a read. |

Second book read by D.J Palmer and both have been 5 stars for me! I absolutely loved ‘The Perfect Daughter’ so I was beyond excited to receive an advanced copy of ‘My Wife Is Missing’ in exchange for an honest review. Thank you SO much St. Martin’s Press! This was such a thrill of a ride! What a perfect ‘Cat and Mouse’ type read that is absolutely movie worthy! I found myself switching frequently on which character I was rooting for and which one I thought was suspicious. I always thought I had it figured out and then I would be completely thrown off again and again. Such a great plot and filled with so much action. Loved the ending how everything was tied off. DJ Palmer is definitely on my radar now for sure! |

One of my criteria for giving a book five stars is that I wouldn’t change a thing about it. While this doesn’t have quite the same feel as some other books I would give five stars, I can’t think of one thing I would make different about this book. It was a really fun and entertaining read! Michael and Natalie are going through a rough time in their marriage. Natalie has been suffering from insomnia…not the “oh it takes forever to get to sleep, maybe I’ll ask my doctor about melatonin” kind of insomnia. The kind that goes on for months, that medication doesn’t help, the kind that can eventually make you paranoid, anxious and even cause a person to have hallucinations. Natalie is trying to keep it together at work, and also for their two children, Addie and Bryce, but she’s physically and mentally unstable from lack of sleep. She feels like Michael is cold, distant and unwilling to have empathy for her. She also knows, via an anonymous note, that her husband is having an affair. She suggests a trip to New York City to refresh, so off the family goes for their first vacation in ages. After the long drive, Natalie says she is too tired to go out for dinner, so she asks Michael to grab some pizza. When he returns to the room, pizza in hand, they are gone. Not only are his wife and kids gone, their clothes and suitcases are gone. After a panicked meeting with the hotel manager, the police are called and eventually they find security footage of Natalie and the kids walking out of the hotel with their luggage, getting into a hired car, and leaving without a trace. Since they aren’t separated or divorced, there is little the police can do. The kids didn’t look like they were under duress, their mother didn’t seem to be acting erratically, and it’s not a crime for her to leave with them. Michael is terrified - he knows his wife is not well. She’s not sleeping and it’s affecting her mental state. Where is she going? Will she be able to take care of the kids on her own? Did she leave because she knows about his indiscretions … and if so, which ones? The book goes back and forth between Michael and Natalie’s points of view, both before and after the disappearance. As the book went on, it got deeper and deeper as more and more secrets are revealed. I thought I got to the ending (and it was great), but then there was another one (also great). THEN, there was another one I completely didn’t see coming, and that final ending was fantastic. This was so entertaining, and there is so much more to the story than one would originally think (I won’t spoil that stuff, you’ll just have to read it!). I was impressed with how seamless the entire thing was, even though it jumped around all over the place. The insomnia part made this extra original, because it changes a person’s mind so much. I started to wonder all kinds of things when it was Natalie’s part of the book, because you never know what lack of sleep will do to a person. As I said before, there is not one thing that I would change about this novel, so it gets five happy stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (Thank you to St. Martin’s Press, D.J. Palmer, and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review.) |

5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I would definitely be recommending this book to readers on my Instagram bookstagram account. |

Natalie and Michael have been married nineteen years and have two children. They have recently become distant with each other and each is beginning to believe the worst about the other. Each of the main characters is the lead in various chapters. As a reader, I honestly could not decide who was good and who wasn’t. Natalie has become an insomniac, could she be hallucinating? Michael either had or didn’t have an affair. Could it have been with the young woman working at Natalie’s office, the young woman brutally murdered in her home? Natalie takes her children and runs. Michael begins looking for her. Going any further would lead to spoilers. It is worth the read. Thanks to Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC for an honest review. |

Thinking they are going to enjoy a much needed getaway as a family Michael and Natalie arrive in New York with kids in tow. Michael never would have known the trip he would really be taken on when he comes back to the hotel room and his wife has disappeared with his children. DJ Palmer is excellent at leading the reader on twists and turns but then totally turning the boat upside down to reveal the truth. DJ Palmer is def one of my new favorite authors. |

Wow!, What an intense and exciting suspense novel. Full of action that kept me flipping through the pages. Characters that are flawed yet believable make this book a real thriller. I really enjoy this authors books and this one doesn’t disappoint. The story flows smoothly and quickly and is full of twists and red herrings. So many times I thought I had it figured out but then I changed my mind. If you enjoy excitement on every page of your book, love troubled characters and have a weakness for mystery and suspense then you have to read My Wife Is Missing. I can guarantee you will binge read this novel. Many thanks to St Martin’s Press for the invitation to read the ARC via NetGalley. |

This was thrilling, thrilling, thrilling! Michael and his wife Natalie and their two children go to New York for a little holiday. While Michael is out picking up a pizza, Natalie and the children disappear. Michael narrates and so does Natalie, she both in the present and before she disappeared. The narrations were beautifully done. I really did not like Natalie. I thought disappearing with the children was a bit over the top just because he had an affair. But then we learn a lot more about secrets. I never would have guessed the ending, I thought it went another way. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy |

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. When Michael's wife goes missing with their children on a family vacation to New York, he is devastated. He does everything in his power to find his family and the secrets that they both have. This book kept me guessing until the very end. |

This is one of those books that you go in to blind and then become blinded by all the secrets and lies that besmirch pretty much all the reputations of the main characters as the race to discover the truth is on! Michael and Natalie and their two children are headed off for a weekend vacation when suddenly Natalie disappears with the kids while Michael is out getting them pizza for dinner. What's going on here? The answers are as deep as a well so don't even attempt to solve this by yourself! Vacillating between past and present, the novel explores the relationship between the couple, what goes wrong for each of them, and what each attempts to cover up so as not to reveal past mistakes. Palmer is and adept story-teller so just sit back and enjoy the ride as you'll have whiplash for days (in the very best way) as it races to its explosive conclusion! Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this ARC |

I have read the authors previous works and was super excited to dive right into this thriller. However, the characters were lacking depth, Natalie was an unreliable narrator, and I knew who the killer was from the time of introduction of the character. This book just fell flat on a lot of fronts. From the suspension of belief that a New York cop would tag along to find a missing person and investigate a murder NOT in his jurisdiction, the back story of Michael, the back story of Audrey. The story dragged in a lot of places, about 3/4 of the book could be skimmed over when Natalie is "missing". To make this story great, bring more depth, more nuance to the characters. This book was just me shaking my head....nope, that would NOT have happened. Nope, that doesn't make sense...NOPE the ending is horrible. Overall a predictable book that misses the mark. |

DJ Palmer never disappoints! Another runaway suspense thriller. Michael Hart and his wife Natalie have 2 children, Bryce 6 and Addison 10. Natalie has developed insomnia to the point where she is experiencing serious debilitating side effects. The family go to the Marriott Hotel in NYC for a vacation when Natalie and the children disappear. Initially I sided with Michael but did I really have all of the facts? Was Natalie's side of the story the truth? Just how far will each go to get what they want.? This book had me so hooked I didn't do anything but read until I had finished the book! Thank you St Martin's Press for allowing me to volunteer to read this book by DJ Palmer through Net Galley. I can hardly wait for release day to buy my own copy. 6/5 stars. |

Wow!! This book was amazing, the plot twists were amazing. Had me hooked from the first page until the very last. 5 stars!! |
