I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I have to say these were cute romantic shorts stories and I enjoyed them a lot. My favorite was the last story with Hailey and Carwyn. I love a tough guy who stands up for the one he loves and is not consumed with looks but falls for someone that is kind, smart and beautiful inside and out.

Definitely pick this one up for a Christmas read!

Mistletoe Season is a combination of three delightful novellas that are perfect quick reads during the holiday season. Women will love curling up with all three stories of romance.
Kathleen Fuller' story "Say No to Mistletoe" is different from most romance as it's with two 40 somethings that a chance at love of a long-time crush for Emmy when her best friend's brother comes home again. My personal favorite is by Pepper Basham and returns us to Skymar characters when the prince has to spend time in North Carolina helping Luke in construction to help reform him. While there, he has a chance for love. Sheila Roberts is the most famous of the three authors and she gives a second chance for love in "Say No to Mistletoe" when Carwyn Davies comes back home after a broken engagement to find her high school crush is also back home!
When you need a break after a long day of getting ready for the holidays, you will get it with these sweet stories.

If you are looking for clean romance novellas, give this collection a try.

Return to Mistletoe was delightful with a second chance at love for Kieran and Emmy. Who wouldn’t enjoy a story of an Irishman returning to the small town of Mistletoe?

The Mistletoe Prince has well-loved Skymar characters from a previous series that I was curious to learn about them. Prince Arron has a lot to change in his life, but with the love of his sister and help from Charlotte, his story leaves you with a smile on your face and a happy heart. This was my favorite of the three stories.

Say No to Mistletoe- Hailey Fairchild equates her failed romantic relationships with kissing under mistletoe. What if kissing Carwyn, the very first guy she kissed, can actually work this time? Trusting and taking a chance on love with a mistletoe do-over with the boy-next-door was a fun way to end the book.

I received a complimentary copy of the book. A positive review was not required and all opinions are my own.

3.5 ⭐️ Who doesn’t love a good Christmas novella this time of year? And in this case 3 of ‘em? Delightful! Sheila Roberts and Kathleen Fuller are both new to me authors, and of course, Pepper Basham is a well loved author of mine. I think it was a strong collection of heartwarming stories to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Return to Mistletoe: 3.5⭐️
I don’t typically love reading about characters in their 40s (with salt and pepper beards), because I am just not to that point in my life, but I did enjoy this one. When Kieran said lass, wow. It could make any woman weak in the knees. Ultimately, Emmy and Kieran were adorable. The third act breakup was not necessary, especially in a book that is less than 100 pages, but I still thought their story was cute. Also, the antique store just adds to that small town, cozy, Christmas charm that makes for a cute story.

A Mistletoe Prince: 4⭐️
I was not expecting this one to be about characters from her Skymar series, but it was a welcome surprise. Arran played basically no part in that series, he is mentioned, so I was glad to see he got his own redemption story. The meet-disaster was comical, the pie scene was so adorable to me, and Arran and Charlie were so cute! Pepper Basham does it again.

Say No to Mistletoe: 3⭐️
This one was obviously my least favorite and kind of a disappointing ending to this collection. I didn’t connect with the writing or the characters. The premise of the story was cute, mistletoe mishaps and all, but it fell a bit flat. I could not invest in Hailey and Carwyn’s relationship and mostly skimmed their story unfortunately.

Ultimately, I enjoyed these stories as a whole, and they got me very excited for Christmas!

*Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the authors, for the complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a wonderfully sweet Christmas read. There are three novellas in this book. I give the book 5* for sweet love stories at Christmas time, the characters are easy to fall in love with, the writing is descriptive and flows well. Definitely recommend!

Thank you to Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham, NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing for allowing me this arc e version in exchange for my opinion.

“Mistletoe Season” is a collection of three cute, clean Christmas novellas from three best-selling authors. I had only ever heard of Sheila Roberts, but not the other two. I was definitely blown out of the water with how cute they all were! Definitely giving Hallmark vibes for sure with the cute small town romance/second chance tropes 😍
I definitely am a sucker for smut, however clean romance is always a nice change from what I’m used to.

“The Mistletoe Prince” has that small town southern charm to it, with a faith element to it as well.

