As flawed the book was, I couldn't help but like it. It was underwhelming in terms of plot complexity and character development, but the writing and sequence kind of made up for it; maybe it was the short length of the chapters or how horrific the topic was, I just found myself flying through the pages.
I have to say though, starting the book with 5 different POVs was really confusing, 4 chapters in and there was five characters already.
I think the POV of the sheriff was completely unnecessary, it didn't add to the book or had any significance. The same was for Anissa, we could've had a chapter or two from her point of view towards the end.
My favorite character was Tabitha, she was a layered character with flaws and merits. I liked how the author wrote her character arch and how she dealt with the loss of her child.
Overall, I think it was an enjoyable read, definitely not an elite mystery, but a good book to get you out of a reading slump.

When I first started I got really into this book but unfortunately as I carried on reading it just felt stale and slow.

This book somehow felt really slow to read but was also a fast read at the same time. It was an interesting story but I feel like there was so much slow build up for not a very crazy ending.

This one was good, it was a fast easy read. The writing was also smooth and enjoyable. I feel like everything did come to a rush in the end felt like it was not a realistic ending pretty much. But other then that the book was smooth and easy read.

This book was good, but I felt as though it was a bit anticlimactic. Everything wrapped up a little too nicely in the end for my liking.
