If you can get past the first person plural, this is a fascinating story of the wives living with those working on the atomic bomb. While it can be tedious to not have individual thoughts and feelings, it makes sense nce the bomb is created and dropped. It's too monumental to be felt by just one. It's a collective - it's shock and fear and awe, and so many things felts by so many people. A worthwhile read, we enjoyed it very much.

Using first person plural gives the novel a real feel of connectedness among the wives. I found the book very interesting.

This is a well-written and interesting book which shares with its readers some secrets of the lives of the women & families who were living in Los Alamos when it was first established. It sheds an interesting light on our country's history and how it affected our fellow Americans' lives.
