I wish I had discovered this book earlier. As a children's librarian, I've read some middle grade books about women who took on the disguise of men, but this is the first adult novel I've read. I admire authors who can take bits and pieces of history and make it into a coherent, thought provoking book. Klaber did this well.

This book came to me at the perfect time.
Well written and encouraging. It has a light hearted feel, even though it is dealing with quite a serious subject, which makes it easier to read.