“Return to Mistletoe” was a Christmas romance between two older people (in their 40’s; which I don’t feel like we see a lot in romance books), with an Irish man (ooooh) who reconnects with Emmy, the antique shop owner. The rest is history after that 😉

“Say No to Mistletoe” Hailey Fairchild kissed her neighbor Carwyn Davies many moons ago under the mistletoe. It was definitely embarrassing for her & while she’s sworn off mistletoe ever since…he comes back into town when a second chance sparks between the two of them. This had all the vibes of a Christmas romcom + lightheartedness as well.

Thanks to NetGalley, the authors, & publishers for the copy of this eARC! I thoroughly enjoyed it! 🥰😊

I thought this was a delightful Christmas novel that was like being wrapped up in a warm blanket and watching the Hallmark Channel. I enjoyed the three different stories and I thought all of them were wonderful reads,

Such a fun collection of novellas! I was not familiar with Kathleen Fuller or Sheila Roberts and really wanted to read the collection for Pepper Basham's story. I'm glad I read all three stories; they were very different from each other but all full of Christmas cheer and spirit set in small towns.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller brought Emmy and Kieran together after two decades as more than friends. Their friendship and walk down memory lane were sweet. Their rise above their greatest fear was rewarding and I also enjoyed the interesting secondary characters.

A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham was everything I hoped for and more. Charlie Edgewood and Arran St. Clare had the perfect chemistry with banter, flirting, and same passion and vision. Charlie embracing her femininity and Arran embracing his royal purpose were truly delightful. A perfect Christmas rom-com indeed.

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was a fun romcom narrated in first person by a romance author named Hailey. Hailey was a little wonky with an imagination that took flight in all different directions. She was lovable, funny, self-deprecating and really such a complement to Carwyn whom she's had a crush on since forever. Their recounting of memories growing up next door to each other was endearing and their romance was heartfelt.

I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Thomas Nelson via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Sweet and swoon worthy Christmas romances, all three are so very different.

Kisses only, no swearing, sweet stories that take you away and make you forget you’re reading.

I enjoyed them all but Return to Mistletoe was my personal favourite, I loved the antique shop and could picture myself browsing through the store and chatting to Emmy and Carina.

Mistletoe Season by Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham - 4 Stars Overall
3 Christmas Novellas

Overall, these 3 novellas are charming and heartwarming holiday romances that perfectly show the magic of Christmas. I really enjoyed each of these, with Kathleen and Sheila being new to me authors! Looking forward to reading more by those authors. Pepper is one of my favorite authors and her's was my fav because we had Luke show back up! :)

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller - 4 Stars

This was a unique Christmas romance between two characters in their 40s. I really liked that because you don't see those ages of characters portrayed much. In this one, we have Emmy Banks, who is fully rooted in her community with her antique shop. Set in Mistletoe, Missouri, the shop add an extra layer of charm to it. Kieran O'Neill has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother's 70th birthday. We see him reconnect with Emmy, his sister's close friend, and spend time helping her in the shop. A romance ensues and the rest is history. :) I really liked the characters and small town - a very cozy read. I loved that he was Irish too, added a nice layer to the story.

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham - 4 Stars

We are back with our Skymar characters and this time Princess Ellie's brother is getting his romance! Prince Arran St. Clare lost his fairytale life in exchange for a 3 month "punishment" in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. He has to prove he is ready for royal life so he has to participate in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. The fundraiser not only forces Arran to get involved but also allows him to interact more deeply with the locals, helping him grow as a person. For anyone who LOVED the Skymar series like I did, this is a MUST read yall! (Specifically Loyally, Luke readers will love this the most!) We see Luke and Ellie again - which were lovely! Really enjoyed the faith elements in this too. A must read for those who enjoyed a mix of royalty, small-town charm, and a holiday romance.

Say No To Mistletoe - Sheila Roberts - 4 Stars

This one made me laugh out loud several times! I loved the mistletoe mishaps here. It's giving Christmas rom-com. We have a romance author, Hailey Fairchild, who always has a disaster under the mistletoe. Her handsome neighbor, Carwyn Davies, star of the basketball team, kissed her under the mistletoe many years ago and it was an embarrassing moment. Now, back home, she is determined to say no to mistletoe, until a second chance erupts between her and Carwyn. :) I really liked this one. I really needed the laughs and this one delivered!

Overall, this anthology is a great one to pick up during the holiday season. Very lighthearted, hallmark like novellas that are bound to be enjoyable!

