I'm being generous with a 3-star rating, all because I liked the ending!
Zane and Channing story had its issues for me, Zane being a bit of a douche, and the restaurant table sex... He improved through the book, but still thought too much of himself in my opinion.
An ok read but Channing could have done better, even if he was a demon in bed!

Zane – Brenda Jackson
Rating: 4.5 Divaz Starz
Synopsis: No woman walks away from Zane Westmoreland. But when Channing Hastings
does just that, it leaves the rancher reeling—and then she returns to town, engaged! Zane
will do whatever it takes to show her that there is no man for her but him.
Review: The next Westmoreland man up for love is Zane Westmoreland. Zane is your
typical player that is up front with his intentions and lets the woman know he will be the
one to end the relationship and is determined to never fall in love. That is until Channing
Hastings crossed his path. Two years ago, Zane and Channing pursued a relationship and
of course Zane made is intentions or should we say lack of intentions clear. Channing
deciding she wanted more ends the relationship and moves to Atlanta. Of course, Zane is
not a happy camper and when a family wedding brings these two together it is with the
news that Channing is engaged and the man is not Zane. Zane doesn’t feel Channing’s
intended is good enough for her and proceeds to show her that he is the one for her. There
are some issues and challenges both must face to find their way now the matrimonial aisle.
Will Zane succeed in his quest to win Channing’s heart again? Pick up a copy of Zane and
find out.
Hats off to Mrs. Jackson for a great installment in the Westmoreland series. After 23 books
in this series, Mrs. Jackson was able to craft the story and develop the characters to where
you could experience the emotions and turmoil Channing and Zane encountered. The
storyline flowed and made for a good quick read. Zane never realized his true feelings until
he is really faced with the fact that he could lose Channing. The setting was appropriate to
the storyline and also delve into Canyon’s storyline, which is the next book in this trilogy.
Overall this was a good book and I always love to see when the male hero experiences his
“aha moment” and realizes he can no longer live without the love of his life.
