I was unaware that this was a novella when I first started reading and therefore was rather disappointed at what felt like an abrupt ending. I wasn't engaged throughout, which felt fine because I had assumed there was a lot of set up happening as this was perhaps the beginning of a series. I was rather disappointed when I found out that was not the case. The novel didn't blend well, and the romance fell flat for me. I was disappointed overall. |