Thank you to the Thomas Nelson for providing a copy to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller — This is a sweet story. I enjoyed Kieran and Emmy’s love story. They’ve known each other since they were kids, so there is no insta-love here. In fact, quite the opposite. This is a love story decades in the making. I appreciate that both the hero and heroine of this endearing tale are in their early 40s. As a woman in her early 40s, I appreciate seeing characters I could actually relate to. I love how Emmy is a grounded, stable, big-hearted heroine. She is the perfect person for the ever-wandering, runs-away-when-life-gets-too-tough hero. I like how Emmy and Kiran balance each other out. Together, they make a great team!

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham — Oh my goodness, is this one of the best stories ever! I absolutely love Basham’s Skymar series, so when I heard that this novella was Charlie’s love story I was all in! There is so much to love about The Mistletoe Prince. I love that readers get a complete story. Sometimes novellas feel uber fast and super rushed. But not when Basham writes them. In The Mistletoe Prince, we get a proper beginning, middle, and end. And so much realistic depth. Both Charlie and Arran carry heavy emotional burdens. They are broken people — people who definitely need to work out some heavy baggage — but they’re also really good people with big, kind, loving, compassionate hearts. Both Charlie and Arran have hearts for service. They genuinely enjoy helping others. It’s what motivates and energizes them. It is through this shared love of service that Charlie and Arran are able to move past presupposed notions about one another into actual, endearing friendship. I really appreciate how they bonded over their similarities. Yeah, he’s a royal prince and she works construction getting her hands dirty every day, but they both have deep hurts that need overcoming and a true love for helping people. There’s a lot there for them to establish a good friendship foundation. I love how they become the sort of friends who aren’t afraid to tell it like it is because it is their candidness that allows them to overcome their pasts and their pain. I genuinely loved journeying with Charlie and Arran as they moved from friendship to more. It was a sweet journey. I chuckled a ton and teared up a couple of times. All in all, The Mistletoe Prince was another home run by Pepper Basham!

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts — Hailey is a successful romance writer back home for the holidays. She is forced to confront her high school nemesis because her older brother is now dating her. Hailey also has to confront her long-standing crush on her brother’s best friend, Carwyn (not a fan of that name). I’m going to be honest, I struggled with the characters. They all feel incredibly flat to me, except for Hailey. She is pretty fleshed out, but she frustrates me with her selfishness. As far as the love story goes, I would have really liked to get Carwyn’s side of things. I think that would have helped me buy into his and Hailey’s journey to love. As is, it moves SO fast and happens so suddenly that it’s not very believable. This story has the bones of a good contemporary romance, it just needs reworking. Of the three stories in this collection, I struggled to connect with this one.

Overall, I do highly recommend Mistletoe Season. It absolutely got me in the mood for cooler weather, family, and Christmas celebrations.

This book reads like a collection of Hallmark Christmas movies! Sweet Christmas love stories from a range of characters...from a middle aged single mom to a royal trying to outrun his mistakes!

This is five stars for cozy Christmas feelings and just pure, simple enjoyment!

I really enjoyed these three Christmas novellas, particularly the second.

I'm a huge Pepper Basham fan, so I was excited to read "A Mistletoe Prince". "Loyally, Luke" (part of Ms Basham's Skymar series) introduced me to Prince Arran and Charlotte. Suffice to say, my intrigue about them has been peaked since!

As usual, Ms Basham's writing evokes huge smiles from me as I was sucked into the story. Sadly, I couldn't read this in one sitting (c'mon, life!). 😆

Kathleen Fuller's "Return to Mistletoe" was a sweet romantic read about a single mum and her childhood crush. Filled with the warmth and fun of a small town, this romance about people in their 40s was nice to read (I'm in my 40s too!).

Sheila Roberts's "Say No to Mistletoe" was a fun read! With engaging, witty banter and a fast-paced story (particularly in the beginning), I found it easy to read. It was Hallmarky but with more witticisms. 😂

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was feeling the Mistletoe...

Since this was the first mistletoe book I've read this season, I was down for it.

Okay this is like 3 cozy hallmark movies all wrapped up in one book. The stories don’t overlap. They’re completely separate from each other. Of the three, I think Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts was my favorite. All three stories were great though. The first story, Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, focuses on Emmy & Kieran. Kieran is back in his hometown for his mother’s birthday when he runs into his sister’s best friend, Emmy who happens to have had quite the crush on Kieran back in the day. The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. Prince Arran comes to stay with his sister in North Carolina to try and get his life back on track after his bad behavior & meets Charlotte who could use the help of a prince for the Christmas fundraiser. The third story, Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, is about Hailey’s bad luck with the men she meets under the mistletoe & she’s determined not to end up under it again with her childhood crush, Carwyn, when she returns home for the holidays. These are quick little reads that you could probably finish in 1-2 hours each.

