“Scarlett Lancaster holds so much power over me in the palm of her hand, it’s downright scary.”
Ugh Monica, if there’s one thing you do well it’s write amazing books. I’ve had nothing but amazing things to say about every book of yours that I’ve read and this one didn’t disappoint! I’ve loved every Lancaster book you’ve put out and I loved the different take you put on this book! Tate, oh gosh he may be my favorite book boyfriend yet. There was something about his lack of confidence and the way you write Scarlett’s unwavering support in him.. ugh so so good. Wish it was less of a slow burn but it was worth it in the end!! ⭐️: 5/5 🌶️: 2/5

Lonely for You by Monica Murphy is a captivating and heartfelt romance that pulls at your emotions from the very first page. Murphy masterfully crafts a story of love, longing, and the complexities of relationships. The characters are deeply relatable, each grappling with their own vulnerabilities, making their journey toward each other all the more poignant. The chemistry between the protagonists is electric, and their emotional connection feels authentic and raw. If you’re a fan of romance novels that explore the depths of love and heartache, Lonely for You is a must-read that will leave you rooting for a happy ending.

Lonely for you only is ideal for those who like classic NA.
With that being said, it definitely wasn't for me but I like murphy's other books!
thank you net galley, monica murphy, & the publisher for the arc!

This one felt like it just really lacked what I was looking for. That third act break up thing is just seriously over done. And could in most times be fixed when people talk to each other. I felt like this one is a take it or leave it story. For me it failed.

Scarlett is an heiress who feels like she isn't her own person, but a shadow of her parents. When Tate Ramsey, former boy band superstar shows up at the same place as Scarlett, their chemistry is instant. Moving forward to work together to help them both, you see them grow into their own and face their insecurities. Such a good read with some hot moments!

I have been dying for Scarlet Lancasters story and this author didn’t disappoint! It’s not as angsty and steamy as I would have liked but it was a refreshing read nonetheless , loved it!

I enjoyed this book. It was nice being back in the Lancaster Prep universe. Monica Murphy books always make me feel giddy and all warm in fuzzy inside.

🎸Ex Boy Band Member
🎸Heiress
🎸Fake Dating
🎸Slow Burn
Oh boy Tate Ramsey and Scarlett Lancaster had me hooked from the first chapter. I found this concept and dynamic so nostalgic since I grew up in a prevalent boy band era.
Tate Ramsey is an ex boy band member, he was the member scarlet had on her wall…. But eventually out grew the group when they broke up. Tate is down on his luck, doing personalized messages for anyone willing for a little bit of nostalgia. Scarlets birthday rolls around and her dad wants to surprise her with a little “blast from the past”… non other then Tate himself. There is instant attraction and chemistry from the very beginning. A stroke of fate brings them together in front of the media… and soon they are claimed by the public as the new it couple…
This is a fake dating trope, Tate needs Scarlett to better his career. Obviously what starts out as a fake for the media turns into so much more. I loved the simplicity to this story, it was relatively straight forward with a little angst. Unlike a few of the other Lancaster books, this one doesn’t take place in high school. Scarlets 18 and finding herself, I loved the setting and dynamic between these two, I’m genuinely a sucker for celebrity/ rock star trope and this checked all my boxes. It is a slower burn… but there’s a lot to tell and growth from these characters. Definitely recommend this is the type of story that will put a nostalgic smile on your face.

A must read! I couldn't put this one down and the characters were so well developed. Now I'm going to have to read more by this author.

This book was okay. I haven't read anything else from this author, so this was my first read. I felt like this book fell a little flat for me, I think it was a lot longer than it had to be.

3.5⭐️
This book was about Scarlett, a young heirless and Tate, a former pop star. It was interesting and kind of different than the author’s other books but it could also be so much more. One thing I loved was the family dynamic. It was healthy and not like all the other Lancaster’s. I can say I was more interested in Scarlett’s parent story

I had to go and finished off the previous Lancaster series before I started this one. That’s why it took forever to review this book. Overall, this isn’t my favourite in the series. While I am grateful there are more to this series. Unfortunately I felt like the book could’ve been slightly shorter. But wished there was more information on Tate. The story wasn’t balance enough.
Thank you NetGalley, publisher and author for giving me a chance to review this book.

This is not my usual kind of romance, which is maybe why this wasnt my favorite read...
Scarlett Lancaster is the oldest daughter in a family that is old money rich.
Tate Ramsey was a big deal teen star in a boy band, FiveCar Pileup.
I think both characters led interesting lives, Scarletts parents, though old money parents led very non-traditional values. Tate had a tough time as a famous teen and that has humbled him and has since cleaned up his act.
The chemistry lacked, if felt like Tate was just attracted to Scarlett, and Scarlett was OBSESSED with Ian (who just disapears?)
I think the premise was very interesting, and so was the set up, just wish there was more linking them together.

This was such a good light read for in between some of the darker romances I read. I loved Scarlett in this book. She grew as a person with Tate but blossomed so much more within herself too.
If you’re looking for a book that has:
Slow Burn✔️
Fake Relationship✔️
Rockstar Romance✔️
This one is for you!

I think I might have liked the sbetter if I read the other ones, but I just had a really hard time connecting with these characters and did not vibe with it.

The most amazing addition to Lancaster Prep. I loved Scarlett and Tate! They were the perfect couple.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. This is the second book I have read from Monica Murphy. This book follows Scarlett as she navigates being thrown into a deal for a music artist to make a comeback. The question is will it be beneficial for both parties. I thought it was a good story, I realized after this is part of a series so I do not know if I read out of order. However, this was a good story and loved reading their story and choosing one another above everything else.
Recommend.

I was gifted this arc in exchange for an honest review. So, let’s start by saying that I just loved all of the tropes that were in this story-rockstar romance trope, bad boy/good girl trope, close proximity trope, fake dating trope, and I LOVE a good dual POV!! Scarlett is such a sweet and pure soul who is essentially taken by the bad boy, Tate Ramsey. The innocence of Scarlett was so fun to watch and really exciting to see them slowly fall for each other. Of course the HEA was the icing on the cake! The story as to how Scarlett and Tate got to that point was the perfect set of ingredients for the cake!
I had a lot of fun reading this book! As my first Monica Murphy book, I will be back for more! Aside from the actual story, the hardcover dust jacket and book itself is GORGEOUS! If you’re in the mood for extra EXTRA spicy, with an exciting hard to get innocence, this is for you! I recommend picking this one up asap!

This was such a beautiful read. I savoured every bit of it. The characters were so lovable. I fell in love from the very beginning.

This is a captivating, opposites attract romance between heiress Scarlett and former boy band star Tate. These incredible characters are easy to fall for. The sparks, chemistry, tension and emotions really zing back and forth between them. The storyline offers an addicting combination of feels, swoon, laughter, heart, drama and twists, with stellar secondary characters. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. Funny, sweet, insightful and inspiring, you won’t want to miss this love story!
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
