But as some of Bettie’s wishes lose their charm, she finds herself thrown off-kilter by Hall’s sweet nature. Suddenly, grumpy Bettie is finding her heart merry and light. But the happier she gets, the shorter Hall’s time on earth grows. Can Bettie channel the Christmas spirit and learn to live with goodwill toward all men? Or will her selfish ways return as soon as the holidays are over?

I absolutely love Sarah Hogle’s books and this was no exception! I could not stop reading and every opportunity I had was spent on this book! When I was finished with it, I wanted to read it again! I loved, loved, loved it!

I am in. freaking. love. with this book. Jingle bells are ringing in my head, because the Christmasy vibes in this book are simply immaculate. The romance was an A+. The characters were an A+. The plot? You already know... A+.
I really had no complaints.
If this book isn't in your hands this upcoming holiday season, you're doing something wrong.

Somebody make this book into a movie STAT! So crazy and so much fun! I laughed and then I cried, my heart swelled, just all the feels. Bettie and Hal, the sweetest, zaniest couple to ever exist. This book is magic, I never wanted it to end.

I adore Sarah Hogle. Both of her previous books, You Deserve Each Other and Twice Shy, were five star reads for me, This book makes her 3 for 3.
While I adore her contemporary writing style in You Deserve Wach Other, Twice Shy really shined with its use of magical realism, so I was incredibly happy to see she was at it again.
This book is wonderful. A beautiful, funny, heartfelt PG-rated Christmas love story that easily blows every Hallmark movie out of the water. I can’t wait to reread this book every Christmas.

Sprinkled with candy canes, an unexpected hero, & plenty of LOLs, Sarah Hogle’s Just Like Magic is the magical holiday romcom I didn’t know I needed. Hogle is a genius at making an unlikeable heroine the reader’s ride or die, & when Bettie, the grinchy down-on-her-luck former It Girl, gets a bit of holiday magic in the form of a very handsome Holiday Spirit, I was all in. Over the top in the best way, this heartfelt, hysterical romance was a perfect holiday gift.
