I really enjoyed this book. I loved the first meeting. Being swept off your feet by a hunky cowboy!! This is exactly what romance books are about. I loved the banter between the brothers even though in the beginning it came across as a little creepy. The main characters were wonderful to read. They both were very opinionated but yet the chemistry burned to hot to ignore. |
Amazing book. This is a great start for the new series. It is a greatly written story with great characters all wrapped in a beautiful book. Jake and Sophie's story is unique and full of passion. They are both very likable and easy to fall in love. From start to beginning they start a dance of attraction which later explodes in hot flames. In this small town, Sophie first time feels accepted, and the people accept her with open arms. At first, she sees Jake actions like work against her but that is just Jakes way to protect the one he loves. I hope the other brothers and sister have an as great book as was this one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly |

I received an advanced reader's copy of Against the Wall by Rebecca Zanetti from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have read other novels by Rebecca Zanetti previously so I did have expectations for a solid read and, happily, was not let down by Against the Wall. Overall, I enjoyed this novel and I found it to be well written. The primary characters' romantic start seemed a little unbelievable (not a meet-cute...sort of a meet-awkward), but it improved quickly. Also, I enjoyed the primary and secondary characters' interactions and the steamy scenes were hot. A fun, quick read! |
This book starts out with a startling opening scene. Action right from the start. I was almost as surprised as Sophie. I also enjoyed this story even more than I hoped to. Of course, Rebecca Zanetti is an author that I look for because I have enjoyed so many of her books. I'm so happy that this one didn't disappoint me either. I really liked it. It was a fun, quick story with a good community of people in place as secondary people. I wouldn't mind reading more especially about the other brothers. Quinn seemed to have something heating up with another young woman new to the community. Juliet is the name of that particular woman. She has a art gallery that she is trying to establish. Also the Lodge's sister Dawn has a unrequited love for Hawk that just might not be all that impossible. The main characters, Jake and Sophie were great on their own and as they scrap together. Even six year old, Leila brings a smile to my face more than once. Jake and Sophie definitely have some challenges to overcome. Sophie is one independent woman because she has never really had all that many people who cared to look out for her. When she meets Jake her reactions to him scare the daylights out of her. Especially because he is almost like a force of nature. One that she eventually does have more than one sexual encounter with. The age old question comes up about is this just sex or is it more. There is at least one group that is willing to commit violence to keep the golf course from coming about. And it's not who you would normally expect. I liked how the story ended and the Epilogue was pretty satisfying too. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.” |

Who doesn't everyone love a Cowboy ? Well here the author introduces a whole family of single, gorgeous Cowboys and to start with she gives us Jake the lawyer. Jake's a single dad looking out for his family and tribe when he quite literally sweeps more than a handful off her feet ! Sophie has a job to do and that's to get her plans for a golf course approved so she hasn't got time for any sexy shenanigans with the guy whose determined to stop her or has she ? This was a sexy straightforward read about a lonely woman finally finding out just where she belongs. I loved that this family are native American as it added a touch I hadn't expected. I particularly enjoyed the way everyone was there for each other. I did think Sophie was a pushover at times but when faced with such a controlling alpha male as Jake who could blame her ? Fun, sexy and sweet as well and definitely a story to make me smile. This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fai |
WHEW!!! The title says it all. He always had her against the wall! I loved every bit of this book. He was so alpha but such a great guy. I loved the family and her dreams and how she talked to Bob. I loved the ending where he was so scared. But, it all turns out good. Rebecca gives us the HEA I love. Another great story!!! |
This was an enjoyable read that had me trying to figure things out before they happened, which I like. The suspense was great, the insta-love thing not so much. The conversations between the characters were a little confusing, as in it was hard to figure out who was actually speaking. And as nice as jake seemed, he sure didn’t spend much time with his daughter which was not a good thing in my eyes. I think Leila needed to be more present and involved. Over all, a nice read. |
A wonderful book. I would definitely recommend it❤! It was very well written and the characters had depth to them and the story tugged my heart. I thoroughly enjoyed reading every part of it. Overall it was very enjoyable and I would love to read more from this author again! |

Sexy and hot!!! I loved this book!. Jake is the sexy and commanding tribal lawyer who is a protector at heart and literally sweeps Sophie off her feet. She is there to design and gain approval for a golf course, while Jake is representing the tribe in opposing it. Despite being on opposite sides, the sparks fly between them and practically ignited the pages of my kindle. I loved the characters in this novel and how the author wove a back story for each of them that added depth to the story and made it feel real. I found myself invested in their story and wanting them to get their HEA ending. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list. |