Thank you to NetGalley & Thomas Nelson for the advance copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Mistletoe Season, Three Christmas Stories by Kathleen Fuller, Pepper Basham and Sheila Roberts
This is a collection of three novellas all involving mistletoe. They are heartwarming and uplifting stories that are easy to read and bring holiday joy.
The first is Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller. This story is about a single mom, Emmy and her adopted daughter, Carina. They own an antique shop called Mistletoe Antiques in a town named Mistletoe. Emmy and her former boyfriend, opened the store together but shortly after receiving a business loan, he left taking all the money with him. She is left trying to keep the store going. She is surprised when her high school crush, Kieran, returns after living in Ireland for over 20 years. He is also her best friend’s brother. As they renew their friendship they both realize that the developing relationship is more than a friendship. They have some obstacles to overcome, the biggest one being that Kieran returns to Ireland. What will become of their renewed relationship?
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham is the second story. Arran is royalty, a prince, with a bad-boy reputation. His family sends him to live with his sister in America and to work for her husband, Luke, who owns a construction company. Another stipulation is that Arran must help with the annual Christmas charity event, the Mistletoe Wish. Luke’s cousin, Charlotte, or Charlie, as they call her, is in charge of the charity and also works for the construction company. They have a rather comical and unfortunate first meeting. Charlie reluctantly decides she needs his help. Arran’s sister, Ellie, enlists Arran’s help in giving Charlie, a self proclaimed tom-boy, a makeover. Will Arran change his bad-boy ways and what will he and Charlie discover about themselves along the way?
The third story in this collection is Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. In this story, Hailey Fairchild, a romance writer, has had bad experiences with dates and mistletoe kisses. The author gives us an accounting of Hailey’s last three disastrous relationships all beginning with a kiss under the mistletoe. Hailey has vowed she will never kiss under the mistletoe again. When she returns home to spend Christmas with her family, she discovers her brother’s new girlfriend is the mean girl from high school. She is a hairdresser and convinces Hailey to let her color her hair. She purposely colors it bright green, and this is how Hailey looks when she sees her high school crush, Carwyn, for the first time in years. Hailey is convinced that in order for her to have a relationship with Carwyn, she must stay away from any mistletoe kisses. Their relationship seems to be progressing but problems arise when she realizes that their relationship would have to be a long distance one. He lives in her hometown and she lives in New York City, where her publisher is. After several months, Hailey knows she must make a decision. Will Hailey get over her fears? Will their relationship survive?
These three stories are lighthearted, clean romances filled with fun holiday spirit.
This is from the publisher’s website:
“Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild’s kryptonite. Every time she’s kissed someone under the mistletoe it’s led to love disaster. Not a good thing for a romance writer! When she was a gawky high school girl, her hunky neighbor, Carwyn Davies, star of the basketball team (and her dreams), kissed her under the mistletoe on a dare. But the kiss wasn’t a dream come true. It was a mortifying moment she’s never forgotten, and now she’s about to go home for the holidays, unengaged and . . . determined to say no to mistletoe. Especially if Carwyn is anywhere around.
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas. How could she not when she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri? Kieran O’Neill has spent years abroad, renovating an old Irish castle, but returns to Mistletoe for his mother’s seventieth birthday. He reconnects with Emmy, his sister’s close friend, and spends time with her in her charming antique shop. When the weather turns colder, things start to warm up between Emmy and Kieran. But can Emmy risk her heart when she knows he’ll never stay in Mistletoe, and she will never leave?
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare has lost his freedom and fairytale life in exchange for a three-month “punishment” in the small town of Ransom, North Carolina. To prove he is ready for the royal life for which he was born, Arran must engage in the Christmas charity fundraiser, The Mistletoe Wish. But when kindness, authenticity, and hard work prove more appreciated in Appalachia than a royal pedigree, Arran must face the mirror and find out who he is beyond the crown. Add a beautiful and intelligent woman who doesn’t recognize her own worth, some mistletoe, and a little Christmas magic and it all might be enough to help the rebel-prince understand what truly matters most.”
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the Thomas Nelson, Harper Collins via Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
