Ashton's restaurant in Chicago is in trouble so her business partners convince her to join a reality cooking competition. Ty is a celebrity chef and one of the show's judges. Sparks fly from their very first meeting, but they know they shouldn't be together.

The story is told in dual POV and I liked getting to see the competition and show. The contestants and challenges gave a fun behind the scenes look at the show. It was also a nice back drop to Ty and Ashton falling for each other.

There was one thing that gave me pause about the book, and it was a joke about eating disorders made by Ty. I really wish it had not been included as it was 100% unnecessary.

“Some Like it Spicy” was a sexy, sweet, entertaining and breathtaking wonderful story. I absolutely loved every minute of reading this book. A well deserved 5 stars to one of my favourite fictional couples out there. Definitely in the top 5!! Totally recommend

Holy guacamole! What a tasty read! Robbie Terman really brought their A-game with this one - hard to resist storyline, endearing characters and so much fun! Nicely done.

Please note that an ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

The Perfect Recipe #1, I have read the other two books in this series each a stand alone so you don't have to read them if you don't want to but they are sooo goood! I love reading romance that has cooks/chefs/bakers throw in a cooking competition and I'm all over it. I really enjoyed this one, it has humor, excitement, and betrayal. Terman did a great job of portraying the nerve racking excitement of a competition. The sexual tension and chemistry between Ty and Ashton is super hot and breaking up the tension both in and out of the kitchen is the humor, which had some real laugh out loud moments.

Ashton learned how to cook from her grandmother and after culinary school her grandmother died and left her with some money to open her own restaurant. With her two best friends Ashton opened Sweet Home. Ashton has spent her whole life trying to make her father proud he's her toughest critic, and as a famous food critic he's pretty harsh. Ty Cates is tired of the celebrity lifestyle and the paparazzi and all the sycophants who all want something from him; it's been months since been in a kitchen and even longer than that since he's been in his own restaurant's kitchen. He would love to get out of the spotlight and spend some time with his family and just cook but he has contracts to fulfill.

Ty and Ashton fall in love during The Next Celebrity Chef, but fraternization between contestant and judge is forbidden. Ashton keeps thinking that it's all just a fling and by the end of the show it will be over that doesn't keep her from falling in love. Ty knows what he has with Ashton is much more than anything he's ever felt before and he's willing to risk everything on their relationship. But will their relationship survive when the truth comes out? Overall, it is a great book I loved the cheesy over top ending.

Ty and Ashton are heating up the pages in this story. When Ashton's restaurant comes close to closing, she gets an opportunity to bring publicity to her doors by competing on a reality TV show. Ty wants to find a way of getting out of his commitment but will meeting Ashton change his mind. This story will definitely have you engrossed until the last page. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this story for an honest review.

I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to feel about this book after I started it. I liked Ashton a lot, but I wasn’t so sure about Ty. There was something about him that turned me off. Eventually though he won me over with the way he treated Ashton. I loved the setting of the book. I’m a big fan of reality cooking shows and have always wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes. This might be the closest that I ever get.

Ty and Ashton had some great chemistry and there were some really hilarious moments in this book as far as the cooking competition went. I did feel the book was pretty predictable which at times detracted from my enjoyment of the story. Overall though this was a fun read and I think a lot of people will really enjoy it.
